Poor baby is definitely being admitted. I feel like a crap mom because I will have to have my mom stay with him so I can take care of Lily overnight and come back in the morning. I'm so sad right now.

aww, sorry to hear that Dani you are definitely NOT a crap mom, you are doing the best you can, and a great job at that!! You love your kids to the moon and back and that's apparent to anyone who has been blessed to know you! so.....is there any way Grandma can stay with Lily and you could stay with Danimal??? just a thought....but I don't know the relationship dynamics or if your little one is still nursing or not, etc....etc.....
Hope it is not a long stay and he's feeling right as rain quickly!

You are a fabulous mom!!! Perfect!! You have 2 little ones...I bet Danimal will love have his grandma with him...what does he call her? Lily still needs you - I know it doesn't make it any easier, but you are not leaving him alone, sweetie, but in the hands of someone who loves him very much. Will be thinking of you all tonight and sending lots of PD.

Saving a grand, and yet staying in a Royal Room sounds like a win win!! I know $249 is fabulous for the Poly - a couple of yrs ago I had a pin and the Poly was $246 including tx, but we did not stay there...as much as I love the Poly - and you know it is my home - if we could stay in a brand new room(which would be so much fun for the girls!!) with a great code, I'd go for it...and I'd book a River View. (I have a thing about River View at the PO Resorts).

Here's my concern - the Poly is in need of a refurb and with high expectations it is easy to be disappointed. Even I'd probably (probably, not definitely ) not stay there until a refurb....But a brand new Royal Room!!

My 2 cents....

At our house, hubster has figured out my Disney changin' tell. Apparently if the website is up, scratch paper at the ready, and I have a calculator I'm in the middle of a possible change....or so I was told.

Well, I broached the topic with DH via text this morning (though I could still feel his eye roll...and he flat out said that if I change anything about our reservations, he will take that $1000 saved dollars and purchase Ted Williams and Bobby Orr autographs with it...so choose...dream vacation or his dream autographs... I'm guessing you know how this will turn out. I love my DH, he always knows how to put things into perspective.

Jeez, we have been having similar thoughts! I also was trying to talk DH into switching again last night. Two rooms at POP looked interesting, and fun for the kids too. BUT, he is approaching meltdown status with my suggestions! As we approach July (when trip has to be paid off) I am thinking of how nice it would be to know that it is paid off now!! Oh well, your DH is right, and mine. Also there is always next year....right??

I know but....the extra $$ would help to upgrade us to AP's, and get us MNSSHP tix no problem. But he wouldn't even let me get that far . Oh well, it is going to be our 10th anniversary trip so I guess I just need to relax and...oh yeah...KEEP SAVING!!!

Hi RCers. Hope you all had a nice weekend. Whew, while in NC we almost came back to FL on the Poly bandwagon, with a YC/Poly split stay in August. But... even though DN said she would try a split-stay for “we 3”, we know she truly dislikes them and also the crowded Poly pool, and this is HER big vacation of the year. So “we 3” caved. And actually our plus and minus column tilted back to Epcot Resorts anyway for this particular trip, especially since we did take cancel 'Ohana last week. But.... because of the pool situation at Poly being a big turn-off for DN for a long vacation, she decided that she and I need just a short stay at Poly for a weekend. Uh.... ok... just say when.

Okay, what the heck is "shooting some Easter Eggs"? I hate to have to wait until next week when Magic returns to find out

Your trip is almost here!!!! About this urban girl & Easter Eggs... we hard boil & color them nice and pretty as we always have, but then we put them out on the bank off our front porch and we shoot them (like bright little targets) with a 22 rifle. When in the mountains... And no worries about waste because the woodland critters have the egss “cleaned up” in no time flat.

Doesn't he know that we don't even need excuses for switching resorts? ....My DS asked where we were booked and I told them YC and my DH says "I thought we had decided on Poly this year”.

I had a dream last night that we were staying in Bldg 14 at POR. What does it mean I wonder? Guess I will go price out a trip at POR. ... I did check POR for preferred rooms for the dates we would book during FD but was not available. ...I am really leaning towards booking a BWV Studio from 9/29 to 10/5 for the FD. I can always change it later ... Hurry up June and get here so I can book my trip!HAPPY EASTER TO ALL!!!

I hope your Easter was peaceful. Bldg 14 in POR = aaaahhhhhhh for us. Keep trying at POR if that is calling to you. They remove HUGE blocks of rooms from inventory for “possible” CONVENTIONS, but then they RELEASE these rooms closer to you date. We know this for a fact. ...But of course, that BW room idea is a keeper, too. So which way are your sails currently blowing?

If you can save several hundred $$ by staying GF GV, request Boca Chica, 3rd floor, end facing Narcoosee's (sp)...heck, it will be an obstructed TPV(no castle), but it is a great so called GV! Lagoon, entrance to MK..be still my heart. ....It's killing me that I will not be able to afford to stay at my beleoved home resort when I go with my friend Rosie ....lack of good codes makes it out of reach for my SS budget.

Congrats on a WDW trip in December for you!!!!!!! Where are you and Rosie staying???? ........Thanks for the info on that sweet GF room. I will put it away in my “soon” file.

Next trip we will do just the regular DP. I like the GF idea except I know we would still be checking out the prices on the menu if we went that route and I want to avoid that.

We have TIW, but just once I'd like to consider price on a WDW menu. As much as I say I won't let it sway my dinner decision, I know it does anyway.

I have probably taken some liberties using the word "dirty", but wouldn't be surprised if that word has been used...but, peoples perspectives vary, and again I am willing to see for myself.
With that being said, I AM IN DOUBLE DIGITS!!!!! 99 DAYS TO GO!!!!!

Some peeling wallpaper in the bathrooms (twice) won't ruin my overall trip. And speaking of Poly, I just read on Tikiman that a building or two was refurbed in 2010 Did I miss this or did I mis read this????? ...Congrats to you on double-digit dancing!!!!

Chimo the Poly makes me think of a resort we stayed in while on our honeymoon in Hawaii. It was the hotel where They filmed "Blue Hawaii" The resort had lots of longhouses and a ceremonial house. It was called the coco Palms. In true Disney form, the Poly is very authentic Hawaiian decor. I'm still a bit worried about the pool. I did go to that site and, sure enough, someone posted that the pool and beach are very crowded every night and that people take liberties. I like how YC/BC makes sure that the pool is used by guests only. That would be the only thing that would make me switch back to YC. Still thinking but I've been dreaming about staying at Poly lately.

Yes, so many peeps don't get the “original” Hawaii thing about Poly decor. WDW is always true to their historical research, and I applaud them. It is one of my favorite parts of going to WDW, actually. Sadly, Poly did start a wristband/room check thing for Volcano Pool sometime later 2011 but now it hasn't been enforced AT ALL again. According to some, the Pool Hopping and “7am towel laying” to secure chairs is the #1 complaint at Poly.

Never fear!! I don't think it comes up when you use the iPhone app to post. I'm at 24 days until POR and 27 days until YC!!

I think maybe they feel its "dirty" because brown is the main color...you hear this comment alot with WL too...so I feel that people equate dark with dirty? I really just need to find out for myself, then I can stop wondering...and it's already paid off...and would be such a pain to switch...and then my DH would spend the savings on sports memorabilia...
