For Platinum cruisers: how many times have you failed to dock at Castaway Cay?

We've made it every time we were supposed to. BUT this January, they didn't need to bother docking at CC - the weather was "horrible". We didn't leave the ship, I did step outside a few times and the wind and rain was COLD. I think that most people that got off of the ship were back by noon.

And we didn't leave the island until the scheduled time. I guess Disney needed to charge everyone for the use of the cabanas, and the on shore spa treatments :scratchin

Only 3 of my cruises have gone to CC and we were able to dock all three times (April, April, July). Although the very first time (April) we almost didn't make it. It took 3 tries and they almost gave up. It was so windy though that all excursions were cancelled. It wasn't the best day for sure and it started pouring rain just as we were leaving. Luckily that was the first CC stop on a B2B and when we came back 3 days later, the weather was perfect :)

In 17 cruises we have had 18 scheduled stops at CC and we have only missed it once. This was February of 2015. Twice we had to switch our sea day with the scheduled CC day but we did make it. Those were in August 2011 (the island was being cleaned up from Hurricane Irene) and December 2010.

Was that the 1/15/16 cruise on the Dream? We were on that one and stayed on the island because we had rented one of those cabanas on SB. Spent a fair amount of time inside the cabana with the doors closed. On that cruise the Captain got to CC around midnight because they were worried that they would not be able to dock in the morning.

Of my 10 cruises there were two that were suppose to dock at CC that were unable due to weather. First time was WBPC in January 2011. The other time we could not dock was also in January in 2015.

16 Cruises, missed it 2x.
First cruise in 1999 we were told at Port Canaveral that we would be going to Key West instead of CC because the pier had hurricane damage.
In 2011 we had two separate medical emergencies (with one being a diversion to Grand Turk) so we didn't have time to get to CC

9 cruises and have missed CC 1 time. It was early November...due to wind. Sadly it was my kids and grandkids first Disney cruise so was a major disappointment for them. It was only a 3 night cruise too. We have gotten in late on at least 2 occassions after circling the island and trying again. We have sailed the months of January, February, March, May, September, October, November.

14 cruises and made CC on all of them. On one of those cruises they did swap with a sea day.

12 cruises, ten with CC in the itinerary. Docked each time although a couple hours late this February due to wind and I think currents.

Out of 10 cruises, with 9 visits to CC, we never missed one -- even with an approaching hurricane in 2004, they sailed to CC first and then got out of the area (we missed Key West).
