I have four, count them, four bags of macadamia nut filled Hershey Kisses. That should tide us over for a few minutes in case of inclement weather, right?

Note that this says FORMATION. So for the next 5 days no formation is expected. A hurricane would have to Form, grow in strength and travel which will take many days. The person who started this discussion may have been confused by all the hurricane activity in the Pacific ocean, as in Hawaii...

~Forecaster Ninja Mom!!!!!
Nice Forcasting Ninja! But if there was one in 5 days, I'll be glad to be off the coast! Hotel here is half a block from ocean

Discovery Cove was amazing and well worth the money. We went all out with the Elute package so had the private cabana, full photo and DVD package along with buoy delivered by a dolphin, a bag, plush toy and photo frame.

can you post a picture of the tote bag and the stuffed dolphin?
Was the package worth the money? I think I saw it was $399

They are in the picture above. It's a new tote bag. Not the backpack from earlier this season. We checked the prices in the shop. The dolphin was $14.99 and the tote $24.99!!!!

I paid $359 for the package. I think it has gone up in price.

thank you,
We are doing Discovery Cove for sure, but I am on the fence about the upgraded package, I just don't know if that money is better spend on something else? Plus I would need 2 stuffed dolphins

I have 3 bags of trail mix from Discovery Cove. :rolleyes1
Are there nuts? Protein can totally sustain us for a while.

Too bad YC club level is getting stingy with the liquor. We could grab a few bottles of wine and not care about the weather.

So happy to hear everyone is storing up provisions, and willing to share. I'll make sure to save some of the gum in my purse for our potluck party.

Umm... purse gum. Yum-mee!!
When I was a little larva my Nana used to have a roll of lint covered Lifesavers bouncing around in the bottom of her GIANT Nana purse. I would beg her to share some with me but she would lie to me and try to tell me that they were Tums antacid tablets. She wasn't fooling anyone but I never let her see how disappointed I was. I just made sure I got her a roll of the real Tums each and every Christmas as payback for being so... um, generous.

Safe travels :drive: to all headed to the BC/YC this weekend or early next week. We who will be staying home await your trip reports and pictures :woohoo:. Hope all goes well with the DIS meeting. Please raise a glass and give us a toast when you are dining (or just drinking) at the Crew's Cup :drinking1.

Well we are about 15-15 1/2 hours away from our scheduled departure time.

I have packed myself and three kids. Unfortunately DH has even started packing (busy with work). I know the drill when things are like that - at the eleventh hour DH will just start jamming things in the suitcase with no rhyme or reason.

We once arrived for a two week Disney stay and a four day stay at HHI and DH had packed about 20 shirts, 2 pairs of shorts and 2 pairs of underwear. Needless to say I was not a happy camper.

Yes, I still pack the kids even though they are now 14, 15 and almost 17.
The reason is purely selfish. Left to their own devices the girls would not only pack every outfit and every pair of shoes they own, but also clear the house of every bath and beauty product we own. DH still cringes at the site of our "shoe bag". I think he brings two pairs of shoes for the whole trip.
Ds however is a man after his father's heart. He would probably pack 2 pair of shorts, 20 t shirts and a bathing suit (probably wouldn't even remember socks or underwear)!

So today is my "crazy day". Nail appointments, packing up food for the drive down, making sure house is spotless, last minute laundry and obsessing about DH packing.

Can't wait to see you all!

I hope that everyone traveling to YC/BC this weekend has a great trip - and posts lots of mini trip reports. :drive: It sounds like it will be a great Dis meet. :goodvibes

Hi everyone!!! I have been MIA so have tons if pages to catch up on. I hope you all are well!

I am so excited to share that my 14 year old son and I are coming back to the World next Tuesday for just a few days. I just booked this yesterday and surprised him last night. Yay! Our other 2 children are not so happy. Lol. But this is a reward trip for really good grades while playing sports working etc. why am I trying to justify this to y'all. Lol. I just want back!!!! And since Teena suggested I need an AP......

Anyway, we aren't staying at BC/YC this trip and will be at POP. I figure he will want to go park commando so hopefully I won't miss my favorite place too much. :-)

Did I miss the meet and greet or is that next week?

Any suggestions on a last minute trip? The CM said to get his ticket next week when here so I can't precook my FP. Is that correct?

Dee- glad you had a great trip!

Hope the big group of you who are going soon have a wonderful time! Be sure to update us all about what's going on at the BC. I am especially interested to hear how the room reno's are coming along. We are going in October -- I wish with a discount, but still at rack rate. No discounts for our time at BC! Seems incredibly popular time for BC.
