*****Official (??) June 2014 Thread -- Party Like It's Hot!*****

We've been there Aug 2013. It was HOT! But I'm originally from a tropical country, so it did not bother me as much. I was just focused on getting in line (and fastpass +) for the attractions! :)

We're going there this June though and I hope it won't be too crowded! I read an article a few days ago that they had to close MK (limit probably) and asked the people to go to Epcot. I do hope that won't happen when we're there.

We have never done summer either! We have always done low crowd time in September or October and latest trip November!
We're coming from the UK and are worried about the heat and crowds!

Never would I choose to do June-July were going the end of June to disney into July 4th wk :( we had to due to hubby's deployment.

Don't forget to get your Fastpasses. If you have the time to plan which attractions you want to go to per park, then have a list. Getting the Disney Dining Plan is very convenient and affordable. You can dine in at restaurants (buffet, Character Meals) that would actually cost you and your hubby without the plan around $70-80/ table-service meal. I'm not sure though how much the plan is this year. The only downside to this is that you have to make a reservation and stick to it. If you reserve at 6pm, you have to allot an hour before that, so that you don't lose your reservation. If your priority is to experience everything at all the parks, then maybe the Dining Plan won't be as good. But if you want to mix your experience with some fine dining, then I would suggest adding this to your package.

We'll be leaving at the time you arrive. It's the same thing for us. I saw how happy our toddler DD was and we're so excited to see her hug all the characters as if it's her long-lost betfriends! :)

We're Going to Disney World!!

The Wiles Family
Will be local from 6/10- 6/16
Seeping at AoA (and that’s all we will have time to do!!)
Coming from PA where it's been winter forever!!!
This will be our third family trip and Second in as many years (Hooked!)

This will be our second trip with DS(7) and after watching him laugh, and play last year... well I think we will be coming back quite often! It truly is the happiest place on earth!! :yay:

Same with us. A very loooong drive. This will be our first. We've always booked plane tickets (twice) to get to Orlando, but to save a bit more, we're going to try driving. We're excited though! We're listing down all the songs we want to accompany us :)

12 weeks from today we'll start our loooooong drive! :-)

We are less than a month away from booking our FP+ attractions for our trip in June. I've been researching and contemplating how best to use my 3 options each day for my wife and I. We will have a park hopper each day. We will get to our morning parks at opening each day. We are not commandos and do not need to "do" everything. My plan is to focus on evening FP+ at our second park when parks are more crowded.
We have park hoppers too and plan to go to a different park in the evening. However, which park is still up in the air. Most days I made an ADR for lunch between and 11 and 12 at the morning park. So wondering if we should just use our FP+ after lunch at the same park. And then use the evening park for a show and looking around and getting a feel for where things are when it is our morning park. Still not sure... :confused3

When DH and I drive down to DLR (8 hour drive for us) we play a music game. He plugs in his mp3 player with all kinds of random music. I have to guess who sings it. If I get 25 right on the trip I get some random prize (maybe an extra pin from Disneyland or something). It keeps us busy the entire time and he gets to listen to his music (since he drives).

Super excited!!!!!!!! For my 6th wedding anniversary my husband has went above and beyond:lovestruc. Originally we were to stay at AOA June 1-8 :thumbsup2however, he has changed it. How about dinner at The Yachtsman? They have great steaks and it's right at the Yacht Club:)

I have heard Yachtsman listed as one of the best steak places in WDW. Of course most say Shula's at the Dolphin is THE best but very $. On another note, anyone able to book,FP+ for either Anna and Elsa M&G in MK or the new MK parade?

:cheer2:

DS3 used the potty this morning! He turned 3 in January so he's new at this. Also he was born early (35 weeks) so doctor says some things may be a bit longer to master. idk. I plan on bringing plenty of pull-ups and wipes on the trip, no matter.

:cool1:

Next UPS delivered one set of R2D2 Mickey Ears, 3 spritzer fans, child id tattoos, and toddler tether. We tried all the items out. DS doesn't mind this "leash" around his wrist.

And then I logged on here to find out I can purchase a MagicBand upon my arrival. Being offsite I am fine with having to pick my fastpass+ upon arrival in park. But I really just wanted the silly band around my wrist.

Still have to purchase tickets over at the base. Plan to get those in the next couple of weeks. We put it off because we are unsure if the older boys are going now. DS19 is MOVING to Tampa area. Ok, so he's the same age as I was when I got married, but I wasn't completely ready for that. And there is a garage full of furniture for his "future home." But on the good side...He'll soon be able to get Florida residency tickets!

I hope time moves by quicker. :duck:

My daughter was born at 35 weeks as well. And it took her longer than your son to use the potty!

Apparently now guests staying offsite can also book their FP+ up to 30 days in advance. And right now MDE is down. I can't even sign in. Someone on the Boards say that they called IT and they are aware of the problem. oops!

If we are comparing potty notes- my twins were born at 34 weeks and weren't potty trained until they were almost 4! But they are 20 now and doing just fine in that department. :rotfl2:
And I finally got my new laptop today! :cool1: So now MDE should work, right? ;)

I'm all ready to book my fp tomorrow :). My AP magic bands come today....it's all coming together!

On the website it is only letting me look at a 30 day window for booking Fastpass plus but I am staying onsite. :( tomorrow is my 60 days. Anyone have this problem.

75 days out...

I now have three sets of Magic bands....I think I'll keep one set boxed up as some sort of weird keepsake...

Are you AP? If so I believe you have to call them so they can adjust it.

Thank you, Kristina and PinkBudgie !! I hadn't pushed him at all. WIC recommended not to start any training until the 3 year mark. I have a friend who's pushing her new 2 to go in the potty.

DS3 has my height so that's why he's in the 98%. Most people think he is closer to 5 until he starts to speak. He jabbers, but he's learning the words. Cracks me up. He has learned all the letters of the alphabet and numbers. Thank you to LeapFrog and Sesame Street!

And you're right the older kids are out of diapers and in college or high school. So, all in good time!

I called this morning and I had a blonde moment. My 60 days isn't until the 3rd :) it will not let me even view any information past May 1. It also let me make EPCOT fast pass last week. The Cast Member said glitches in the system.

What number did you call for fast pass questions?
