**Official Frozen Sing-Along, Oaken's, Holiday Premium Package Tips, updated 1/5/15

This is good to know....are there any further updates on this package from people who have recently gone? We are going on 12/21 and very excited. I know that it will surely not be worth the cost we paid but I am still very much looking forward to it just the same. I have appreciated this thread very much lots of great opinions and advice.

Nobody has posted any further updates or reports.

I think it will be a very nice experience. Can't justify the price any way I look at it. But I'm sure the dessert party will be nice and it will be very nice to have the package seating at the sing-along.

I'm still waiting for more feedback too. I only wish you could enter area prior to lights coming on, MDE states enter @ 6pm, reports say actually 7pm. We purchased the package on 12/21 too. Definitely not worth cost compared to Summer Fun Package & Villain Soiree in terms of what's offered & price. :confused3

Value now based on private area with seats (Christmas crowd levels),desserts, extra magic for daughter. I mentioned canceling to DH, surely thinking he would agree. He said, "it's Christmas at Disney & a Special Event, keep it, it's paid for." Wish he said this all the time. :)

You can enter the streets and watch the lighting there. I think you can hear the the lighting and definitely watch the lights around the package area as they turn on if you are in line or roaming the streets. The angels, the globe, and a banner are all right there in the party area. So you'll see those go on. You just won't see the switch thrown by Santa Goofy from back there.

Does anyone have any information about how many package tickets are available for each of the sing along showings? My group won't be arriving until 3:30ish so the only show that seems to work is the 4:55 show (we'll probably line up before the 6pm show gets out and the 7pm show is when the party starts). Based on the number of tickets available and previous experiences, does anyone think we'll be able to get tickets for that show if we don't arrive till mid afternoon? I'm okay if we don't see the show but one person hasn't seen it yet and would like to. I'm preparing them to wait in the standby line just in case.

This summer the rumor was 200 premium packages sold. However, someone had mentioned less were being sold for the Christmas package. CM are not to talk numbers so it's a guess.

I feel the exact same way. I won't be going back with my son for a few years after our upcoming trip. It's just the two of us and we both absolutely love Frozen. I've been saving money for this trip since I was in my first trimester of pregnancy... the experience will be priceless just to do something special with my son and eat a bunch of desserts. I'm a sweet tooth. :goodvibes

I will be going on 12/1 and I'll be sure to post all of the details of my experience, including photos hopefully.

I hope you have a great time! I look forward to your review.

Hi,
Just booked Disney's Hollywood Studios Frozen Holiday Premium Package for 6 of us on Dec 24th. Says you get premium seating for the sing along and it is good seating for Osborne lights. I understand you get the sing along and desserts and drinks. Can anyone tell me how long this will be?
Thanks

I'm pretty sure it's from 7-8? The lights come on at 6, and you can't see Santa Goofy throw the switch from the party area. MDE says you can enter at 6 but reports are saying that you can check in at 6, but you aren't allowed into the party area until around 7. As far as the Sing Along, look for the signs near the front left of the park for the package and you are issued a paper ticket for the sing along time of your choosing.

That's what I'm seeing, even though MDE says enter @ 6pm. Be mindful Sing-Along time selected based on availability from what I can gather. That needs some clarification. Guess need to go back through thread for Summer Fun Package. Guaranteed a show, not necessarily time you want depending on when you select/pick show time???

BTW- 12/21 was sold out after no Premium Event announced for MVMCP. There had been availability for the past week. Looks like it's sold out again today. :confused3 Guessing ppl trying to justify cost compared to other events & pricing. Most probably doing it for convenience & crowds for holidays.

For the singalong for the package, GS will have a certain number of tickets for each show. First come first served for selection. So the first package person will have all show times available to choose from. Later arrivals will have less times to choose from. At least that's how it was done this summer.

I was at HS last week, only on recommended days (crowd calendar) The first day I didn't have a fast pass and didn't make it into the showing as people were lining up 40 minutes prior to show time. I could have waited for the next showing and gotten in (because I was much closer in line now) but I didn't feel like waiting even longer when I knew I could get a fast pass for the next day. The next day I did get in, front row side seating. The show was great, I didn't know what to expect going into it but it was so cool. I made another fast pass for the next day I was at HS and these two times people in the regular line did get in but there was quite a few people that had to stay in line for the next one.

Also, I planned to do the package but bailed last minute as it was in the 40s last week and it really lost its appeal. I spent the money on a tour instead and was very pleased!

Quick question/-

We won't be taking advantage of the premium singalong seating as we are not making it over to HS until 6- do we still need to go to GS or can we go straight to the dessert party?

Thanks for sharing your experience. I'd expect the same kind of wait times for the weeks of Christmas and New Years.

It did get cold last week. Glad you enjoyed your tour.

I don't know. I'm heading to the studios either tonight or tomorrow night. I will ask.

