**Official Frozen Sing-Along, Oaken's, Holiday Premium Package Tips, updated 1/5/15

just a few other things from our HS day yesterday.

Magic bands of all sorts were available, behind the counter in the Frozen shop. Plush Olafs and some of the dolls were also being sold on a cart to the left of the stage, a cart near the sing a long and once upon a time ( behind the counter).

We did the 9pm Fantasmic and it was delayed by about 10 minutes. We left at the end and walked back down to the hat and managed to get a spot on the street you exit from to stand and watch the fireworks, our view was the screen was ok, we couldn't see the stage, but the view of the fireworks was great and they were pretty amazing ( they must have delayed the fireworks as well).

I think if they did throw this stuff together quickly they have done a great job, we were asked questions about what we thought of it on our way out. The only thing it's missing is an Olaf meet and Greet in my opinion.

Hi guys, back from our 4th of July weekend trip to D.C. and boy how this thread has exploded. We are going Saturday to check it all out and are planning a very special birthday visit for my niece who is turning 3 and is a Frozen Fan on August 5th. I first thought about trying to get her in the parade (didn't read the full thread but I'm thinking they pick kids at random like sww?) but I checked out a video and don't see anything extra special other than walking in the parade. And the welcome show at the stage didn't really seem like something worth standing in the sun for. Does anything special happen backstage fort he kids picked? We are planning on catching the parade around the Star Tours area in hopes for lesser crowds, the only thing I would be missing is the welcomes how and the snow right?

I remember reading on here that someone said they "meet" A & E backstage. I am on my phone & can't easily find it to quote it but I'm pretty certain I read someone sharing that experience first hand. Hope you guys had a great trip!!

wmoon - it's like you read my mind. I was just about to ask if someone had experience with the 9 pm Fantasmic show and still getting out in enough time to catch the fireworks. Obviously choices have to be made, but after watching several videos of the stage show, I would prefer to have a better view of the fireworks especially since we have several M&G in MK scheduled. Is it safe to assume that you could hear the Fireworks / Frozen soundtrack no problem? Can I ask how you departed out of Fantasmic and where you stopped to watch the show? Thanks!

I'm arriving towards the end of August. It's kind of a surprise for my kids. I would love to get the Frozen Magic bands to give to my kids before we leave. Incorporate it somehow in telling them that we are going. Someone that I know is going next week. I understand that if you buy a magic band it has to be activated right there. My question is, if I give that person my magic band information, can they buy the Frozen magic bands and activate them for me? Will they be good for our dates? I have a 10 day park hopper. It does not have, the no expiration feature.

If you sent your MagicBands with them, you could have the Frozen MagicBands linked to them. You have to have tickets, MagicBands, or Memory Maker in your possession in order to purchase.

thanks for the information. I guess I'll have to wait till we get there to get the Magic Bands. My magic bands and memory maker aren't shipping until next week. If the Memory Maker comes before the bands, I can just give him the MM to get the bands at the park?

That's great the mb are back! My son wanted an Olaf one, but they were gone Sunday when we were in there.

Did you follow the advice given on the first page to stay to the left when exiting Fantasmic?

A "real" Olaf of some kind would have been so awesome!

I remember reading on here that someone said they "meet" A & E backstage. I am on my phone & can't easily find it to quote it but I'm pretty certain I read someone sharing that experience first hand. Hope you guys had a great trip!!

That would be so cool. I hope someone can confirm this one way or the other.

One of the DISers gave a tip to stay to the left when exiting. I quoted the tip on the first post of this thread.

I don't know the answer to that. They were out of magic bands when we were looking for them. However, we did get a Yoda band for SWW and you had to scan your mb or hard ticket on their ipad to activate it.

That's what we were told during SWW. We were with CMs so no one had linkable tickets in MDE and we didn't being in our MBs. Memory Maker was the only option but we didn't need it. The CM will link the MB to the Memory Maker account and then you can link them to your MDE when you receive them.

thank you so much. Hope I get something before they go.

Hi all 1st time posting. Singalong advice without the premium pass. Would it safe to assume that if we arrive to the ticket distribution green umbrellas by 4:00 we would most likely be able to obtain tickets for one of the remaining shows that night. Would hate to arrive in the park and find that we can't get in to see the show. TIA!

