Those are adorable Chelsea524 ... some talented people around here! I have no talents like that but I am very intrigued by the Disneybounding they were talking about in another thread- I told my girls (ages 12 & 14) and they think it sounds like fun and want to do it. I bought a Nemo style shirt at Old Navy yesterday for one and the other wants to go in all grey for Dumbo- so we found the cutest shirt for her. Another day we are doing the whole family in Alice theme- oldest dd is Cheshire cat, I am hoping to pull together Queen of Herats, dh can just go paint the roses red :thumbsup2 and dd #2 is doing white rabbit....

I loved hearing about Disney bounding in that thread, too. I'm planning an Alice theme, now, and hoping the weather will cooperate with it.

Chelsea524, that Alice dress is to die for. What beautiful work!

That is so sweet of you to buy your niece a minnie dress, I bet she loves it

I haven't gotten a pic of all of them yet but I will add a couple of the ones I do have. Any idea what you are making your DDs?

At least she will still wear the shirts! I am going to miss these trips when she is too old to dress up.
I've checked out the DISBoutiquers thread, I'm afraid I will get sucked into that one and never leave my computer once I start posting on there :rotfl:
I love going with friends, it makes such a fun trip

Here's a couple of the dresses I've made for our trip:

Sorry they are so big, I can't figure out how to make them smaller

those are so adorable! you have some great talent! yes you will get sucked in on the DISBoutique thread...they are sewing "machines" over there :)

Disney called today and asked if we were willing to move our reservations from DLH to GCH for the same great rate! Oh yeah, we love GCH!!! :cool1: Still 3/3-3/9. Thanks!

well that was a no brainer! nice getting the switch! GCH is so pretty!

Thanks! That sounds like so much fun, I will have to keep that in mind when the kids are a little older.

Lucky! We stayed at the GCH in Sept and fell in love with it but couldn't fit it in the budget this year so we are trying out the DLH, hoping to love it just as much.

we stayed there April 2010 and loved it too, but DD wanted to do DLH for her bday this year! we don't usually stay on property except for special ocassions. haven't stayed at DLH since 2005 so looking forward to the new reno!

Thanks!! I got an 8:40am slot which means we get in 20 min early. I like the idea of not using too much morning time at breakfast, although my kids will love the character time and likely couldn't care less about the ride lines :).

yay happy you got an early spot! the kids will LOVE it!

Last minute trip. Going to be there from the 1st-3rd with checking out on the 4th. Taking advantage of my new AP and being in town for doctors appointments for a Disney trip. Staying over at the Courtyard.

:welcome: yay for getting an AP, happy you get to add on some fun along with the dr appts

I will be there March 4-7 and staying at the Fairfield Inn. All of my trips before have been in the fall and I'm excited to see Disney in a different season. :)

Thanks and slight change to the dates. Arriving and checking in on the 28th. Excited to take advantage of the AP Extended Hours.

And trust me after last week's mess of doctors appointments, a double dose of Disney (going to be at WDW for the Princess the weekend before my CA trip) is exactly what I need.

Hey March Board- lots of new people have joined us~ yea! If you want you can use this: http://www.scribd.com/doc/120351533/March-Mickey-Head to wear on your diaper bag/backpack to identify yourself as a March Dis board member! You can print, cut and glue to card board or print on cardstock.

After months and months of it seeming so far in the future- it is finally getting time to think about what to wear, what foods to pack, where to stop for breakfast on the way down... :cool1:

I can not believe we will be in Disneyland in 24 days. I put in an order for a t shirt for everyone and also a gift card so my sister and BIL can buy a pair of mouse ears. I am going to put there bags together a day or two before we go.

Yikes! We almost let the cat out of the bag yesterday (we're surprising our kids). Dh actually said "...when we go to Disney...." right in front of them! He immediately said "I mean, to Seattle" and they totally did not even bat an eye but how are we going to keep this a secret for another 30 days... AHHHHH!

Good luck keeping the secret. We surprised our kids on Xmas day with a trip to DL that day -- we had kept the secret for 8 months!! I still can't believe we didn't blow it. The kids know we will go again this year, but don't know when, and we are going to tell them that morning that we'll be going.

I will be taking my kids DS8, DD7 and will be in the parks March 25-28.

This is my second trip with the kids as a single Dad. We had a blast Thanksgiving week, and am expecting similar crowds next month.

My fingers are crossed their mom allows me to drive the kids down Sunday night from SF area, but as of now she claims its harder on the kids. I really want the full day on Monday, and don't particularly like leaving at 4AM, and hit the morning commute, plus lose a couple of early park hours. The kids told me last night she is considering it if they aren't sick. So I booked a night at CCI for Sunday just in case :cool1:

We will be at Desert Inn &Suites 3/25 to 3/28 and I am so excited. My Mom is going with us, and I rented her a scooter

I know, my screen name is lame......

Same days as ours! Cross your fringers that their mom will agree with your plan ;)

We're going at the very beginning of March, in the parks the 1st through the 4th, leaving the 5th, right before (hopefully) the worst of the Spring Break crowds. We're celebrating my partner's 40th birthday--and he's never been to DLR (or any Disney park!), or even California, so I'm really looking forward to his reaction to it all. I'm very familiar with DL and at least the old version of DCA, and I've kind of been this trip-planning dervish for the past few weeks to make sure his 1st experience is a great one.

We're staying at the HoJo (also and old fave of mine), and planning to spend part of one or part of a couple of days doing a mad-dash tour of L.A. (Probably up the 5 and 101 to Hollywood & Highland, then the view from the Griffith Park Observatory, then down Santa Monica Blvd. so he can see the Pacific.) Though I'm secretly hoping he won't want to leave the resort ;-)

What a special trip!! Enjoy, and get lots if pics.

DH and I have successfully kept our staying at PPH a secret from the kids and my ILs (who are going with us). We've watched the vacation video so many times, and it's all I can do to not blurt out "we're staying there" when the kids see the hotel. I cannot wait to pull up to the hotel and surprise them. We'll pack swimsuits for sure.

Thanks! I bought the advance PhotoPass+ package to make sure we have lots of on-ride photos and in-park photos of both of us together. Haven't used the service before, so hoping it's a good experience.

I got it when I went in October and was very happy with it. I also preordered it for when we go in March. If you do character meals you also get those pictures included. That is the main reason why we got the PP+.

I don't know how you did it for that long! I love planning the surprise but it's not easy. We're hoping to cross the border and hit the Seattle airport before telling them (if the border guard allows it). They think we're spending a week in Seattle. :goodvibes
