Disney's Club Level (CL) Information & Questions

Thank you! This is very helpful!!!
I also have never had personal experience with club level and food allergies. However, at the BC lounge, there was a family that was there much of our trip. Mom and one child seemed to have a gluten or wheat allergy as the CM brought them out a plate of gluten free pastries every morning.

Hello. We are planning out 1st BWI cl (5th WDW trip and 2nd time club level) stay December 9-17, 2017. This thread is great and I'm only on page 1!!
I have a question. I upgraded to club level as a surprise to my family. I'm hoping to keep it a secret until we arrive at the BWI. Can someone tell me what documents, luggage tags, etc the words club level will be on? Thank you
Maybe we will run into you in the lounge. We will be staying at the BWI in a deluxe CL room from Dec. 4 till Dec. 10 when we head over to the dark side. As far as documents go I know the first mailer that you get will say something about staying at the CL in it. It's the mailer with the Incredibles on it and the first inside page has what hotel you are staying at. You will probably also get an e-mail from IPO but not everyone does. I can't tell about the luggage tags because we never use the ME. The BWI CL is our favorite resort and I hope you have a wonderful stay!

Believe DH has decided to try WL CL for next year. For those who have stayed recently what did you like and not like and....did they say how long construction would last for the new villas. Saw on the website where thy are warning about parking issues for guests. TIA

Thank you. I was lucky enough to intercept the incredibles mailer. I also changed the password for my Disney experience so DH can't log on (he never looks up our actual trip only the attractions and restaurants)
It would be so nice to mee a fellow Diser...we will definitely be having breakfast on Sunday morning before heading to the parks

Just wanted to say my husband and I will also be at the BWI CL same time as you both!! It is also our most favorite place to stay. It has been very difficult for me to get my cast discount there for our past few trips, we go about 2 to 3 times a year. So happy to finally be going back. We will be there the 6th to the 13th to celebrate my 64th birthday!!!

This will be my first stay at BWI ... we stayed at the BC CL last trip. I did enjoy the resort however my husband and i don't plan a trip to WDW to relax. We like the lively atmosphere the the boardwalk has. We even cancelled a dinner reservation and spent the evening on the boardwalk having pizza and margaritas...

What are your dates?

You can take food and beverages back to your room. Most CL's even have a few trays they will provide to help you carry items.
Last trip I wanted to take a couple glasses of wine, sodas, and a few desserts back to my room. The CM filled a tray with a 3/4 bottle of wine, 2 empty glasses (so I didn't spill) 4 sodas, and I added the desserts. We had been there for a few days already and the CM knew what kid of wine I liked and what kind of wine and beer DH liked.
I was told just to leave the tray in my room for housekeeping. I always feel so bad u can't tip CL CMs...housekeeping always gets nice tips, though

We are there the 6th to the 13th. We will be at the Beach Club CL in January with my son and his family. You will enjoy the BW. We are now at the point where we enjoy a relaxing vacation there. We love the Boardwalk atmosphere and sitting around taking in the sights and sounds of it all. When we travel with our children and grandchildren it is a totally different trip!

There is nothing that says club level on the luggage tags. You should be fine. Enjoy the BWI CL it is our favorite CL for the CMs. Lorenzo and Anita are truly our favorites. Lorenzo made into our July 2015 Disney video because he loves to sing and dance. There are many other nice CMs there too but those two are truly unique. Come back and let us know what you think.

I'm so excited!!! Thank you very much. I cannot say anything bad about the BC cms...other than some went above and beyond and some were so so....I'm remembering the 2 names you mentioned just in case we come across them. I like remembering cast members mentioned and if I happen to find them I always let them know they are a hit ( like TJ from ToT and the other woman...I can't remember her name... from the beach club that has been there for many many years

I would love to meet some fellow diser's! We will be leaving on Sat. the 10th at about 5:30 pm to head to Universal, but I hope we get a chance to meet. I am really bad when it comes to computers but please contact me when you are at the hotel and have a few minutes. I know Blue Sky will also be at the BWI in this time frame as well.

I just remembered that we also received a statement in the mail from Disney showing the balance that we owed on our room only reservation. This came in a blue Disney envelope and it of course also listed the hotel that we were staying at. I don't remember receiving this before.

