I'll save you the research Jes. No, Australians don't have a constitutional right to "Freedom of Speech", however, the High Court has determined that Australians enjoy a constitutionally protected right to "Freedom of Political Expression and Communication" - it's not in the text - it's in the vibe!
(Insider Australian Joke) JCB if your interested the cases are

I work in politics, anyone that thinks a show about Disney in the style of the roundtable could even avoid politics is dreaming; Disney World from the start has been deeply political - I think one of the most interesting corporate lobbying stories is the development of Walt Disney World - everything about the story interests me, from the creation of Reedy Creek, to the use of highway funding to build the roads.
Beyond that, Disney across its many divisions continue to be absolutely impacted by politics - and at the moment it has to be said, every US business that has any reliance on inbound international tourism is being impacted by politics too
One of the things I enjoy about the podcast is that it isnt just a travel show, it covers off not just how wonderful life in the parks are, but also a bit (and not alot) of the working of the company, labor relations at the parks and resorts, funding for tourism initiatives in Orlando.
Beyond that, forcing people to be political eunuchs because you dont share their opinion seems bizzare to me - politics is all about values and personal history, understanding peoples politics helps understand their world view - you might not agree with it, but it helps make other things about them make sense, t makes understanding their perspective easier.
As for Kathy Griffin, maybe it was in bad taste, more likely it was an omage to the painting of
King Louis at the Guillotine, ie. The people take on the powerful - seems a bit odd to me that people who wandered about Washington impling revolution by saying the country needed a Tea Party, would be so upset by an image taken from the revolution that inspired your own.... Just sayin.
