There is a bus stop outside of Old Port Royale (the food court) and from there you can catch the park buses as well as the internal bus (although in my 5 yearly visits to CBR, I've only seen a bus marked Internal maybe 3 times)

Great!! We plan on eating at the parks but I want to make use of the refillable mug every morning! I hope to get a king bed to... Fingers crossed!! :genie:

Hi all, we have just returned from a fabulous 8 night stay at WL. While there we have booked our Bounce Back offer to return for a second time to CBR next August. We really enjoyed our stay there last summer, and with the difference in cost for next year's bounce back ($1500 to stay at WL again) we couldn't be more excited to return to our favourite moderate resort.

I guess we should have just booked standard but we actually paid for a King Room. I'm just hoping for a decent view!

Ouch, that is a significant difference in price. :( I was hoping to book WL for our next trip although we're probably heading to CA in 2016 and may have to wait for WDW another year. Maybe we could squeeze in a quicky WDW for 2016 fall or winter, even.

Hi all. Just reporting in quickly. Just back from a 14 night stay at CBR! We had a fantastic trip, and CBR lived up to our expectations once again. It is our favorite moderate resort, and overall, 2nd only to the Wilderness Lodge which is our first choice if financially feasible for a trip. (14 nights was just a BIT more than we were willing to spend this year for the WL, so CBR did very nicely).

We were in Barbados, not our first choice for distance, but due to the length of stay, there was nothing else available at the time without moving mid trip. Honestly, didn't mind it at all. We were in building 16, so maybe a 5-10 minute walk for coffee every morning. Not bad, and a great way to start the day.

Quick run down and impressions since we have not stayed here for a few years.
- We had a room with a trundle bed. VERY nice decor, well maintained, and still looked and smelled "new". The kids fought every night over who was sleeping on the trundle though, and wound up switching each night, LOL. (13 year old girl and 7 year old boy).
- Mousekeeping. Not bad, but very average. Had to ask for extra towels, never saw a towel animal, and well, just nothing special. Had to ask for additional soap and shampoo a few times too.
- Location to stuff - as I mentioned earlier, 5-10 minute walk to OPR. 5 minutes to bus stop, very convenient to quiet pool.
- Bus service - average at best. Perhaps we are just unlucky, but I swear, every time we rode the bus, we drive a lot too, we would see at least two buses to every park except the one we were going too. The only park we wound up busing it too after the first few rides was MK. Driving was a lot more convenient both coming and going. We found that as usually, return trips were done standing 100% of the time due to the buses being so full.
- Food court - good. Favorite among the mods.
- Shutters - first time we ever ate there. We were pleasantly surprised. The food and service were excellent.

Overall, while some things above sound negative, it was a great stay. We will stay at CBR again for our next trip, whenever that may be. That's the saddest part perhaps. This is the first time in 11 visits we did not book a bounce back before leaving. :( The dates no longer work for us due to school. Start date for free dining bounce back was August 26th of 2016 which is the weekend before school starts.

Here is hoping for some decent room discounts, or free dining some other times during 2016. If nothing appears, we will probably go somewhere else in 2016 for the first time in 9 years, and 11 visits. Who knows, maybe absence will make the heart grow fonder!

Take care all, and enjoy your trips!

Thank you for the great review! It is nice to hear the positives and negatives.

Fist time at CBR in 41 days!! We are super excited but honestly im a bit concerned with the size of the resort. We booked pirate rooms which i just found out are being refurbed right now. Any idea when this will be finished?! Also, coming back from MK after MNSSHP how annoying would you guesstimate the walk to be with a 3 and 6 yr old? Should we just take a cab and have it drop us off right by our room instead of waiting for the internal bus??

I'm not sure when the rooms will be done but, I would not worry about it. They are real good about making sure you don't hear anything while you are there. You have no need to wait for the internal bus to get back to your rooms. The busses stop at every single stop. It will drop you off at the pirate rooms. :) Have a great time!

Just got back last night from a 4night/5day stay at CBR. Will be typing up my full review later tonight and will post it here.

Highlights:

We were in Jamaica 46. The internal little vans they had shuttling came often and we never had an issue. Walk wasn't too bad either. Room was clean upon checkin and always cleaned when we got back from the parks. Didn't have any issues and it was a smooth stay. Would definitely stay there again!!!!

Love hearing this reviews - thanks for sharing! This will be our 3rd visit to CBR and we love it. Been hearing a lot of negatives lately and we requested Jamaica this trip mainly to try a new area of the resort. We get there in three days - can't wait!

In 45 days we'll be heading down for a Disney weekend. We'll fly in on Friday have dinner at Raglan Road, do MK on Saturday and fly home on Sunday.

This will be our first time a CBR and DH's only request was pirate room. Done and done.

Call me crazy but last min trips are what memories are made of ;-)

So now with the bridge closure - please tell me the top two building choices to make to have the most ideal location. Thanks!

Hey guys! Have a quick question. So after gather up all the baby supplies that I will need while we are there for 8 days, I'm thinking the best thing to do is ship it all ahead of time (water, diapers, baby food). With that said. I should send everything UPS to the 900 Cayman Way address right? I've shipped to Disney resorts before but its been awhile. If I send the package out Monday 9/14 it should be there by the 19th when we check in right? Appreciate any feedback that you can provide.
