I am thinking about attempting to make a Donald on my DH's band. I won't be getting them for a few more months, but I'm way too excited and drew out a sketch.

This doesn't come easy for me so there was a LOT of erasing and fixing involved. So I have a couple of questions:

Will I be able to draw outlines on the band in pencil first?
Do the nail art pens come off with polish remover just as easily as regular polish?
Does anyone think this drawing would actually be do-able on a band? :confused3 I tried to use the mickey ears as the eyes and use Mickey's head to guide the beak and mouth. But I don't know if my sketch is proportional to the actual band...

Yes the nail art pens are removable with polish remover. Don't worry your set up is great and I must have started over 3 or 4 times from scratch bc I didn't like it. I also kept messing up the mouth so I just would wipe the bottom part off and try again. Keeping the nose up the same.

You can put down a bottom coat of the background color to cover the black edges to give you more area to paint on. That's what I did

I hope the pencil first works- it's what I planned to do! Dh decided on Darth Maul. :sad2: :eek:

Mind has been officially blown. These bands are amazing. Now I need to figure out what I want to do with my pink band. It kinda making me rethink my color choice with all the options I can do with other colors.debating if I want sparkles or glow in the dark. My boyfriend will probably want to put a batman symbol on it or something comic book related. This just made the long wait exciting again.
 
Oh my goodness, kenshinelite, I am going to have to show your band to my DS. Stitch is his favorite character. He is going to love your band!
 
Has anyone tried craft vinyl. Like designs you would cut from a cricut or silhouette cameo? Was wondering if maybe the permanent outdoor vinyl would work with a clear topcoat? I won't have my bands for awhile not going till May but my mind was already thinking and was hoping someone might have a machine and want to try it.:confused3 Please post if you have done one using this method. Thanks! Love all the bands keep them coming. I am so excited that I found this!!!!
 
Just arrived, and my super decorated band with the pearl and rhinestones around the mickey head worked perfectly!!!
