Great thread - we too are waiting for a code for late February. We are hoping to stay at Beach Club club level, but need that code! Also would LOVE for the Canadian dollar to appreciate a little bit! We'll keep our eyes open for October... thanks!

Anyone remember what the discount was for deluxes with the spd discount last year? I would love to do another spilt stay and we currently have a booking at pofq but I worry it won't be included with the discounts this year. CanadIan dollar is a bit of a blow to the budget this year!!!

So add me to the "crowd" heading down in Feb. I decided to be wild and reckless; as part of my 20th anniversary yesterday, proposed to my wife a short trip to WDW after xmas... sans children. To my extreme shock, she agreed, and didn't ask how I was planning to pay for it (Thank you hidden Disney Savings Account!). We are the type of family due to cost and distance that can only afford come to WDW every 3 years. Our last trip was spetember 14, and our next family trip is penciled in for November 17... so this short trip in the middle is really exciting.

We are planning for to stay at POP 2/1 ish. The exact dates are going to be narrowed down by whatever offer comes out. If it is SPD like last year, then it will require a 5 night stay, the 55% discount on the meal plan would make it cheaper to stay that extra day vs the 4 nights we are planning for without the discount.... I plan on ignoring the room only discount, if there is one, and just roll the savings into staying an extra day.

This uncertainty is holding us from making our flight reservations.... which is scaring me a bit, since we always drive.

Pretty sure DH and I will be headed down end of February into March. Likely four nights and hoping for a discount so we can do BC. Otherwise we'll select one of the mods.

We just went in the summer and my daughter is hooked. She is like a drug addict! "Daddy, WE HAVE TO GO BACK TO DISNEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" LOL Anyway, was looking at doing first week of february as it is the slowest and seems to be cheapest time to go. But it is still alot since we are in canada and the exchange is brutal. Trying to make 5 nights at POP with dining plan and MM work. Free dining would be great on that but I think free dining is more of a fall thing I think. What are the chances of free dining in february?

Yes you can upgrade, unfortunately they don't discount the plan any further though.

Add us to the Watch! We are booked for Feb 13th - 20th at POR in Royal Guest...its our favorite! I know, it will be high crowds since Princess Marathon weekend and Presidents Day, but skipping the usual Christmas trip this year and going on our February School Break...we've never minded the Christmas crowds which are the worst, so figure a slightly lowe,r but still high volume would be just fine. DH, DD and myself are crossing fingers for a FD or PSD offer!!! History shows it should be announced anywhere from end of current special, which would be 9/18 or first part of October. We can barely contain our excitement til we are there again!!!!

Count me in! Staying at POP Feb 5-9/2016. I'm unsure if we'll be eligible since it's a short stay and a value resort. Keeping my fingers crossed, though! I'm willing to change dates and resorts to make discount requirements. I've never done that though so not sure of the process or if I'll be able to do it that way. Hopefully following this thread will get me prepared!

October looked like the usual from Mousesavers, but with what a fiasco free dining was, I want to make sure that I watch closely. I have a Disney Visa and an annual pass, so I'm hoping to get a little jump on the crowd.

I have the Visa too...do you get an alert through Visa? I don't but maybe i have to actually go on the website to look for it?

I'm curious as well. I have a Disney Visa but we just got it last month. How does the jump on discounts work and where would I find out about them? Any information is appreciated!

My TA has kept on top of it, I like a bunch of places on FB or just regularly watching the DIS when it gets to be time...Visa did e-mail me for the summer one this June, but my TA had already called into Disney. I had seen it on the DIS first, I think. I seem to get the notification e-mails from Visa later in the day (if at all)
