Am I the only one?

I have NO interest in trying Be Our Guest for dinner ... I get that it's a new restaurant and everyone is going nuts over it partly because of that, but the dinner menu just doesn't interest me at all. The lunch menu looks better, in my opinion.

I know the reviews are mixed, but I just looked at the menu for the first time and it looks good to me.

We are doing lunch as well, and i agree with you about the menus. i also don't really understand all the angst over not getting ADRs for dinner...at least they gave you option of still getting into the venue to check it out!

BUT, to each his own. Whatever makes your trip the best, then I'm all for it!

We did not even try for BOG for dinner! We are on the dining plan, and there are millions of places we have never tried! So im actually excited that we can use a QS credit, and still try it!!!

It would be nice to see the castle, but we don't want to do lunch or dinner here. Oh well. I've seen pictures on the Internet. Good enough.

I agree with you. I don't really need to try it. Maybe in a few years when it becomes "old news". For now, there are plenty of other awesome places to try!

I'm torn. I want to meet the beast, but the lunch menu does appeal to me more and I want to see the castle desperately. I've stopped trying for a dinner reservation but will try to get in for lunch.

I am sure you aren't the only one but we loved our dinner there in May. The food and service were excellent. We had no interest in meeting the Beast.
We are looking forward to our dinner there again in Nov

Well we had dinner there and have no desire to go back for dinner. From the reviews lunch is better, unless you get the steak for dinner which is what my son had. He was the only one who said his dinner was good. It was nice to see the castle and meet the beast, but all four of us said we did not feel the need to go back. Now Jiko or Yak and Yeti, those are must dos!

No, you're not the only one ;). I thought about it for our December trip, but after looking at the menu several times, there is nothing on it that is of interest to anyone in my family so we won't be going.

You are so not alone! Unfortunately for us, we do have a dinner reservation there in a couple of weeks and I'm dreading it. I only made the darn reservation because it was my youngest DD's choice for dinner on one of the nights we are there . But honestly, after looking at the menu, myself and my oldest DD have no idea what we are going to get as nothing appeals to us. We may just be getting a salad so I'm going as far as not using a TS credit for this meal and am planning to just pay OOP for this one.

I was so pleasantly surprised by this restaurant for dinner. The steak was heavenly. Loved the French beer we tried too!

We have no interest in trying it either. Menu does not look good to us at all. It doesn't seem to have many choices. I would like to see the inside of it though.

To each, his own, I suppose! We are excited to try it next month, and thought the menu looked delicious. We are also looking forward to be able to have a bottle of Sancerre with dinner there, since we were introduced to that wine in Paris last year, and really enjoyed it.

I'm with you, OP. ZERO interest.

We have so many TS restaurants that we want to do, I can't imagine choosing a restaurant that is also available as CS- particularly when the CS has better options (in my opinion.) If CS were not an option, I'd probably try to get an ADR just to see inside. We are on the DDP, and I am having a hard enough time using up my CS credits as it is, because we have so many TS we want to do. It just wouldn't make any sense for us to use TS credits for this. But to each their own.

I have to wonder if some of this is the competitive thing: "I got something that is really hard to get" sort of thing. :confused3

We are waiting for the hype to settle down some then we will try lunch there so we can save our TS credit for the other places we want to try that don't have counterservice as an option.
