I just want to remind everyone that the only thing I can't comment on that I'm 100% sure of is that a base ticket may be all that's needed for FD. It may be like Black said PH or PH+. I just don't want anyone to get their hopes up.

All I do know is that tickets ARE required to get FD.

Really appreciate all of the information. Thank you so much!

Except wouldn't they also get Magic Bands because they're on your Reservation? So you could potentially not give them their Magic Bands. I wonder if anyone has ever done that? Booked a cabin for 6 Disney Adults and then shared the FD credits with friends/family staying offsite.

I'm sure people do it all the time! If there is a way to game the system, someone will take it. And if you got the DxDP, you could say they are kids, but then the credits could be used for adult meals and you would pay a lower ticket price (the adults using the extra credits would need their own tickets though).

I don't think we'd give Disney a gauge. We're not the normal vacationer. I'm sure Disney has a lot of ways to gauge opinions, but I don't think this board would be one of them. I wish it would though, I'd love to think Disney was listening to me.

I would bet their PR people are aware of the boards and take a look at the trending threads everyday; doubt they read through every posting though. They are probably more vigilant on the popular blogs.

Not necessarily. They put aside a certain number of rooms for each promotion. If there's nothing showing open, then most likely all rooms except those put aside for promotions are booked up.

Think about it. Do you really think they'd hold back rooms to sell at a discount rate when they could be getting full price for them now? That's not how Disney--or any company--thinks! If there's nothing showing now, they won't magically appear at a discounted rate.

Nope, absolutely not guaranteed. I personally know someone this happened to. The thought process is that as long as there are two adults in the party, they can be split. One adult with kids in each room.

As the PP mentioned, the ONLY way it will even come close to guaranteed is if there's only one adult and multiple children. They can't put a bunch of kids in a room by themselves.

Of course, they will try to keep families together. But if they have more requests for connecting rooms than they have actual connecting rooms, someone doesn't get it! And those rooms will go to the single adults first.

Chances of someone not getting a connecting room? Maybe it's slim. But I would never tell someone to count on having the connector.

Whoever this happened too did not book correctly then. If there are too many kids to fit in one room with both adults and you call to book, it will absolutely be guaranteed. Again, I've done this for years for clients. You have to book it correctly and it is booked as a guaranteed connecting room. Must call to book this way and receive only one reservation number together for the two rooms. If you do not book it like this, then it will not be guaranteed.

Too late. Hopes up! Hehe. It's okay we are budgeted either way.

I would really be happy about no park hopper. We won't use it so would just save me $320.

Me too. I am part of a family of 5, and adding the park hopper, which we never purchase as we don't want it, would add $399.40 (including tax) to the cost of our Disney vacation.

so that's why we can't get a trenta caramel macchitto :( We always go for the Iced Coffee or I get a refresher if it's hot outside.

It can be done at any time up until 48 hours before your arrival date.
Actually any Starbucks worth their weight can only charge you for the Venti but you can ask for it in a Trente cup and just fill it with cream. Yum...little secret.

I am hoping ill be able to make a new reservation at 2 am in the morning.
I will be taking a nap after white princess on Sunday Night. I'll set all three alarms for midnight LOL. Just in case it drops at midnight this time.
Now one question. Must I upgrade to DDP from QS when I sign up or can I add the dining upgrade in a few weeks?
Also if you all were going between 8 or 9 nights. would you add the 9 nights with the fd drop and take a 1 night off if you decided later to go for 8 nights?
Omg I loved the white princess. Can't wait for this week's episode!!!

:offtopic:We loved the White Queen. I've been watching a lot of period drama shows. Tudors, White Queen, Reign now White Princess. I enjoy it so much I am taking a history class that has these timelines in it to learn more. LOL. Also love Game of thrones :jester:

But yep I sure do have to fit in a nap. Because even paying for the upgrade. I can save about 1000 and make the 9 night stay happen. (this is the longest we can push it job wise.) But money wise I was going to cut it to 8 nights. With FD it would help.
