where is that oh wow.

I know this travel agency and they also told me id have to pay oop for dining, cannot add dining package. Wont work fir us family of five , about ten ADRs booked!
I am with that agency and they can book ddp for some deals. Mine is booked with the ddp. but free dining will still save us enough for the second Christmas party so I have to try just in case they can't get me free dining.

I found the best way to get an accurate price is to use the disney website. Put in all of your package info. without any discounts applied and deduct the difference between the package cost of the reg. dining plan or deluxe if you prefer and the quick service plan. That should be your upgrade charge with free qs dining.
Did the same thing!

Well this is getting exciting. We typically would do a moderate for the FD promotion but now, with these rumours of QS at the mods, are really looking at numbers for other types of resorts as well. We tend to go for 14 nights and that is the plan for this fall. We have stayed at POP in the past and found it fine. We could do POP this time for roughly $5183, if we scored the free QS and then upgraded to the DDP. CSR comes in at about $6200, again assuming free QS and upgrading to DDP. We also looked at a standard room at Animal Kingdom lodge with this package coming in at roughly $7788 (this assumes the free DDP). After adding the Canadian exchange rate, plane tickets for four, and all the other expenses, it gets pretty pricey!! Might be a POP vacation. We don't tend to spend much time at all at the resort, although if we were going to stay at Animal Kingdom lodge we definitely would... Going to be fun regardless :-)

Sounds like a decent idea but I am still confused..... if I add her to the reservation, I think I have to have the "package" for her as well? anyone else have thoughts on this?
I think OP means to make a reservation for you only with deluxe dinin

I think the idea is for you to book yourself only with the deluxe dining plan for extra meals. Since your daughter has her own tickets, you could pay for the meals for both of you with your magic band. And she can stay at her place, or sleep in your room unofficially.

Meal plan prices went up this year. Current "less than" pricing is:
Quick service plan "less than" $51/night adult, $23/night child
Disney dine plan "less than" $72/night adult, $27/night child
Deluxe dine plan "less than" $109/night adult, $41/night child
.

Technically, you are correct, but you're still a little off. Here are the exact numbers for right now (Disney changes these prices on a whim).:
QSDP $48.19/$20.88
DDP $69.35/$24.95
DxDP $106.68/$38.75

I booked a pkg for the f&w festival in September but used the cad ticket offer. Just wondering if fd falls during my dates if I can stack offers?

Nope. FD requires rack rate rooms and full price tickets.

You wouldn't add her until you're already there. I know you used to be able to do this, but I'm not sure it's still an option. My advice is to start a new thread with the question of how to add someone to your room after you're there, but do it over on the Theme Parks Tips board. You'll get more traffic.

My TA said it is hard to get with the discount. Hoping with the changes in FD this year they will allocate mor

we have stayed there twice and LOVE it. We are booked there for Nov, but our dates are excluded. Make sure you fax in a building request. Ours has been honored every time. It is so relaxing there! We love our deluxe stays but POR is the next best thing!
Thanks for the advice! We would love to be located not to far from the quick service.

Have you priced out the CDN tix discount, combining it with a RO and paying for the dining plan? Less expensive for some, depending on size of family/group

off topic..where did you book your first disney cruise? i am interested but have no idea where to book..:sail:

If you go back to forums and scroll down, you'll find a Disney Cruise Line Board where you can ask all kinds of questions. You can also start here: https://disneycruise.disney.go.com/ to begin to see where they go and when.

I can tell you that prices for Disney cruises are the BEST and LOWEST when they first come out. The fall/winter 2018 cruises should be coming out anytime now, so you may want to keep an eye out for them.

Will they let you use your meal credits at ts locations now with only one person on the plan? It use to be you could only use plan credits to buy meals for those on your plan. If you had 2 adults you could only buy 2 ts meals at a time etc. I ran into that using qs credits even in the past.

I would stick with CBR with the gift cards and use them to supplement QSDP
That's what I would do too! We stayed at CBR the last 2 years with FD and my kids love it! When we booked the BB for FD though only pirate rooms were available so we decided to do standard WL. DH is 6'5" so the thought of paying more for far away rooms and double beds doesn't appeal to us! However if I got $75/night and QS I would stay there and use the gc for a few TS restaurants.....you'd really get a lot of food that way!

Wish the Japan Pavilion would sell "Little Green Alien Mochi Dumplings" like they do at Tokyo Disney Sea. These are filled with Vanilla, Strawberry and Chocolate Ice Cream. The Mochi is ground cooked rice, yum! Here's what we got during our trip to TDR 2015:

It came inside this little souvenir alien cup and when packing I found out the alien cup fit perfectly inside the Alien Popcorn Bucket!

Here's what I don't get about those who are booking now hoping to get FD added on. It doesn't get added on. Let's say someone is booked for POR in a Standard View and FD comes out and POR has Garden View and Preferred View only. You can't add dining to your SV reservation. You would have to either change to GV or PV to get FD. And by booking before it's offered, it just takes rooms away that Disney will say well we don't need to offer that category it's filled. I have nothing booked and will purchase my FD offer Monday morning when it drops.

Having a pre-existing reservation doesn't guarantee one FD.

Thanks for suggestion. We did look at this. I figure we would save around $684 with the ticket deal. RO is definitely a wild care, depending on % value, but there are four of us so we tend to do pretty well with the dining plan. We also tend to do a lot of character buffets and some of the more expensive options so we tend to do pretty well with the DDP.