We were at the dessert party on the 24th.We saw several groups of people come to the podium where the dessert party lines up and checked in to get their lanyards for the party. They didn' t need to go to guest services if they entered the park right before the party.
We enjoyed the party,it was myself and 2 dds,17, and 13.We lined up at 6:20 and got great seats. We loved the ice cream cart, they had mickey bars, mickey ice cream sandwiches, frozen bananas on a stick, strawberry bars,Olaf bars(strawberry lemonade)and maybe one more type ? They did have small water bottles and canned soda,we took some with us as we walked around through the lights no problem. They had a hot cocoa area with marshmallows and whipped cream.Pog juice and Apple cider ,along with the adult drinks.Loved the Olaf cake pops the most, cupcakes were good too_Overall I thought it was a nice treat ,one of those things you do once .

... There are two entrances/exits for the Snowground. You can enter from the store OR through the sliding doors that were the former entrance into the AFI building after the Backlot Tour.

Please don't make me read the whole thread:scared: A search brought me to the above - can someone confirm if this is still true?
Do they take the same number of people from each entrance per snow session or is there an advantage to being in one queue over the other?
Is the exit from the snow area outside so that you must enter (again) to shop or is there an exit from the snow area to the shops?
Any navigation tips for snow and Wandering Oaken's appreciated - I am overwhelmed:crazy2: TIA

We did this package Friday night and my honest opinion would be to skip it. I'm not one that needs to feel like it was worth the price and I still wouldn't do it again. We really wanted to have a unique magical experience and it just wasn't. I should disclose it was a chilly night so that may have impacted the overall experience. As far as the singalong, we had never been but would have been fine with any seat in the house honestly. I was worried ahead of time our fast pass wouldn't get us a good enough view and I'd be disappointed. I'm picky and really would have been fine with fast pass seating. They had rows 3-6 blocked for the package. The desserts at the party just weren't very good. I'm a sweet freak and they were bad. Cupcakes had freezer burn taste, Rice Krispies hard as rock and the chocolate fondue was sticking to itself like fudge! They said they couldn't keep it hot enough with the colder temps. I will say I sampled the alcoholic beverages and they were tasty. We were at the party maybe 15-20 minutes and left. My other reason for booking this package was I wanted a place for my DD that is 6 to see the lights without being in the middle of the crowd. We could have stood in the same area and got the same break from crowds with same view, just no tables. As a side note, we find we are sitting a lot at HS with all the shows, etc so my feet weren't begging for a break like at MK when the dessert party is such a relief! Are we glad we did the premium package? Well the best way I can answer is we would have had just as magical an evening without it!

That was true when it first opened, but as soon as it got busy, they stopped allowing people in through the store and began to send people around the corner to the door where you came out to ride the tram back when the Backlot Tour was open. There is a note and picture of the door in the first post.

There is only 1 queue for the snow, unless it's changed since I was there 2 weeks ago. There may or may not be a line to enter the snowground building. Once inside the building there is a corral instead of a zigzagged queue like there use to be. Just get in the corral and they let a large amount of people in at the same time.

Least busiest times are first thing in the morning and before the snowground closes. At the end of day, ds and dh built a nice sized ice castle. I was impressed until the cm told me that once someone built an igloo before close.

Another suggestion, bring gloves.

The exit of the snow ground leads you into the store.

Thanks, Love that tink:littleangel: - perfect explanation. We will go to snow area when it opens then enjoy shops when we exit the snow area. Great tip on the gloves!

If we aren't playing in the snow but want to visit the photo ops, do we still enter from the same door? Or do we go through the shop? Sorry, I can't tell from the photos. TIA :goodvibes

You're welcome. Sounds like a good plan.

Yes. Entry is same place.

I have pictures to post from this afternoon and evening at dhs. There is new Frozen merchandise at Oaken's. Anna ears, Elsa ears, Olaf magnets. I think a new glass. Lenticular picture. And an Olaf Christmas pin. I didn't get a chance to look at prices though.

Does anyone know how long they serve the desserts? We went to the last singalong and it wasn't over until 20 minutes of 8.

Merchandise I didn't see until tonight at Oaken's

We viewed the turning on of the lights from behind the Premium Package viewing area. Was a very nice view. Just no sitting except for a few spots. The lighting began at 5:49 tonight.

Thanks, Tink. That Gumdrop drink? OH MY. I'm going to add that to my touring plan. LOL.

So I'm on my way back home and I'd thought I'd give my review- I liked it! We went Saturday November 29 - didn't wait in line as they started letting people in at 6:45 and we just walked up.

It was not sold out at all and we easily got a nice seat. I thought it was great bc the Osborne Lights was very busy when we first got there and the party made a nice break from the crowd. We were able to relax and listen to every Christmas song and the commentary discussing the history of the lights.

The adult drinks were great and I'm not even much of a drinker. They definitely weren't shy on the strength of the drinks.

We left the party a little after 8pm - I took a coffee to go and strolled around a much less crowded lights and searched for the hidden Mickeys and black cat.

We did this, MVMCP, and the Candlelight Processional with NPH and I'd say this was my favorite.- go figure as I was very skeptical in the beginning!

I will say I would have loved some savory food options as in appetizers or even nuts as I do not have a sweet tooth for the price but I knew that wasn't going to happen.
