Anyone in December getting FP+ and MB

So I logged in to MDE at 7 am on my 60 day mark and did the online checkin. It worked but no "personalize magicband" button. So everyday 3-4 times a day I try to modify my checkin, which fails everytime. So no "personalize magicband" button to date.

Hopefully something will changes soon.

As you can see from my sig, I go to WDW 4-5x a year. I know my way around like the back of my hand....but NOT with a Magic Band! I am clueless about all of this, and my next trip in December is within the 60-day mark. I did online check-in but can't seem to find where to customize MBs or choose my FP+. I'll just read what everyone else here is doing & follow suit!

I was part of the FP+ testing last December which was really exciting. We got to choose 3 FP per day, across all parks, and they were loaded onto a FP card. Unfortunately, it didn't quite work for us, we never seemed to be in the right park at the right time to use them. The only one we used was the Priority Viewing for Wishes, which was great.

Please keep all the info coming!

We too got to test FP* last year but in September and only at MK, loved it, we used it for wishes, Msep and had one for something else but didn't end up using it....

We are 65 days out and I'm not so patiently waiting.....

Don't feel bad about asking Qs, this is is very new and there is so much to learn :teacher:
I have pre-purchased my AP for our trip at the beginning of December, did it over the phone and they gave me a reference number that I have entered into the My Disney Experience website.
This meant that 60 days ahead of my trip I was able to schedule all my FP+ times
You wont be able to schedule FP+ in advance without having valid admission so it may be worth buying your tickets in advance and getting them linked to your reservation

We check-in November 29th, but I was able to customize our MB and book FP+ for our vacation. Hoping you all get to do the same soon. To answer your question, in the MDE app, he FastPass+ shows up under the "Plan & Manage" section. There's a screenshot below for you.

Just curious, someone else in November was able to do this in the app. Can you give it a try? Open the MDE app, and then go to "Add Plans". Select a day that is within your stay at WDW. The next screen should have an option to "Select FastPass+ Experiences", tap on that. The next screen should have an option for "Make your FastPass+" selections, tap that. Then you should be able to add your party members, and then tap next. The next screen should tell you to pick a park, see if you can do that. If you aren't able to select a park, at the bottom of the screen should be an option for FastPicks. See if you can tap that and what comes back. For myself and others in November before we were actually able to schedule FP+, it would come back with FP+ to schedule in Epcot, but no other parks. I'm just curious if you get the same thing. If so, it might means FP+ could be around the corner for you.

You will be able to order your MB's when you open your MDE account you see that the words "Personalize MagicBands" instead of "Manage MagicBands".

Each of the days of your trip will appear in the calendar and then you click on a date to make the fp+'s for that day. You can go to your itinerary at any time to make changes to it.
 
Yes, you will see it in the app. As you can see above LOL. It will list Fastpass+ in the list of choices.

When I went to "Add Plans"' fp+ did not show up. Only make a reservation and add extras showed up.
 
Today is our 60 day mark. I went on the Disney site to check in and went through the form and then it said there was an error when I got to the end. So I went to the link that was posted on page 20 of this forum and did it that way and I received an e-mail confirming the check in. It also shows up on MDE saying modify check in so that did change. The only thing I noticed was that when I went to the link on this forum it didn't ask me to create a pin #. Does anyone know if I will get to do that when I get to the resort (Pop)? It also would not let me choose the 70's building. It said I would have to call. That is really not a big deal to us. We won't be at the resort much.

On the other WDW Reservations link posted on this thread, a few pages back, the drop down arrow to select the resort does not work. Then I skip it and move on to the next step. I fill out my confirmation number, name, check in day, etc. and it gives me a red error message that it doesn't match their records.

You no longer need to do online checkin to be able to customize your magic bands. They announced November checkins all on the same day. November opened up as a whole month. So they will probably either do that with December or announce that it's fully rolled out, at some point. My guess is that it will be around the 15th to 25th of October. Somewhere within that 10 day span we will probably hear something.
 
Yes, the drop down box worked and I was able to select Pop. The only thing it wouldn't let me do is when I selected the 70's section at the end it said I couldn't do that and I would have to call. I got a confirmation to print and also an e-mail confirmation. On the link check in it didn't let me pick a pin #. There was no place for that. I don't know if I will get to do that when I arrive and pick up everything or not.
 
Ok. I finally just got that other WDW resorts reservation link to work for me and I officially completed online check in. We booked through a third party/travel company. I was clicking on that link on that first page and trying both the travel company's confirmation code and WDW confirmation code. Neither would ever work. This last time I clicked that I booked directly with Disney and it let me put the WDW confirmation code and complete online check in. The first blue WDW resort drop down arrow didn't work, but I was able to select GF on the page where I filled in confirmation code, name, check in date, etc. As bcinohio posted, I was not able to add a personal pin. I was able to make a room request, though. I hope we will be able to the pin later. :confused3

I guess if I try to use MDE to modify the check in to add my pin then it will still lead me to the Goofy error message. I am too afraid to try it. I do not want to mess up what I have been able to do now.
 
Are you making a second trip of the year or annual pass holders? If this is your first trip then you seem to be the first person to report having received an invite for December.


We were in Disney in June. We are also AP holders. Our reservations are made through DVC.

We didn't previously get MBs and use FP+.


Well, I think I might have an idea why....

I had to call their Helpdesk/IT over the weekend. I called on Saturday and the email showed up on Saturday shortly after the phone call.

I called because our vacation is on two separate DVC reservations. I made ours and a friend made the one for my SIL and MIL. MIL is the lead name on the reservation. She hasn't used her WDW login in over 8 years. We reset her password and linked her AP, but we could not link the resort reservation. I tried to do online check-in for her and the system wouldn't allow it. So, I called and explained to them what I was trying to do and the error message I was getting. The CM said she would get it taken care of. She put me on hold.

I was on hold for 35 minutes!!!!!!! When she came back, she told me that my SIL and MIL's reservation is now linked under my login and I can check everybody in, get everybody's MBs and book FP+ for everybody. I said "Oh, we don't have those" to which she simply responded "you will".

So, if nobody else is getting them for December, I would be willing to bet that she did something in the system that prompted that email.

I asked her if it was to be fully implemented in December and she laughed and said no. (I know CMs arent always correct) She did say that the testing will most likely go on through February before it is rolled out to all guests.

Can disney help fix this issue or is it just something I will have to do when we get there?

In other threads, people have waited to get to Disney to have issues fixed, only to have the front desk staff have to call IT to have something fixed. I would suggest calling yourself before you get there. I would hate to have to wait at the front desk to have something fixed if it can be fixed before you get there.

I also just did it on the other site. It didn't ask me if I wanted to be alerted about my room, but it did ask my cell phone number where I am able to be reached during my stay. I wonder if they will notify me using that number automatically. I am hoping we can eventually add that option and pin on MDE.

Well, the worst they can tell you is wait, right? Personally, when I'm in Disney I don't want to worry about that stuff, I'm most people are the same way. Get me on my vacation and let me have fun.
