For those that have stayed in a deluxe room which one was your favorite? Last year we got the first floor, which was our last choice, but we ended up enjoying the location. I am trying to decide which one to request in May. Can anyone guess which floors will be renovated at that point?

Hey not sure if someone answered this and I missed it. Ow long is the walk to the Dolphin? And has anyone rented a car from National that had an j can't car seat- how was it? We are just getting the car for our trip from the airport and dinner at Ohana the first night. I really don't want to lug a car seat. (And just for those that care- if I determine that the car seat doesn't look safe enough or is gross we will just cancel the car and take DME transportation to the hotel. But I'm hoping the car rental works out. It would be a big help that first day.)

Not bad at all...We didn't actually go into the hotel this time, but the first night we were wandering around outside the hotel looking for the YC quiet pool, and ended up walking onto the Dolphin Property to get back on the path to the pool. So, from the Yacht Club at least, it's a quicker walk than Epcot (although, I don't know where in the hotel the car rental is located...Like Yacht/Beach Club, Swan and Dolphin is a pretty big complex!

Just curious for those that are there now; is the current bounceback offer only good until the end of this year or does it go into 2014? We arrive at BC in 26 days, Can't wait!!!

I asked this on the resturant boards b/c my DD Loves mickey waffles and isn't a huge of of eggs (actually she hates them lol). A father told me he walks over to Captain's Grille and (this is where I am a bit confused) and does he pay a buffet price? And then asks for a carry out container and he just throws a half dozen mickey waffles in the bag for his family and brings it up to their room. And he said he wasn't the only person doing this?

So I guess the question is...is it ok to do this ? On one hand you are paying one price for "buffet" but feeding your family with mickey waffles, but you are only taking a few? Not even sure how much the buffet is. Anyone ever heard/done this?

We are also bringing cereal and bagels for DD b/c our food options are pretty limited she doesn't like eggs and has a peanut/tree nut allergy so breakfast over at the boardwalk bakery probably wouldn't be safe for her.

Also anyone know how much mickey waffles are from room service? And how long does it usually take for them to bring it up?

Captains grille has a buffet but also has a regular menu. They just may have ordered the Mickey waffles from the menu to go?

When I was there last week, it was good only for 2013. :sad1: I had to do some digging in the Be Our Guest folder (I think that's what the navy blue folder in the room was called) to find it. It was in the center of the biggest booklet.

Ok, dilemma time.

It's not really a bad thing...in fact it's a nice problem to have. ;)

I have an AP that is set to expire on 8/22, or rather, that is my "Anniversary Date."

We currently have 2 WDW trips planned for the upcoming year. :lovestruc

We'll be at YC from Dec 4-8.
Then we'll be at BC from 8/17/14-8/23/14.

Perhaps in looking at all the dates, you've figured out my problem.

I can renew my current AP at a discounted rate ($95 back in my pocket), if I do it within 30 days of my anniversary date (8/22). The "problem" is, my trip next year is scheduled to run until 8/23...leaving me with one day with no park tickets. I'm trying to decide if it's worth $95 to not go to a park on my last day. I'm a big fan of flying out late on my last day, sooooo...I'd have to busy myself in SAB, or going to DTD etc. all day. It will be so hard not to sneak back into Epcot for a Grey Goose or a German wine flight! The 23rd next year is also a Saturday, so there's the smallest chance we may extend as I won't need to be back to work until Tuesday......meaning we could possibly stay until Monday.

Argh...decisions...decisions....

Thoughts?

I know you save $95, but I'd wait until Dec trip for new AP. then you'd have an extra 4 mos on it which may be more valuable than $95! Then you can go back in Dec 2014 prior to APs expiring.... My AP will expire in May 2014 & I was not a big fan of may so thinking of waiting to renew with a fall trip. Thoughts?

Our cable company is running a contest right now to win a four night trip to the Beach Club next year during the Flower and Garden Festival. You can enter daily. My fingers are crossed that this is one we win.

I'm keeping my eyes crossed for you.....and trust me, that's a LOT OF EYES!!!!

Signed, Buzzy the lucky Fly

It looks like you'll be able to book a free dining bounce back during your stay. Here is some of the conversation from the discounts forum:

Ok, I just called the bouceback number listed on the "current" bounceback offer which is 407-939-1923. I asked what the current offer was. The CM started to tell me about the room discount offers which have been in effect at least since I was at POFQ in April. I then asked about a free dining offer for next year. Then he said oh, yes that is available too. Booking dates are August 1 to November 15, 2013 for stays from August 20 to Sept 29,2014. Values with QS, Mods with DDP. I didn't ask about deluxe so not sure. There may be exclusions too like LM rooms at AOA. I didn't ask. I specifically asked if he was sure that it started on August 20th since that is a Wednesday and seemed odd, and he said yes, that he didn't make the dates he just read the information off his sheet !
I just called again to ask a couple more questions, different CM. Same information. bounceback for free dining starts on Wednesday August 20th next year. Exclusions include three bedroom villas, LM rooms at AOA and the new GF villas.

Well it's good they offer fd for next year but I was hoping to get it for Jan-Feb.

It looks like January and February of 2014 will get either a room only discount or the Stay, Play and Dine Plan, just like last year. The offers are going out right now as a pin code. It should be released to the general public by October, at least that is when the Jan-Feb discounts were released last year. They didn't offer free dining in Jan-Feb 2013 to the general public or as a bounce back.

Somebody asked about Mickey mail. We are 36 days until arrival and received ours today!!

Us too - we got ours today 34 days out! Also got our MNSSHP tickets - but was a little bummed as they were not "themed" cards like we got last time - these look like regular Disney gift cards (but on the back it says MNSSHP in the bottom corner). Still excited to go - especially after reading about the Phineas & Ferb pre-parade show and the Mike/Sully dance party!!:cool1:

Mmmmm. This is a tough one. Renew or brand new ???? I love SAB so I could do a departure day if SAB and Hurricane Hannah's

If I were to book my trip again I would add a resort day. Sleep in, ride in a boat, float in SAB
Walk to Boardwalk.
