Was it because of the storm?

Mine could’ve been sent around 9/10 if it wasn’t because of the storm and if Disney hadn’t taken so long with the estoppel.
I don't think so....in fact I have an email from the broker on 9/18 saying they had already submitted it but turns out they had not yet.

Honestly, I suspect title companies are bottlenecking much more than they would like to let on. There seem to be a lot of buffer time they build in for themselves given the sheer volume of work they are moving, especially true of the bigger players.

They project long closing estimates that err on the side of delays, and hope to pick up a little time along the way, allowing for a celebrated "We're about 2 weeks ahead of your scheduled closing! We're awesome."

All that said, it makes sense. They're a business that makes money on volume. It's just rough being on the receiving end of that.

Nick, update us on that ROFR. My wife saw your pending offer post and asked why I didn't get such a good deal.

So yeah. Thanks for that, NICK.

Being in the mortgage industry myself I don't see any company purposefully delaying anything to look better, but I'm not in the customer side of things I work directly with smaller banks who sell us their loans and they expect a very quick turn around time from us. Like you said it's all about volume. I personally think they just aren't staffed enough for the sheer volume they're getting, but also don't want to staff up and then have it slow down on them, something I see regularly in my business.

Haha. Thanks. Will do. I was shocked myself. Tell her there is no way Disney will let that fly. If it does by some miracle, we can keep it our little disboards secret.

I've never checked my e-mail (non-work) as much as I have since my purchase was sent to ROFR on the 22nd. Seeing some people get a response back in as fast as a week got my hopes up lol hopefully this week!

JamboHeart---$108-$16700-140-AKV-Jun-140/16, 140/17, 140/18, 140/19- sent 9/28

Very hopeful - we had purchased BCV in 2003 but sold about 5 years ago because we naively bought 270 points in a resort that none of us really loved. We have really missed being DVC owners - renting has been a great option, but much better to have control. If Disney doesn't take this, we will eventually add on at BLT or the new Riviera so we easily do split stays.

I am checking constantly too! I want to call Fidelity to double check, but don’t want to be a pest lol. Mine went to ROFR on 9/18/17...so taking longer than a week. It has no points to use until 2019 so I am hoping that makes it unattractive to Disney!

Bing Showei---$130-$24055-180-VGF-Mar-1/17, 180/18, 180/19- sent 9/13, passed 9/23

Disney's been pretty consistently turning ROFR around in 10 days plus or minus.

wenge---$109-$5221-44-OKW-Sep--unk/16, 44/17, 44/18, 44/19- sent 10/4

A bit high pp for 2042 OKW, but it will be an add-on to our 90 at Poly.

We are working with Fidelity. We have been happy with our service and price.
Ours went to ROFR on 9/22 for the Polynesian.

Mine was sent 9/18 and still waiting. Thinking it is a bad sign if most are turning around in 10 days.
