Folks, I just booked my December, 2017 River of Lights Dining Package at Tiffins.

Good luck!!

1) Yes, the packages are FINALLY released.
2) Of course, one has to notice the availability is severely limited/reduced from previous months/weeks.
3) Due to the unpopular nature of RoL and the lower than anticipated ticket sales, the number of tix are reduced.

We've generally read that River of Lights shows is - meh.

But we want to go at least one time. This is likely it.

Now I'm waiting to be able to surprise my child with a reappearance of Club Villain. The recently added Sunset Seasons Greetings offers encouragement that Club Villain may happen again.

Thank you @TheRustyScupper and OT, I hope you are feeling well and on the mend!

I would think the packages would increase the attendance and revenue for RoL since they are running the show anyway.

Really appreciate your input, but not sure how #3 makes sense. Isn't there a clear demand for the dining package and if ROL is running anyway, doesn't the package generate additional revenue?

1) The revenue is actually pretty minor.
. . . yes, it is additional revenue
. . . but the trouble to generate the small amount of revenue is not cost-justified
. . . it takes time for the podium people (aka: SEATER) to issue the ticket/pass, plus there are extra CM's needed at the show to collect the pass/ticket
2) A "clear demand" is a subject term in the "World of Disney Profits".
. . . there is not that much of a demand for the paid-tickets
. . . there are usually plenty of seats available for no cost
. . . remember, in most cases, WDW operates on confirmed and demonstrated "stats", not opinion

I've been searching daily for this...second week of December totally booked.

1) To get tickets, you need to check daily.
2) The number of tickets are significantly reduced from the past.
3) And, as you have seen, the limited number of tix do go quickly.

I don't see any availability after 3:30 pm during our November trip. Do they offer dinner reservations and are they sold out or don't they even offer them?

I believe 3:30pm is the latest as the res has to be 3hrs before showtime (6:30).

I did not realize RoL was unpopular - my whole family adores it. Does that mean seats are easier to get now than they were? Still hoping for some RoL packages in January :goodvibes

I just booked a breakfast at Tusker House. It says we have first seating to Rivers of Light. Do we have a schedule of the times of the shows?

I need to vent. Luckily, I did get a 3:00pm ROL ADR for 5, but that is not a favorable time in my opinion. Yet, I keep finding other times for 4 people that I like better, so I am booking them because I figure maybe someone will drop a single spot around those times and I can rebook with the added spot. Longshot, I know. But, I swear, I want to tell my brother he doesn't get to eat because 5 is just a bad ADR number, haha. I don't think Disney planned the ROL ADRs well. I also feel bad that I have additional ADRs that I know I am not going to use (unless something changes), and I know other people want them. So, for those of you in my position, yea, some ADRs will open, trust me.
Sounds like your booking more then 3 diff times , that's not cool

I completely agree! But, ADR is a cut-throat game :crutches:But, I am definitely canceling the ADRs at some point, hopefully sooner than later.
Maybe I'm missing something obvious or just haven't thought enough about it, but how do you book multiple ADRs for the same date/meal? Different MDE accounts?
