Thank you all for your freezer answers. When you say small, would they fit 2 capri sun pouches or small juice boxes?
Please be aware that not all fridges have freezer compartments - in fact until recently almost none did. Given that a few people have posted that they have found them on recent visits, I wonder if the batch of 1,000 new fridges which was installed towards the end of November might have (by chance) included freezer compartments? But whatever the reason, please don't count on it.
Can anyone tell me the best way to get a complaint to POR? I have their address but not sure who I should address it to? Is their an email address or fax?
You could email the main WDW Guest Relations address (
wdw.guest.communications@disneyworld.com) or fax the resort management directly using the resort fax number listed in the first post. Mark your fax for the personal attention of either the Guest Relations manager or the General Manager, depending on how serious you think it is.
We fly into Tampa, so we always have a car. However, we ALWAYS take the bus to MK. Even when we went to Hoop de doo Revue, we took the bus to MK and the boat to Fort Wilderness, much faster than driving, which we've also done.
I'd go along with the bus to MK usually being faster, but Disney transport to Hoop de Doo from POR is more questionable.
From POR it's a very quick drive (maybe 5 mins) to the Fort Wilderness parking lot, and then you just get on the first internal circuit bus that turns up to take you over to the main area.
Using Disney transport, you'd probably only just have got to the MK in the time it would have taken you to get all the way to the venue by car & FW bus. That said, if you've got the time and you're not clashing with the MK exit crowds on the way back, the boat is a very pleasant way to get there.
I was wondering what the plug in things are on the entertainment unit where the tv is located, is it just A/V plugs or is there a spot to plug in an iPhone or iPod to charge in a USB outlet?
Just A/V sockets:
Just A/V, no USB, no outlets - at least in the royal room we are in. There is a dual outlet on the nightstand between the beds.
There are several twin wall outlets: a set beside the table, on the wall by the bed, behind the bedside table (not very easy to get at other than in Accessible Rooms where it has been moved to above the table level) and another beside the sinks. Some are used for supplied products, but mostly there's at least one socket left free.
Personally I always take at least one four-way mains extension cable, they are easy enough to pack and save a lot of hassle if you've got multiple items to charge, etc.
Do you like the Partierre Place building? I requested magnolia Terrace but wondered about your building for being close to the main area.......is it all royal guest rooms though?
Parterre is indeed all Royal Rooms.
For regular bookings, the two mansion building options are Acadian House and Magnolia Terrace. In general terms, Magnolia is probably the better location of the two (although there are some very nice rooms in Acadian too - the buildings are so large than even though some rooms are very close, others can be quite a walk).
