Most surprising attraction?

I was surprised how much DD3 and DS5 at the time enjoyed Living with the Land. They were into it!

Years ago it was Turtle talk with Crush. I didn't expect much and it was my son's favorite attraction. I also love Living Seas exhibit. Also Pirates of the Carribean surprises me every time. I forget that it has that drop.

Finding Nemo stage show at Animal Kingdom and the People Mover ride in Tomorrowland at MK- soooo relaxing when you need a respite from crowds.

Id have to say living with the land and the animation academy. I love relaxing in the boats and the animators are really fun! DBF says monsters inc laugh floor:)

Flights of Wonder - we avoided it first few trips thinking it was 'just a bird show'. Then DD and I did it one day while DH was riding EE. When it was over we immediately went to the meeting point and dragged him back to see the next show - it was that good ! And is now a favorite 'must do' at least twice a trip!

other one is Animation Academy - who'd have "thunk" I could draw ? And have fun doing it too?!! :lmao:

Mickey's PhilharMagic
Turtle Talk with Crush
Flights of Wonder
Hoop Dee Doo Revue
Tower of Terror
It's Tough to Be a Bug
Kilimanjaro Safari
Festival of the Lion King
Ellen's Energy Adventure
O Canada (Martin Short)

I agree about O'Canada. The first time we saw this (a couple of years ago), I had no idea that Martin Short was the narrator/star of the show. During that trip, DH and I decided that we were going to really take in all that each of the Pavilions had to offer, including all of the different films, plus it allowed the kids to learn about the different cultures and countries. Martin Short is sooo funny and ever since that first show, it has become a must do.

Another one would have to be Mickey's Philharmagic. When we first saw Mickey's Philharmagic we did it to just get out of the heat. Well, my family was blown away by it and now this too is a must do for us, we usually watch this a couple of times during a trip.

We too were all very surprised by Animator's Academy (I learned about this from all you wonderful DISers :goodvibes) we did this for the first time during our last trip and we all loved it. We learned how to draw Agent P, even I who is not artistic whatsoever, drew a very recognizable Agent P :rotfl:. Afterwards the Imagineer signed all of our drawings and we got to take a picture with him. I know we will be doing this again and again :goodvibes.

TTA, even though it's not that most thrilling ride it's one of my favorites. I love it when it speeds up and gets zippy, plus we've always gotten the best family pictures on that ride.

Mickey's PhilharMagic It's new since the last time we were there. Loved it!!
Test Track after reading all the bad reviews we still did it. Now would I have loved it as much if it weren't for my little guys laughing the whole time, I'm not sure, but we rode it twice.
The golf ball :P I love the new interactive part and like PP kids wanted to ride it again to do a different future. It was cute

Philharmagic was a surprise for my family. We'd never done it before and decided to give it try because the line was short. Pleasantly surprised by that one.

Also, The Great Movie Ride. I thought it was going to be a ride through of movie scenes, which it is, but they really nail the atmosphere of each film, there's a lot to see, and the narrator is really engaging and there's a whole story that plays out. If you haven't done this one, make sure you do!

Carousal of Progress. We finally did it and even all the kids loved it. They sing the song at dinner...

Star tours.
Not a star wars fan,but love the ride.:)

Regarding o Canada,we've seen it a couple of times and enjoyed it.

But can't watch again, since seeing Martin short in either svu/csi-he was incredibly convincing as a totally creepy character- and dd is spooked by him now.

The Great Movie Ride. Didn't even know it was a ride for the first 2 trips!! I am a big film fan and always cry and the last montage. Wish they would update though.

It's because the giant hat covers it up! Lol. I remember the line used to be kinda long for that ride, now people pass it over because you can't really see it from the main entrance. (Just my opinion)

I was wondering if anyone would mention the great movie ride! I tried to talk my kids out of going on it our first year at disney, and it has been a must do for our family every year since.

Turtle talk and Its Tough to Be a Bug for me. I am also captivated and surprised each time by Divine. Actually, almost all the theming at Animal Kingdom surprises me.
