How do they verify your hotel stay for early entry?

I'm staying at the Disneyland hotel in December and purchasing my tickets separately as I've already got a one day ticket from a friend. How will they verify my hotel stay for early entry? Are my tickets linked to my hotel stay when I check in? Just wondering since I'll have two tickets to work with during my stay.

Your room ket will have your name and stay dates printed on the key which is your EMH verification...and why each person in the party...even kids...needs their own room key to access EMH

Wait so i have to bring four room keys with me? Do they even give you four room keys?
That's what I'd like to know. We will be going with my DH, my mom and dad, and 4 siblings. 2 rooms but 7 room keys seems like a lot

I have only ever been asked to show one key card for my entire party. I've used early entry probably 50 times over the past 5 years.

Yes...every person needs a room key of your are gonna access EMH. There are plenty reports of "one per family" but the rule is one key per person for EMH and that has also been documented as being enforced here at times on this board...so I personally would not gamble and "hope" it works.

They print a room key for every registered guest staying in the room.

We’ve only ever had to show one key for our family of four....

We’ve had it both ways before. Sometimes, one room key is enough for my family of 6 and sometimes they want to see all of them. I would bring all of them just in case.

Thanks this is our first time staying on site and will definitely take all four room keys just to be safe

Bring them all. We’ve had to show 6 keys at times. Our trip last month, a family in front of us didn’t have keys for 2 members. They were not allowed in and had to go get them. Rest of party made rope drop without them. Not pretty and stallled the entrance for several minutes while they tried to argue their way into the parks.

WE only had to go back to the room once to get a couple of room keys.
It really cut into the EE time that morning.

Learning the hard way isn't fun.
Now we ALL make sure to have our personal room key with our ticket for EE.

It's definitely safer to have all room keys with you just in case. From my experience, generally you only need to show one room key per family at the GC entrance. But they have asked for everyone to show their keys when you enter through the Disneyland gates.

On our last trip, we had one day where one room key was enough for both of us, but all the other days we each had to show our own. Best to have them just in case.

Count us as those in the "Bring all the keys" group. We've had to show all keys about 50% of the time.
