Disney's YACHT & BEACH CLUB RESORTS Information & Questions

Has anyone created or found a property map for the beach club with the view categories labeled now that there is a garden/woods view?

I wish!!!

I have never seen such a map, although the folks around here know I have offered my services (MANY TIMES) to visit all the rooms and share detailed info about the bedding, views, condition, etc.

I called yesterday to put in a request of "lagoon side of the building" because we really don't want to be on the back side facing the villas. The CM on the phone said, " but you have a garden view booked so you won't be on the lagoon side." I tried to explain that I'd seen pictures of garden view rooms that were on that side of the building, but weren't direct water views, so she put in the request for me, but then I started to second guess that maybe I was wrong.

You are NOT wrong.

"Lakeside (back entrance) Courtyard View", Volleyball Courtyard and Lakeside Courtyard facing east or west are all garden view rooms on that side of building.

:thumbsup2

Maybe we will swing by and go to Beaches and Cream for a No Way Jose or HH for a Sunken Treasure

And this is the first time doing FP+. Got things no problem.

Hi everyone! I feel like the wandering child, but things have finally calmed down!
So what's new?
Tell me EVERYTHING!

In our world, we haven't done much Dis-ing and overthinking this trip because for the first time ever.....Tom and I are going completely alone! We've always gone with family and friends and treasured moments alone....well, on this trip, we're getting 10 days to ourselves and we can't wait! It certainly makes the planning easier, and slightly more boring! We only have to please ourselves, and we're pretty synched-up on where we like to stay and eat. We make our FP+ selections on Monday, and that may be more of a fight, because Tom is more into thrill rides, and me, growing old gracefully (at 36) is much more into the slower placed, more vintage-y rides. We'll see how that goes!

Anyway, I'm BACK.....only 2 more weeks of school, and then a summer of planning!
Wheeee!!!

2 more full weeks of school? I'm done on the 23rd. Wife is done on the 24th

Scott yay! 2 more weeks for me too! Let the summer begin :beach: We will be at Poly in August, arriving 22nd. Sounds like we may miss you?
My daughter & I Have the same problem, I like the thrill rides and she likes the tame ones. Finally got her to go on Slpash Mtn last year thanks to my friends persuasive powers, lol!

I had a great GV room in Volleyball Courtyard. Straight ahead looked at opposite wing of BC, but looking to left great view of lagoon and Boardwalk! And could see Illuminations at night! Too bad I didn't find out till our last night when we were in room packing, lol!!

We are excited about our first stay at BC in August.
Tomorrow is our check-in days, any tips on room requests? We are hoping to get a day bed as ds and dd are with us, and a full balcony, is this asking for too much or even possible (I know it is completely hit/miss sometimes just curious)?
Thank you!

Let us know your dates if you would like to be added to the Be Our Guest list we keep on Page 1.

:woohoo:

It is not asking too much, but make sure it is clear which request is your priority.

"Daybed, please- children of opposite gender. Full balcony if possible" Or the other way if the full balcony is more important.

:goodvibes:

Hi Scott!

Don't be jealous but school ended yesterday for us!!!!
No school, no work - finally time to DIS!

Our FP+ day is June 21.

Unfortunately our only news is not happy news. Ds has a concussion after taking a line drive to his head! Slowly recuperating.

Not sure if our dates overlap or not this year. We are at BC August 20 to August 31. Happy planning!

Yeah, 9 snow days will do this to ya. Kids finish on the 29th, we teachers on the 30th. As Charlie Brown would say, "Sheesh."

By the 22nd, we will be at BC and starting to wind down. We wing home on the 24th...just in time for me to start school on the 25th!

I AM jealous!
I'm sorry to hear about the concussion. I've taught for 15 years and have never had a concussion happen on my watch. This year....3 so far. I think with all that time cooped up Over the winter has caused them to play extra hard whenever we have recess!

And it does look like we'll overlap a bit! We are at CR from 8/14-19 and BC from 8/19-24. Excellent!

I need a vacation!

:)

and this silly weather in Chicago - I almost feel like the heat will kick on (going down to the 50's at night! It is June isn't it?)

Sunken Treasure I'm coming!

Thank you!! I was going to request Volleyball Courtyard, but didn't want to limit ourselves too much, so I just said lagoon/lake side of the building. Hopefully that'll do it!!

We are the same way. My husband lucks out a lot because he uses my MB and rides things twice or can double up on Tier I rides. I usually shop or people watch while he's riding, and sometimes I sneak in a snack.

Sunken Treasure I'm coming!

My husband is heading to Chicago this week for a golf trip. That's going to feel like heaven after the high 90's and high humidity we're having here in SC!

Thank you so much!! :flower3:

We are at BC for Aug 13-14 and BCV from the 14-22.

Thank you for the tips on the room request, I will definitely shoot for the daybed first, the balcony would be an added bonus!

I think people would pay for that map.
The lady at our check-in had a color coded map that had the categories laying out right beside her-I was trying to (discreetly) look at it as she gave us our room number (upgrade to water view). I had my phone out, camera on, but she never turned away long enough to snap a picture! Was too much a chicken to just blatantly lean over more for a good pic LOL!

Just got home this am after a week off site (did Universal too) and one last Star Wars day yesterday. Course first thing I did when I turned computer on was look up recipe for Sunken Treasure. Off to do some shopping now as no food in house (even the chickens are out of food).

I have room view pics of our room if you want/need them-second floor, full balcony, facing quiet pool with glimpses of the lagoon. Gorgeous place to relax each morning with my coffee.

My 60 days is in just few days and I can make my FP reservations. I wasn't planning to try for any hard ones, other than the mine train ride, but now I'm debating going to the MK our first night and seeing a few princesses and then using a FP for wishes.

We'll be at the BC from August 19th to the 23rd. We have a reservation at Flying Fish for the evening of the 20th. Anyone who's there want to join in? The toddler will be at the kids club and Amara is weirdly mature for her age. I know lots of folks probably say that, but I know some of our fellow YC/BC folks can vouch for her.

Dh and I are staying 5 night at BC Oct 21-26th. This will be our third trip, but first without the kids and first at BC(actually at any deluxe). We are planning 4 days of Epcot/F&W, one day at HS and one day at MK...Beach club seemed like the perfect place in terms of location. Plus I want to check out the pool as our next family vacation will be during the late spring/summer and I want the kids to have an amazing pool!
