Happy Friday Gents. Well the "weather bomb" we were supposed to get here was more of a firecracker. It did get blustery with about 5cm of snow last night, but changed to rain and died off soon after. Never did see much wind. The bit of snow we had was wet and heavy this morning, but luckily not too much of it. Other places farther to the west were hit much worse though, more snow, more wind. At lot of power outages.

Looking forward to Canada vs Sweden play for the gold tonight at the World Juniors. Disappointed the US did not get in, I always like that match up for gold. How about I root for the US in the bronze game, OK?

Morning Guys,

Took a couple of hours to clean the driveway and deck after yesterday's storm. We had some pretty intense winds to go with the snow and lost one tree in the yard. Time to get the chainsaw out I guess. Jeff I hope you guys didn't get bad. I see there was lots of flooding in Boston and Halifax.

Top O the Mornin Dads! Looks like the guys at DaWorld are having a good time, lucky stiffs. I still say there needs to be two of these per year for those of us that just can't take the time the first year / right after the Christmas break. During Food & Wine would seem to make a good time, say mid September. Hope all have a good weekend.

No way on paper, especially considering out shot Sweden almost 2-1, U.S. should have lost but that's why they play the game. Good luck to the Canadians and thanks for the bronze medal game support.

We got a good bit of snow and wind, but it really didn't do much damage, so all's well that ends well.

Being a Flyers fan, I've been rooting for a good showing from Carter Hart as Canada's goalie.

A dusting of snow and too cold to freeze and form ice. It sucks living here.

I would think July would be the logical choice, since it would be 6 months apart. But, the January convention was selected for all the runDisney guys, and I'm not sure what event is in July. Speaking of runDisney, did you see that DVC is doing fixed weeks at Wilderness Lodge for those runDisney events? If I was a runner, that would be tempting.

Hey guys, just checking in. Met a few of the old timers in the Animal Kingdom today. We split up after we rode the Safari together. It was cold this AM and it kicked my butt. Skipped the BBQ because I was so spent this afternoon. Despite the weather we are having a good time.

Morning all from a -2C but Sunny London. Weird one this morning, took the Curly Haired Ninja to a kids party at my old High School. Haven't been back since the day I left.

Nothing for us on the agenda for the rest of the day, maybe some Disney infinity with the boy and Slow Cooked Chilli for Supper. And inside smores for the kids. Dry January is a nightmare as some people got me some great beer for Xmas, but I've lost 8lb since 1st Jan.

Norm, what's Vero Beach like? Me and the Lady K were looking at it for our beach section in August. Have you stayed in the 2 beds? (Don't have enough points for the cottages, thought they look lovely). Do the DVC's look over the sea?

Sort of. The kids party was in the theatre, and I used to build the sets and do the lighting, and the gantry was gone. I remember the gantry as when I was in the 6th form (17) we had a fashion show, and some of the girls in our class decided they were going to do a lingerie section. I didn't realise I had that many mates pitching for a spot up in that gantry.

We have the little chafing dish pots with ethanol gel (i use them for my coffee) and a holder that keeps the smores together. Marshmallow and Chocolately goodness.

Thanks mate. Another 15 to go and I'll be at my goal weight. I'm relatively lucky, once I decide to do it, it generally comes off. But I love Beer, Pizza and Pasta. Once I cut those out, I eat pretty well.

Morning all. Now that the storm is over our temperatures have returned to the land of the "extreme cold warning" level, back at -30C for today and tomorrow. Good times! All this cold weather makes one pretty inactive. Few days ago my FitGear told me I had 1300 steps for the day.

Yeah, that makes no sense to me at all.

It's kind of like being down to 9 men and still scoring against the 11, numerous times.