I love meeting fellow Disers. I have a remained friends with some I have met years ago! Our alone trips are very relaxed and my husband can be seen talking to Lorenzo everyday! We love just relaxing in the lounge. The cast there have become our second family, Pete, JJ, Jackie, Linda and others are so welcoming and wonderful to deal with. We are so looking forward to being there. Just ask one of them to point me out and come say hi!!

Thanks for your response! - yes, we definitely will NOT do am EMH every day and we're definitely doing CL for the convenience, but I know that my sister will want to do one or two. While she hasn't been in 17 years, I have a few times with my family. Generally we've picked and chosen, doing a few and avoiding others and using park hoppers, and that strategy has worked for us. We've been able to get a ton done those first couple of hours...

But given that we're both park hopping early birds with no kids to worry about, I know we'll do at least one and that it's possible it could be at 7am, before the lounge opens so I wanted to figure things out. Then we can hop somewhere else in the afternoon or evening. It's a great idea to get some milk and they probably have those individual cereal boxes...

I've never traveled Easter week (April but not Easter, as it only coincides with our school break about every 4 years or so), so I looked back at park hours the last two Easters - in 2015, MK had EMH at 7am almost every day, but in 2016, I don't think they had any - so who knows!? I do know that last year for our April trip, park hours and some EMH parks changed about 2-3 weeks before our trip, so it did impact some our plans. We had to decided whether to cancel tough to get FPs and ADRs to avoid EMH, or just roll with it and adapt, so I just want to be ready to be flexible for any curve balls!

Now our other sister has been to Disney several times for conferences has proclaimed herself "over" Disney but doesn't want to miss a sister trip! Her plan is to relax in the lounge, do some work stuff, relax at the pool and catch up with us sometime around lunch, lol! :beach:

Beach Club CL has been a dream of the early bird sister, but I think it will be a perfect fit for our different style and needs! I can't wait! Thanks again! pooh:
You are welcome.

My sister did that a few times too, hung out during the day on her laptop then at night went out to parks with us. Any family time is better than none.

We tried BC cl last fall and it was wonderful. Lots of space and plenty offerings.

I haven't stayed recently but I have booked for Jan 2017, here's why.

I did stay there cl in 2015 so I am familiar with the 7th floor. With construction only the north wing is open. There are only 23 rooms 11 facing courtyard and 12 facing mk/cr. (I think those numbers or close) So you get a nice view of courtyard or glimpse of fireworks. The temp lounge or new lounge both are on the north wing so distance wise this is a nice temporary advantage.

The only downsides I see are:

the beach is closed, we enjoy disney beaches to sit and enjoy the surroundings

parking if you drive (we don't)

if not cl construction noise could have an impact

I boat over often for a love the resort. The price we got was great compared to other resorts. Its only me and dd so we don't mind the smaller rooms. I have seen pix of the temp lounge and I actually like it. If the new lounge gets done I am sure that will be amazing too!

Lastly, I stayed at gf and poly during construction and a big plus is that food, pools and transportation are less crowded due to temporary rooms closings/ less guests. This really does make for a nice relaxing trip!!!

Of course if that doesn't sway you nightly cobbler might? Can't wait!

Going to stay YC CL for the first time in April! The YC will be undergoing refurb soon, does anyone know (or can guess) yet where they will start the refurbs? I'm curious if we have a chance of getting a room that will have been refurbed already, or how much the refurb would impact access to the lounge... We stayed at Boardwalk during refurb so know what to expect, but we weren't CL that trip.

Also, has anyone stayed at YC CL after the lounge was redone and remember what the "hot" breakfast offering was?

Your question has been answered, but I wanted to say I hope you have a great time! We've never stayed BWI CL, but it's on my list as I've read so many great things about it. Have a great trip :wizard:.

Is 5% difference worth my time to call:confused::confused::confused: Sometimes I get so nervous they are going to mess up my reservation if I do...

I'd do the math and see how much more you'd save. If it's a decent amount, it might be worth a call ;).

We haven't stayed recently, but WL CL is one of our favorites. I hope you are able to give it a try :wizard:.

Disneytam and kerrycm we definitely should plan to meet. I've tried before but things get so busy, especially later in the day. Maybe breakfast in the lounge if everyone will be there on Sunday the 10th?

I did the math....it is a savings of $280 dollars however, I found out they don't have any of our room category left for that time so I'm pretending it never came in the mail...:thumbsup2 I just paid off the trip so it's done anyway in my mind.....:rotfl2::rotfl2:
