At first I thought of Canadian Buffoon's Bodacious Vacation, but wasn't sure how much of a Bill and Ted fan you were.

Man, it's been years since I've seen that!...
in a theatre, too!
But I remember really enjoying it.

So instead I'll go with Canadian Buffoon's Mad Dash Vacation.

Not bad. Probably prophetic.

True story: A couple years ago Pillsbury (or some other company) came out with Cinnamon Bun cake mix and icing. It was a limited edition flavor and we liked it so much we bought out the store, like 10 boxes of mix and the equivalent in frosting. Earlier this year I went into the pantry looking for something. There was only one can of frosting.

I hid it.

So, I stay away for a while and come back to find a rather shocking amount of amok has been running about in here and making quite a spectacle of the place! But then there was talk of cake and icing. That's makes everything better.

I came to remind myself what the date of your upcoming departure was, but I see there's still a few days yet. Then I noticed mention of a contest, so how could I resist? So, for your consideration:

Canadian Buffoon Gets His Groove Back (besides being a delightful play on the film "How Stella Got Her Groove Back", we all know how much you are in need of a re-charge from work. So this one's the winner, right? Aww, come on, you know you like it...)

Now I've wanted to go to DL since I was a wee lass. Unfortunately no one would take me. Now that I'm paying for myself, it's so much more expensive than WDW!!!

The fondant? Well....
I still don't know what she did,
but we wound up tossing the lot
and starting from scratch.
And when I say "we", I mean "I".

I just skip fondant all together. Why bother when buttercream is delicious?

Next, she was going to make some
buttercream icing for decorating.

....oh. Still, I decorate the whole cake then! Which generally just involves me dumping everything I made and then slightly smoothing it down so everything is covered.

She had made the icing and piped it
onto the cake....
and it melted.
Icing was dripping and running down the
sides of the cake, forming an icky, sticky
puddle at the bottom.

Well then. See above post. I think maybe twice I've gotten ambitious and tried to pipe things....but most of the time I know it's not going to last more than a day or two so why bother? My future father-in-law LOVES my cakes. Even the ones I mess up on.

So our work cycle looks like this.
Two evening shifts, two day shifts, one midnight shift.
And then the three days off.
Evening shift is from 2:45pm - 11:19pm*
Day shift is 6:45am - 3:19pm*
Midnight, 10:45pm - 7:19am*

Ew. On so many levels. I hated having to work a Saturday at my old job because it required six days straight. And they were at least normal hours.

What do you think it should be called?
