Just as an apples to apples comparison:

14-night WBTA 9/18/10, booked opening day before 9am also, 2 adults Cat T: $4199/4199, taxes/fees $123.46, $&%^%$#@ fuel supplement (which we were not able to remove, hence the %^&$&^$) $224 for total of $8745.46

So the 2014 WBTA cruise itself is actually $329 cheaper than the 2010.

Not 100% sure we are going yet, but I have more than a year to work on hubby!

Our cruise is actually 35% discounted with the OBB discount and Hurricane Sandy discount. We were never quoted a "regular" fare for this cruise. To get a "guestimate", I'd add 35% to our price.

That data point is flawed as it is not actually 35% off. The way the system does it is it takes the original price you booked and discounts 25% for Hurricane Sandy. Then it takes 10% off for your onboard booking. Then it adds the gov't taxes. It works out to 32.5% off the cruise fare.

I was on that sailing.

We were going to book an Alaskan in August, but even with airfare this was cheaper. We will visit WDW at the beginning and spend 4-5 days in Barcelona and surrounding area. So excited. We can always do Alaska next year. I would have liked to have done the WBTA, but with my DD I figured it was easier to miss 3 weeks at the end of grade 3 rather than 3 weeks at the beginning of grade 4.
