Can you maybe wait for the craziness to die down, then contact Disney guest services and see if they can reinstate your old reservation? Since it wasn't you who cancelled it, maybe they might try to sprinkle some pixie dust on you?

If she does upgrade one room, I would suggest to upgrade the one with the "child" as the upgrade is only just over $4 a day (and you are not going to find a kid's table service meal under that price).

You're right!! I was thinking this was total cost, not upgrade cost. Even if they don't use all the kid's meals, it would be cheaper than paying OOP.

You will be happy with a preferred. I would want preferred if I didn't have two rooms. It's easier to get connecting rooms in standard. We had preferred last year they are close to the main building.

have you found being close to main building noisy? We will have car and not eating at food court. But maybe if we are that close we will get coffee and breakfast a few times. Note to self do it before pop warner gets there!

I'm about 75 pages behind but just wanted to let people know if it hasn't been said (I'm sure it has though) that more rooms have been released today/this afternoon. We are going mid December and only the pirate rooms at CBR were available when FD opened. But a couple of hours ago when I looked just to see they had standard rooms, water view rooms, preferred rooms as well for my dates. I'm so happy that we are getting our dates, standard at CBR, gift cards, and the free dining. It's so amazing! I truly hope everyone else gets even luckier between now and their trip that haven't already. I didn't really believe it, but just keep checking.

Now we just have to decide if we are going to upgrade to regular dining or just pay out of pocket with the construction gift cards supplement. The extra $50 a day to upgrade looks to be the best option value wise but we'll see. I'm finally excited with no hesitations for our trip!

No they arent. Just dates released. I thought of going Oct 3rd but think Ill stick with my 2 dates
I spoke to my Dreams Agent about it on the weekend. I asked if she heard anything. Nothing yet.

When I modified my CBR reservation I was told I had to switch to a pirate room (I had a standard) in order to qualify for free dining. But I see a lot of people on here saying that they got free dining with a standard room. To those of you who got FD for CBR did they make you switch to a pirate room?

NO was able to modify via the website.

Also a big shout to the TAs like the one I use. Mine wasn't able to find what we wanted like I had tried this morning but has been working all afternoon and will the next couple of days to untangle my reservations so I can keep everything I want and for my TA to get the credit too. The relationship I have built has been second to none. I can still control everything I want to for my trip with any help I need. I hope those that are on the fence about using one will really consider in the future. It's nice to have someone in the trenches for me.

I couldn't agree more. This is the first year I have used a TA, but it has been such a God-send and a non-stressful planning so far for me. I wish now I would have used a TA all along.

Yes. I booked my family at CSR Water View 11/16-11/25. I then tried to book our friends who are traveling with us, but preferred to arrive one day later 11/17-11/25. There was nothing available for these dates except a Jr Suite. I then dropped back to 11/16-11/25 and it went right through. So strange. And this was within 3 minutes of the promo drop.

Me too, especially if they had the gift cards? Im not sure if that's the reason I was able to get what I wanted this afternoon there or not by people jumping ship. But I for one am excited to try out CBR, construction and all, for the first time. Getting FD in a standard is just that much sweeter for me
