I don't see an official July 2012 thread yet!

Anyone else going in July!? We'll be a party of 8, staying at OKW from 7/9 - 7/16!

We are going in July also. July 16-18 @ the Poly and July 18-22 on the Dream.

Count us in for July!!! We are there from 7/15-7/25 at the Beach Club!!! Now, I'm just waiting for 1/17 so I can make all of my ADR's and then just breath until trip time!!!

I'm waiting for January 11th so I can do our ADRs! I can't wait for them to be booked so I can relax a little bit!

Someday...we WILL take a Disney Cruise! haha! We always say "maybe we'll do a cruise next year..." and then we decide to just stay in WDW instead!

Hopefully we will enjoy the cruise as much as Disney. I am a little concerned about that, but we're going in September for a Disney only trip so I am okay either way. :goodvibes

I hear ya!!! I just want to make sure we get all the ones we want...my family definitely has its favorites and now that it's my girls 3rd trip, they really know what they like, so it's like more pressure to get the ones they want!!! Le Cellier is their favorite!! Then, once I get those taken care of...I will try and focus on losing a few pounds (or 20) :rotfl2: before my trip.

Oh, and hello fellow New Englander!

simba22 -- looks like you have done July before...I have, but it was when I was little, I just remember it being HOT, but hey, we were at Disney!!! I am slightly worried about the heat factor and crowds...we are used to going at ANY time but summer (typically winter or fall)...can you tell me your recent experience with July???

You will! Everyone I know that has been on a Disney Cruise STILL talks about how wonderful it was. I just wish they were't so dang expensive!

Why hello, neighbor!
I'm slightly nervous about ADRs because I've been reading about the new cancellation policy....apparently, the ones that require a CC guarantee are now EASIER to get (so the signatures and the character meals shouldn't be a problem), but it seems that people are giving up the restaurants that require the CC and moving to places that don't....so places that would normally be EASY to get into, like Y & Y and The Plaza, are getting harder to get now...

And YES! I am officially back on the Weight Loss Bandwagon effective TODAY! I tried to start back in July 2011, so that I would have a full year...and all I wanted to do was lose 1lb per week....That did NOT happen. I don't think I GAINED...but I definitely didn't LOSE. So that is my main focus from now until July! I put a big sign on my closet door that says "If it doesn't fit by July 8th, DONATE IT!" Since half of the clothes in there are clothes I bought to wear to Disney (2 or 3 years ago, and they never fit), I'm hoping that the thought of giving them away will motivate me!

Honestly, it was HOT. But September was WAY worse, IMO... and not for nothing, but the last two times we went in October, it was in the 90s every day. The difference will be the rain. In July, it pretty much rains every day for about an hour or so. I remember it did the same thing the year I went in September. In October, the weather was gorgeous, just hot. We're planning to take afternoon breaks, either by going back to OKW for a swim, or by taking a TS lunch instead of dinner. Hopefully that will avoid crankiness!

We have always gone in July also. It is HOT but we have been in June and September/October and they were hot too. July had more pop up thunderstorms and more tour groups. Ha ha! But it is not bad enough for us to keep us from going. We really don't mind the heat. I would just recommend that you do a lot of rests and breaks in the mid afternoon. That is when it is the most brutal. Go early to the parks. Take advantage of EMH and rope drop. We get the most done in the early mornings especially with our small ones. Pool or relax I'm the afternoon and then head back to the parks in the evening.

Usually we go pretty commando style, but factoring in the heat, we are planning on sometimes hitting a park early in the a.m., then back to SAB for the afternoon, fairly early dinner ADR and then head to EMH park for the night. My girls are great at staying up late, (they have done EMH's until 2 am before), and so we are planning on getting most of our park time at night this time around. Does that sound like a reasonable plan??

We always do July and We Love It!!!!

I'm making my reservations tomorrow - it looks like we'll be at The Dolphin July 16-18 and then BC July 18-29!!!!

I think you will love BC - it is our favorite resort!!!!
Watch the BC/YC thread - so far we've had two Mini Dis-Meets at BC.
I'll organize another one as soon as it gets closer. We've had so much
fun at the last two.

7-11 through 7-18 at the Beach Club!!

I'm thinking about staying there in 2013....have you ever stayed there before? I'm trying to figure out how easily accessible it from DHS? I know you can walk to the YC then take the boat (which also stops at the BW), but is that more reliable/faster than taking a bus??

This will be our 7th trip to the Beach Club out of 15 trips overall. There are no busses from the Beach Club to the Studios. We are in fairly good shape so we usually walk. We sometimes take the boat on the trip back, but get out at the first stop (Swan/Dolphin) and walk back to the Beach Club.

7 stays at Beach Club = Expert!!! Any suggestions for room requests...I have already stated I want a full balcony, but I'd also like to be closer to the lobby and pool, if at all possible... :confused3

Just booked July 20-26 at SSR. Did not think I would be able to convince DH to go, but it was HIS IDEA. Will be at BWV in February and I am really happy I will have another trip to look forward to :cloud9:
