We got Tuesday Oct 29th I the hope that a Tuesday would be less busy. Here's hoping. But I would definitely avoid a Friday if at all possible.

Okay am I crazy? I can do either Thursday, oct 10, Friday October 11 or Sunday the 13th. I thought Thursday would be best but that chart looks like Friday is better? I am going for characters not rides. Which of the 3 would u do?

Ummmm..... I'm not buying any of that. Makes me want to request a refund on my Touring Plans subscription because now I don't believe anything else they have to say.

Do they explain why they think Thursday of Columbus Day weekend would be worse than Friday?

That doesn't make sense to me. Any rationale given? If I were picking btwn these dates I would go for Thurs regardless.

I personally NEVER take ANY of these crowd calendars as gospel for any particular day. The rationale needs to make sense to me.

Thursday will absolutely be better than Friday. Locals will be out in full force Friday night of a 3 day weekend. Unless there's some brand new federal holiday ON Friday that I don't know about.

The only reason I can think Thursday might be worse is that people are doing the Epcot Food Festival on Friday. I would much rather go Friday but seriously doesn't it seem like Friday would be worse? Which should I do? I really am going for characters not rides...

That night will have some competition due to the Villains Bash at DHS.

We normally pick Thursday night over Friday night since we leave early Saturday morning. If we don't get in until midnight/1:00 AM Fri nite/Sat morn, we don't get enough sleep for the drive home Saturday. By staying out late Thurs night, we can sleep in Friday, normally hit Animal Kingdom for the day, and get back early evening to pack and sleep.

If I was doing MNSSHP this year, I would totally choose 9/13 for that very reason. It promises to be a pretty low attendance party. That would be my one exception to the "avoid Friday" rule. Because the very sort who love MNSSHP would love the Villains Bash at DHS even more.

If that's their reasoning then I'm still not convinced of their analysis. Thursday is always an EMH day. And I've been to a fair number of Thursday parties and never felt like it had an impact on the party crowd levels. Definitely not enough to best the Friday crowds.

I honestly don't even feel like EMH has an impact on overall daytime park crowd levels on a party day. The early close time still chases people away.
