Are Bay Lake Tower and the Contemporary considered two different resorts for mug-purposes? We are staying at BLT, so we are able to use the pool area of both resorts per the Disney official pool rules (Cont. guests cannot use the BLT pools however.) Wondering if I can refill my mug at Contemporary if we are hanging out at the pool area over there or if I should only use the BLT stations.

Doesn't matter anymore. The current mugs with the RapidFill system can be used at any Disney resort.

With the new Rapid Refill Program you can use your mug at ANY WDW resort.

The longest duration that a "length of stay" mug is 14 days. On day 15 you will need to bring your mug, receipt showing you purchased length of stay and the reservation number for the 2nd leg of your trip. They will then activate your mug for the last couple days.
Actually, I bought a length of stay mug on 3-15-15 and it is good through 4-12-15. Used it on 3 different trips over so far and going a few more times. Great deal for us semi-locals.

Are you able to use the refillable mugs sold at the water parks in both water parks? Are they interchangeable?

No, the coffee and iced tea at the refill stations are not complimentary, despite the dispensers not being on the RapidFill chip system.

Please make sure that I am misunderstanding the above. Can our refillable mugs be used for coffee and iced tea at our hotel? We live by coffee each morning and have always used our mugs for it.

My apologies if this has been asked (it's a long thread and I'm being lazy ), if I choose to take my filled mug into the park could I potentially ask for water to be out into it? I know soda and such I'd have to purchase, but most QS give complimentary water cups upon request, could I just hand over my refillable mug?

Yes, you can use your refillable mugs for coffee and tea. (My main use is for coffee too.) The point for the question above is that Disney isn't giving away coffee like you might find at some other hotels chains.

Not sure -- I haven't tried that. Can't hurt to ask! And your experience may vary depending on where you ask. There's also a few QS restaurants, like Backlot Express at DHS and Restaurantosaurus at AK, where the drink dispensers are in the dining area, and you'd be able to fill with water there.

They won't refill your mug, but will give you a cup of ice water. They say they can't do that bc of health code violations or something along those lines

Anyone have a picture of the current refillable mug? looks like the one pictured in post #1 is an older version. thanks!

A couple of times I asked for them to fill it with ice but they wouldn't. They did, however, hand me a full cup of ice on more than one occasion.

This is actively discouraged: people could well see you filling your mug and not realise you're just taking plain cold water and think it's a free-for-all. They will give you a paper cup to fill and then you can tip it into your mug later.

They started using that design in February 2014. I expect they won't change designs for at least another year.
Yeah, they swapped the displays over a couple of days into our stay. So, we got the green and purple, and then saw red, yellow, black and blue being loaded. That's still different to what we saw at AoA this month (purple, blue, red and green).

To recap and make sure I understand: if I have the dining plan on my first reservation, but have a room only rservation for my second reservation (all in the same stay) the mug will still continue to work because it is active for 14 days from the first day of my first reservation. I can pool hop with my mug, but am only allowed a certain amount of refills in a certain allocated period of time.