I am interested in this response too. Thinking of canceling package and hoping to do sing a long and fireworks in the evening after our afternoon break.

I don't know if or how early the shows have been filling up. I chose the first show, the first day and it was a "sold out" show.

Yesterday, the people around me at the parade didn't know you needed to get tickets for the show. I'm sure there are many people who don't know. I have this week's Times Guide in my hand, and it makes no mention to needing tickets. I'd expect once people are more aware that they need tickets for the sing-along, they might be in more demand. But I'm just guessing.

I hope people will report back about their experience getting tickets later in the day.

I can pop over late one afternoon and test it out too.

A couple people reported being able to pick their time for the shows without the package, and one person reported back that tickets were only being passed out in order. If the second scenario is true, you'd stand a good chance. But if people can pick and choose, those later show tickets could be chosen far ahead of time. I know I'd prefer a 7pm show if I was staying for fireworks.

We did the package. I feel we almost got our money's worth in food and drink, not even adding on the extra of the show. If ds 10 would have been charged kid's price, I would be saying we broke even. The cons, we had an obstructed view of the fireworks. Checked in an hour early, when yesterday we showed up on our own about a half hour before the parade and got curbside viewing. On Sunday night we did the fireworks on our own, found a table at Min and Bill's about an hour and a half before show time. It was nice to have a great view and be sitting!

We are going to do the package again. We really enjoyed it.

We found a penny press with an Olaf design inside one of the stores. I didn't think to look at the name of the store at the time. But as you are entering the park it's in the row of stores on the left hand side.

I started following this thread early on and then the holiday happened so I am pages behind.

Has anything been reported on Morning EMH and obtaining tickets to the sing along show? Where do you go to get tickets? Do they pass them out during AM EMH or wait to start handing them out during regular park hours?

Has anyone posted anything about the dance party?

The first post of this thread has information about where to get the tickets and about the dance party.

I don't know about EMH though.

Hey yulilin!!

I found this in the comments section of the Dos and Don'ts post in the DIS blog:

"We were able to attend the Frozen Summer at DHS on Sunday and bought the Premium Package thanks to a tip from Nicole. The premium package includes reserved seating right in front of the stage. My daughter and I were lucky enough to be asked to march in the parade upon entering the park by a cast member. We were able to go backstage and meet Anna and Elsa and we were right behind them during the parade! It was a great experience!"

That's the only place where I've seen a comment regarding meeting A&E. Hope your niece gets pixie-dusted!

I'm subscribing to this as well. Thank you for compiling all this information. Crossing my fingers it will be extended through the end of October, but if not we will have to make a trip for Labor Day.

Is there a link which shows the time of fireworks for the summer? We're there the back end of August so would love to catch the fireworks one of those nights!

ETA: just saw on the first post that it will be 9.15 when we are there. We were only planning one full day on the 22nd August and were hoping to catch Fantasmic which starts at 8.30. How long does that last? Will we definitely miss the Frozen fireworks?

I'm wondering why they couldn't extend the frozen event? I'm guessing they can use the floats for the parade and for the CM this is in the morning so not a conflict with the MVMCP, plus they have no parade of any kind listed at DHS listed after frozen events ... The park needs a parade. Hiring extra characters for the frozen characters can be done since they do this now between MK meet and great and DHS frozen events. The sing along is in a building not effecting the Osborne lights as is the fireworks at night by the hat. The ice skating, activities and Oaken's does effect Osborne lights right? Is there a part of the frozen events that would effect Osborne lights I'm not thinking about? I saw it mentioned they need the floats and CM for MK parade but if it's a draw to continue I'm sure disney has plenty of floats.
As far as the MVMCP and Halloween party hard ticket events by the time the frozen event is scheduled to be over I would guess most of people would of bought their tickets ... I bought mine the day they came on sale for November. Plus the events are so different with the parties being in MK and all inclusive with all the character meets, Christmas parade in the evening and wishes holiday fireworks ect. I could easily see guests wanting to do both events since they are very different. Any thoughts?
