I agree 100%. As awesome as I think the land is going to be there's no way that it should've cost nearly that much. I mean Shanghai cost what 4-5 billion? And that was building a whole resort from scratch. I get construction costs are different here from China but still.
I wonder who's at fault: Imagineering for not being able to ballpark a cost anymore, or the suits for not knowing how to build things and a reasonable pace/cost.

I hope they make this good I just don't see the up and down nature of the ride really fitting the story well.
Also, I'm starting to feel sorry for Rohde's ear at this point. I know it's not painful but it looks like it is.
I agree I think an attraction based on Rohde's ear might actually be a better idea.
I really wonder how Joe Rohde feels about this. He's been pushed to do this for sure but he can't do much about that. I'd love to hear his honest take.
Most definitely. Joe hates being forced to do things he'd much rather be given his own way to do something. In the video he doesn't really look to enthused there is a part where he rolls his eyes and it seems forced in parts.

I hope so. I'm actually kind of hopeful to see what happens with the Epcot project. Joe would be involved in that one too.I'm sure they got him to do this by promising to green light a project down the line for him.
I'm sure that's because he was reading from a script. In the video he doesn't really look too enthused there is a part where he rolls his eyes and it seems forced in parts.
