Official 2013 MNSSHP Guest List Thread

I'm already on the list for Oct 29th, but at just over 8 weeks out, we finally decided on costumes. I wanted to go in Doctor Who attire, but DH didn't want to shell out the $$ for a good 10th Doctor costume. Oh well, Stargate is a good second, and at least I got him to agree to dress up!!!!

my family will be at The Party on September 20th!
My DH and I are going as Dipper and Mabel from Gravity Falls, our DD is going as Merida and my sister is joining us as Esmarelda from Hunchback of Notre Dame!! My sister going with us is a big surprise to DD, as is the whole trip!

Finally finished sewing DD's costume. Thought I would post pictures of us. I think I need to make the name badges bigger for DH and me as I wouldn't want to be mistaken for the real thing. DD Merida, DS Mickey Mouse, DH and me CM's.

We changed our dates to the 29th. Adults - No Costumes, just halloween shirts. DD- Snow White, DS- no costume, just halloween shirt and the other child is undecided

We're just 20 days out from our trip.

Me & DH will be attending the 27th of September party. We're reusing last years costumes and will be going as Ariel and Linguini.

I dug out my wig and it hasn't faired all that well. It's a tad messy, so has anyone got any tips on how to untangle it? lol.

Very nice! The Merida costume is great!

I'm with you-- make the name tags oversized, then nobody will think you're actually a CM.

Oct 11th- 8 in our group. 5 of us, (plus Duffy), will be Mouseketeers, and the other 3 still undecided (probably Toy Story gang)

We had 2 sets of friends decide to join us for the party on Oct 3rd. Now we have 6 adults & 4 kids!
I put together DS's Carl Fredricksen costume and I'm pretty happy with the way it turned out. I'm planning to put a bunch of balloons on his stroller as well. Hopefully he will keep his glasses on!

DD's Kevin costume has been a lot of work but I like how it's shaping up. I'm finished with the sewing portion. I need to make some sort of feathered headband and I'm trying to decide if I want to make a little yellow mask.

The other kids are going to be Ursula & Mickey.
The adults are all still debating costumes. Personally I'd love to be Ellie to go with the UP theme but I'm not sure if people would "get it".

Ok...now we have 5 going to the party on 9/27... Two are going as Sora from Kingdom Hearts and Snow White and the 5th(adult) is still undecided. She wants to go as herself. She is quite a character on her own, but I'm trying to convince her to play along!

Oh wow! Your DDs Kevin costume is brilliant! Awesome job, I'm very impressed.

I think you'd get away with being Ellie, I think people would definitely make the connection if you already have Carl and Kevin in your group.

I have a costume update. We are on the list for sept 17th. Dh will now be going as Dr doofensmirtz and youngest Ds will be going as a skeleton.

I'm hoping to find some way to Disney up the skeleton costume.
