Many over the years. People Mover was the most interesting evac.
Many years ago, like before FP, we were evaded from POTC. The CMs had to push the boats to a spot where we could get off on dry land. I think we were stuck for about t 30 min. We walked right through the scenery and out a door backstage. The CM stepped on the crab. That's all I really remember as I was a kid.
Twice. My DH and I experienced a first at WDW -- we got evacuated from a ride. We were on Splash Mountain when a traffic jam became longer and longer. Finally the music and animatronics turned off and we were told a CM would be out to assist us. They had to manually open the lap bars and we all went out back stage where we got a FP. No clue what the issue was.
Never, but last trip i was on the PeopleMover and the lights were on SM which was cool! Got to take some cool pix and a video.
Would love to ride this /w lights on but I know it wouldn't be as exciting since you can brace for each turn
I think EE would be terrifying to have to evac. Especially the long incline up the mountain with those tiny stairs!
Haven't been evacuated but want to say that 7DMT is not supposed to be only for little kids as some on the boards say. Although it's a "family coaster", it's supposed to be of interest to everyone, as opposed to The Barnstormer which really is supposed to be just for kidsI had an anytime/any ride MK Fastpass I got to use for an extra ride on 7DMT!!! Yeah, yeah, it's lame and stupid and for little kiddies, but who cares, I love it! (Although yes, it could be longer, and I won't wait in the huge standby lines.) I was so excited I got to go again with FP!
We were evacuated off of EE about 2 years ago. As you go up to where the track is "broken", just before you go backwards, the ride stopped. About 5 or 6 minutes went by and some CMs came to get us off the ride. They asked us to put our phones and cameras away and we walked a little ways through the ride, then to a stairwell, where we trekked down quite a few stories. Definitely an interesting experience.
