I responded to this on the other thread - but I'll respond here too - we did this on our most recent trip and it was amazing! We ordered it for "1" person and there was more than enough for me and DH - it is now a must-do for every Poly trip from now on!! Highly recommend! DD4 was just playing in the room and eating her little yogurt and fruit (she is a light eater that you mention) - we sat on our patio eating plate after plate after plate! Loved it!

We are 100% looking forward to doing this on our trip in October... we booked TPV and I cannot wait to chill out + chow down while looking across at the castle. =) @Ferrentinos, thanks for your response - you're not the first person we've heard say that "1" serving is more than enough so we're definitely going that route.

I responde on the other thread too, but will respond here as well as there may be people not on both threads that would find it interesting. For four females, one Mom and three older teen girls, should I go with two portions or three? We would be doing this while we're getting ready for MNSSHP on arrival day. The IPO CM told me that I could order as early as 11AM for delivery later in the day, it takes around 45 minutes for it to get the room. Wonder if you can specifically ask for things like heavy on the salad light on the stir fry veggies........?

How's Captain Cook's for breakfast? My DS is 10 and sometimes eats kids portions, but sometimes he needs a bit more food. How are the kids eggs and Mickey waffle portions compared to the adult size? Better to get the kid one with an extra side or get the adult? TIA!

I'm thinking the kids meals are not enough for him. DGD7 did ok with them but she ate it all

I know I should know this but what in the world does IPO mean? We leave in 13 days for our first time at the Poly! We are passholders and go a few times a year but usually stay at WL. Been waiting for the construction to die down some before we did a Poly trip. So Excited!

IPO stands for Itinerary Planning Office (sometimes the Polynesian's IPO stands for Island Planning Office), and it's the Club Level pre-trip planning department.

I hope you love the Polynesian, there's no other resort like it! We've stayed at the WL and we loved our stay there, as well. :)

Itinerary Planning Office. If you are staying Club Level the IPO CMs can help you make ADRs and other reservations.

Thank you, that's good to know. We'll get the adult size.

. At WL, we all got kids breakfasts. It was two mini Mickey waffles with a fruit topping, a slice of bacon, and a milk.

Ok here are my first impressions of day 1 and 2. We were placed in Raratonga second floor. (Which was a bummer) but we were given connecting rooms so we didn't ask to be moved. Honestly wanted Raratonga but I really wanted a balcony. The room itself was great, clean and ready when we arrived. As for convenience love Raratonga! We even have a room facing the construction, we haven't heard any major noise. Yes it's an eye sore but it doesn't bother me as much as I thought it would. Honestly we don't have to go near the quiet pool for abythibg, we haven't even walked near it to access anything, so it's no bother.

So far all the CM we have encountered at the resort have been very friendly and helpful.

Today was the first day we used the pool. I really like it. My son (5) loved the kids area. My niece (13) & daughter (9) loved the slide. I think we encountered a few pool hoppers not really sure there was one family with small children swimming in their underwears. Honestly a first for me. We didn't see them 4 very long to be honestly. But they were there. If your staying here then wouldn't u have bathing suits???? Lifeguards were not checking ppl at the gates for bands but they were very friendly. I was standing to close to the water Play area with a drink watching my son. The life guard asked me to step back just a little. I said sorry my feet were very hot on the hot concrete. He said no worries and splashed water on the ground where I was standing further back, then cupped more water in his hands and wet it some more. He said we aim to please the parents that keep an extra eye with us. I thought it was very nice. He didn't have to do that.

We haven't eaten at the table services here yet we have plans for later in our stay. We ate at Grand Floridan Cafe it was ok this time around, it was better on our first trip.

Post more later off to watch the fireworks!!!

Thanks for your review! 4 days till we arrive. Fingers crossed we get a balcony. Just curious, did you request Raratonga and a balcony? I hope they look at our requests, we'll be there 2 weeks so having a balcony is super important. We requested Fiji.
Yes, that is odd about children swimming in underpants!

No we request samno(sp?) Balcony. But our travel agent added connecting rooms. So maybe they went with that request. The room is so close to everything. I really can't complain. I was really worried that a view of the construction would ruin the feel of the resort. But honestly it doesn't at all. I can't say this is my favorite resort yet over the YC. But it's running a r pretty close right now.

Thanks for taking the time to send us a quick review! Love the info. Keep posting if you have time :) Ill be there in a few weeks. I requested Rarotonga. I stayed there the last time and loved it. It took me days to even realize there was a pool beyond the trees in front of my balcony, so I didnt think the construction would be a problem for me, as I know I would barely see it, and we are only in the room during the day long enough to change clothes, then off to another venue :)

I personally like YC/BC, but I get outvoted by family members every time. They like running the the Main St Bakery late night to grab milk and cookies :)

Swimming in unders is odd but it's very possible they had just arrived on the ME and didn't plan well for a delay in getting their luggage

We had Raratonga last week and just loved the location. Can't imagine one better

I have to say, when looking at the map I thought the resort was much larger. Tonight we walked around all the long houses and honestly I am really surprised at how close the long houses are to one another. I compared the poly to POR at home. Now that we are here i am pleasantly surprised. It seems though the DVC buildings are further way from GCH and main pool. Loved loved watching the fireworks from the beach tonight! If u want to be closer to everything the resort rooms are much closer than any of the dvc buildings in my opinion.

Oh.....the monorail has had some issues the passed 2 days. Yesterday the speaker system repeated please stand away from the doors repeatedly in Spanish . They had to shut the monorail off and start again. Last night we sat for 15 mins at MK while they took a broken monorail off the track. This morning we had a ADR @ chef Mickey at 8:40 we tried the monorail first at 8:15 closed 4 repairs. We took a bus just for the resort loop we were there in 15 mins tops if not sooner.

Just the day in the life of the monorail in my experience. On a good day it has stoppages, a bad day is worse than what you found. I've never been a huge fan of it. I mean, for very old tech it isn't bad but it is also not so reliable. I don't count it as an asset like others
