Joffrey's has kiosks as well. I don't know how much better that will be from the resort dispensers though. All the rooms have mini fridges so you could always get some milk to keep in your room for your coffee from the resort. I have only had creamer once/not a fan. Where are you staying?

The million dollar question!!! Hopefully CBR with FD. 90% we'll stay there even if we have to pay for dining. Maybe they'll have a proper coffee cart to replace the restaurant?!

Forgot about that. I know in dining reviews people rave about the pressed pot coffee.

Yes the pressed pot is very good. It has been a couple of years since we have had breakfast at Kona Cafe. I am very partial to Starbucks and especially like the reserve coffees. I know at the location in downtown Disney (I reject the current name.....lol) you can get these. Not sure about in the parks.

At the Polynesian you can get a decent Kona blend coffee at Kona Island.

Is it made by someone using a coffee machine? Barista?

Edit: I see someone has said it is French press. So it won't be take away. But that will make us sit, slow down and and enjoy the surrounds!

If you don't get free dining and don't have a need for 5 people I strongly suggest staying at Port Orleans French Quarter over CBR.

Yes made by a barista if I recall. And the Poly is a beautiful hotel inside and out.

I prefer Downtown Disney as well. lol When we were last there they were building the parking garage is pretty much all. That is going to be a big change for us.

We're having dinner at Ohana one night. Do they do the French press coffee there too?

Are the reserve coffees like single origin/exotic blend ones?

I prefer downtown too and I hate what they did to it - the market place has a Disney feel but the place the bus drops you is an oversized over branded/priced mall I miss the old dtd

Have you considered if they only offer qs dining for the mods staying at a value? Two rooms at a value are cheaper than one room at a mod.

If I recall correctly from dining reviews, unless it changed Ohana also had it. We ate breakfast once at Ohana, also not a fan. Worst character experience we ever had and very rushed.

Never did breakfast at Ohana. We didn't like dinner so would not even try breakfast. Chef Mickey is no better - mediocre food at best and rushed character visits at the table.

When I first heard about it I figured that side was going to be more like a mall. I also didn't like the idea of only one bus stop but I will reserve judgement until we experience it. We may just end up driving to DT like we have done on past trips.

We have always had good experiences at Chef Mickey's and the food wasn't bad/typical Disney buffet food. We have only done dinner at Chef Mickey's though. Our worst meal ever at Disney was dinner at the Sci Fi. Even my husband, who is not picky at all refuses to go back.

If they got rid of that mall area and kept it Disney magic I wouldn't dislike it and I agree the buses drop you to drive shopping - sorry Disney I love being there but I'm not buying $200 uggs - I donlove the restaurant nighttime area - except I made the mistake of going on a Saturday night last trip - never again flooded with locals and some extremely obnoxious teen groups

Unfortunately POR will work out $1200 more than CBR for the 8 nights even with free dining (we check in Sept 29) because we have the gcs. Even without them it's still $600 more. I've run the numbers every which way and got great TA deals, but CBR with GCs far outweighs anything else.

I like good coffee but not for $600!! We're early out, late in people too, so the construction won't bother us.

Sounds like our last visit during food and wine. Epcot was jam packed with wall to wall people. We also made the mistake of going in on a Sat. night.
