I am hoping ill be able to make a new reservation at 2 am in the morning.
I will be taking a nap after white princess on Sunday Night. I'll set all three alarms for midnight LOL. Just in case it drops at midnight this time.
Now one question. Must I upgrade to DDP from QS when I sign up or can I add the dining upgrade in a few weeks?
Also if you all were going between 8 or 9 nights. would you add the 9 nights with the fd drop and take a 1 night off if you decided later to go for 8 nights?

I'm back!!!

Some updates:

I'm not 100% sure about this but a PH or PH+ may NOT be required. Base tickets may be the only requirement, but like I said, I'm not positive about it. I would just keep thinking PH or PH+ may be required.

Disney Visa holders will NOT be able to book FD before the general public.

You can extend your trip into black out dates as long as your arrival date falls on a FD date. For example the month of OCT. is blacked out, but you could arrive on 9/30 and get FD up to 13 days into Oct.

All for now.

I would really be happy about no park hopper. We won't use it so would just save me $320.

I am a little disappointed that Disney Visa holders no longer get to book in advance. That is the main reason that I got the card! Still hoping for FD to fall on our check-in date of Dec. 9. I have the 4 rooms with different reservations to try to add FD to. I was on the phone last October for 1 1/2 hours trying to book reservations.:bored:

Same! I will add though, that last year I was able to get a room through visa, that I couldn't online or through calling Disney, so there was still some perk to it!

BREAKING FREE DINING NEWS!!!

Here's what I have:

FD "will" drop Monday.

POR "is" included until Sept. 30th, but it's excluded for November and December.

Values and Moderates are getting Quick Service.

That's what I have. I will be away from this site for 2-3 hrs, but will be back by early afternoon.

ENJOY!!!

I went back to get the info from Ron for those who missed it. Any One Have Blacks info from last week?

Thank you again, Ron.

Its on page 380.

Thank you everyone for all of your information. I've been following this thread for awhile. I've had discounts before but have never done the free dining. I'm going in the Fall this year so hopefully we will be able to get a free dining package. This will be my husband and I's first trip alone. We've always brought our kids ( even though they are full grown adults now). Looking forward to being up with the rest of you on Sunday into Monday morning waiting for Free dining to drop.

I am in a similar situation with the lower tix prices, but I am at beach club. Are you sure we have to pay the new ticket prices when we modify? If not, it'd be worth a shot to try to modify first, and if that's not working book a new one.
I'm not sure about anything at this point, but I believe we will need to pay "rack" or today's rate for our whole package.

I just want to remind everyone that the only thing I can't comment on that I'm 100% sure of is that a base ticket may be all that's needed for FD. It may be like Black said PH or PH+. I just don't want anyone to get their hopes up.

All I do know is that tickets ARE required to get FD.

I phrased that question badly - my apologies. my question was CAN i change a package into a RO? or do I HAVE to book a RO for that discount? (Sorry guys I don't mean to hijack the thread)

I have no idea. These are two completely different reservation and in different systems. I have a feeling if you modify your package to a room only discount, your tickets will go with you, but didn't you say you had tickets from someone other than Disney? I'm so confused!!!

I can't take any more sad news.
I thought Venti was included.

We've always ordered a Venti Frappuccino (24 ounces) with our snack credit. Did they change it this year?

That article was for the Disney SPRINGS locations only. The Starbucks INSIDE the parks still let you do the big drinks as a snack credit.

How did you do that? Are you saying you actually booked through Visa? You called Visa or booked through a Visa website?:confused3
:cat: (That's me being a curious cat)

But definitely qs for mods?

4 days or 2 day requirement?

Any word on length of stay requirements?

I know you said no early booking for Visa Holders, but how about early dates in August for Visa holders?

If booking a moderate and upgrading from QS to DDP, can that be done later or does it have to be at the time of booking?

It can be done at any time up until 48 hours before your arrival date.

Will you please stop saying that. It is 72 hrs before unless you are DVC and none of these people are going to be DVC if they want free dining!!!!

Not necessarily. They put aside a certain number of rooms for each promotion. If there's nothing showing open, then most likely all rooms except those put aside for promotions are booked up.

They do NOT put aside rooms for promotions. Why would they??? They want as much money as they can get. If there are no rooms available, there are no rooms available.
