2015 FREE DINING THREAD _ All Questions HERE!!

I believe when I booked online it said there was a 3 night minimum. I was too concerned about getting the reservation completed to be sure but vaguely remember that disclaimer pop up when I was choosing my dates.

My TA wasn't able to get free dining for Yacht Club. She put a hold on the Boardwalk for us, but I told her to let it go; we'll just keep the military rate, and then get the military tickets and cancel a few of our ADR's that we don't feel are must do's for us.

I did ask her to try again in a few hours in case things open up. I'm sure there are people booked who are going to cancel or are double booked. We'll see.

I think it is 2 nights and 3 days. You should be fine.

I am so angry right now!!!! I've been at this since 6:00 this morning...first trying to modify my reservation online, then calling (trying for an hour and 10 minutes to get through, then another 2 hours on hold), only to get an uninformed cast member! I feel like crying! I am staying at POR, and my check-in date is October 1st. She told me that I could only get free dining for October 1 and 2, because the promotion ends October 2. I've been to Disney four times, and I KNOW that if my check-in dates fall within the right dates, I get free dining for my whole stay....but I couldn't seem to get this point across to her. I also asked about a PIN because I am a Disney Visa card holder, and she couldn't find any. Then I finally asked her about a room discount, and she said there were none available for my dates (but I swear I saw something about fall room discounts this morning). Four and a half hours later, I've got nothing.

Pins don't have anything to do with the Visa, but why didn't you book POR if you knew she was wrong??? Call back! Good luck! Truckloads of pixie dust to you!!!

Couldn't get through the phone lines at 7 a.m., so I decided to modify online to the free dining offer (which I was scared to do but thought I would give it a try), it magically worked!!! Just had to switch from a nemo suite to a lion king suite, but was able to keep my dates, Sept 15- 21.

Random question. I havent stayed at POP since they built AoA. I heard you can walk from POP to AoA. Is this true?

I was able to get all my clients reservations modified this morning online, while on hold. My call was answered after a little over an hour. I got my own trip booked pretty quickly on the phone. Started working on my list of clients needing quotes and the system crashed. Can't get through on the phone or online, so frustrating!

For myself, I got All Star Music October 28-November 4.

Yup! And, it's totally worth doing it to explore AOA and eat at their awesome food court!

So, in the end, here's how it looks. It took me until 8am eastern to get through via telephone. I had already booked @ AOA with dining but just wanted to get over to a mod. Well, when it was all said in done, I TOTALLY blew my budget and we are now booked:

Beach Club Resort club level
9-19-2015 to 9-26-2015
7 day park hoppers with Water Parks
Free Dining.

So- It was significantly over my budget, but HEY, still a bit lower than POR or CBR without a promotion. I am going to justify it with this:

It's our Family Honeymoon (Familymoon) and a celebration of our 1st anniversary! It is worth it, right?

Thanks. The website says they are completely sold out of all rooms. I was just hoping that since we are already booked, we could add free dining. I'm sure they are sold out by now...but I am still going to call back. I'll take the room discount if the free dining is really sold out. Everything helps!

Things are slowly getting better... I was just able to book a room only at POP to start my split stay, package starting on the 28th. (rep told me there were no rooms available at all on August 27).

Yeah I think I just got lucky 30 minutes ago. The website is back to its old glitchy self now.
