Booking VGF on June 23rd

We got our reservation too. January 9-11, 1BR Lake View, 88 points.

Looked online and January dates available, but not able to book December dates online until 4 months out. Called and talked to MS who verified no 2013 dates until 4 months out.

I can't believe how much availability was available for January. Now, for a quick question, would you guys choose the lake view or standard?

Just got Oct 26th-Oct 31st 1bedroom standard view. Gentleman on the phone said the lines are all filled.

They have instituted a temporary booking window of 4 months out for non-VGF owners for stays between 10/23/13 and 12/31/13. That means that you will have to wait until four months out from your arrival date to book. Today you can only book October 23rd unless you are booking for stays that begin 1/1/14 or later.

That is what online says. Nice how before today when I looked it says for non members you can make ressies for 10/23-12/31 starting on 6/23. Then on 6/23 oh you can only make them 4 months out.

Was BLT the same way? Don't remember.

Guess I am trying again next week. oh well

I could have gotten those two days in a standard view also but I left them for you.

Those are the two days that we are at AKL. Hoping a waitlist comes to make it 4 days. It sure was a toss up between AKL and VGF. Glad to see you got them.

Do you think new owners already have all the studios for Christmas to new years? Is there just 47 possible one bedroom units?

I could have gotten a 1 bedroom unit but will save my points for Summer 2014
since we do not need that large of a unit.

Disneyspaz maybe a new member that is a VGF owner, if that is the case they they have the 11 month window

They must own VGF points, which are 11 months for any date.

I don't think they this would be the case currently, but by August, when more and more people will have brought in, there is a very slim chance you will find any studios.

Sorry to tell you, you really need to get an online account to stay ahead of the crowd. While you are holding, those rooms are slowly being taken by online users. In a 10-minute call an agent handles for one phone user, 100 online users can grab the same space ready.

Yes we are new VGF members that's how I was able to book for 10/26. My son owns at AKV and through his online account he can't see availability between Oct 30th and Dec 31st.

We got Jan 18-24, lake view studio. I couldn't believe how open it was either!

Odd. There has been a note about the 4 month window for VGF on my booking page since the first day VGF appeared as an option in the drop down box. It was underneath the info for 11/7 month booking. Not sure why your page didn't show the same.

We got a long weekend for MLK weekend. I called at 9 am and told the CM the web wasn't working. He said they started booking for non-owners at 9 am. I checked and it is avail on the website - availability is still there for both studio categories. And if anyone is interested, I saw a boardwalk studio as well. Happy booking and love the DVC!!

I got in too late this AM for a studio, but nabbed a 1BR SV for 1/1 - 1/4 for 107 points. I had to drive my DH to the airport and got home about 10 minutes late .

You will not want to book a studio again, once you try a 1 BR, it's worth it.
The way I look at it, if I only want a hotel room, I wouldn't need to choose DVC. I would take a 1 BR because it's like presidential suite with extra room, etc.
