More Amazing Adventures of the 2012 Disney Mom's Panel

Ugh what a day - my computer crashed at 10 this morning and I spent the afternoon at the doctor's office because my DD is sick. Finally back online after sorting out both the computer and the girlie, so thought I'd just stop in to say CONGRATULATIONS to all the R3ers for getting this far!! You guys are all mom's panelists in my book, so be proud of your accomplishments so far, no matter what the outcome is! :cheer2:

Congratulations to all the Round 3 Hopefuls for getting through your interviews. I am sure you all did a great job with your interviews and have made the decision very difficult for the judges.

I'm sure it's easier said than done, but try to relax while you wait for final news. No matter what happens, you've all done an amazing job and I'm so glad that I found this forum and was able to share in your journey. Keep that Disney spirit!

Stop by my blog at wdwalone.blogspot.com and say hi if you need a distraction from the waiting and follow me on Twitter @wdwalone!

And so the final waiting begins. :goodvibes

Kim, thanks for your lovely words, and for all you do to administer these Moms Panel threads, year after year !!! This party would certainly lose a lot of its sparkle if you were not here with us

Just popping in to say Congrats! :yay: on finishing up with your interviews! I hope you all have an easy week of wait before the final announcement :goodvibes You guys have come so far... and some of you have hardly anytime at all before heading to WDW for training!!! How cool is that!!! Anyhow, I'm excited for y'all :) Enjoy the ride & Best of Luck! :goodvibes

Congratulations to all the amazing Moms and Dads who completed their phone interviews! :-) Now comes the hardest part--waiting to find out who will be on the 2012 Moms Panel! You truly are all amazing people with such a passion for all things Disney! Having been through this selection process in the Fall of 2009, the only phrase that I can use to describe it is "a roller coaster ride"! Well this part of the ride is nearly complete and for those that become Moms, hang on tight for the next 4 weeks until training will be the busiest weeks of your entire life! I can't wait to meet you all during the training week! :-)
Keep Dreaming Big!

Just wanted to add more thoughts and hugs and pixie dust to all of you waiting for the final results. We are so thankful that you've let us share in your journey -- we hope it continues!!:cool1:

Thanks everyone for all of your wonderful words of encouragment! You guys have been so supportive and it has been an honor to get to know some of you the past few months!

Now comes the wait, while I think I may have flubbed my interview, the experience was really cool. I would panic no matter what anyone said, but they were really nice and it was like having a conversation with friends. Apart from my flubbing, I hope that they were able to see my love of Disney.

Going to have a restful weekend and nurse this darn strep throat and just be glad that I have a short wait ahead of me!! Good Luck to everyone!! It has been a wonderful roller coaster ride!

Even though I didn't move on, I am so Anxious about the final announcement! Good luck to everyone waiting!:dance3:

I'm sure my flubbing trumps your flubbing!! And I'm sure we are being a little hard on ourselves as well! Not much longer now :)

Well I triple flubbed! They must have thought I was on something the way I babbled on non stop:) I'm ok with it! I will just live vicariously through you guys! But there is still a little bit of hope maybe..... Can't wait to congratulate whoever makes it through!

I was just thinking about everyone who had their interviews this week, and I wanted to pop in and say "congrats!" on getting to the end!! I know there is another week of waiting ahead, and I can't imagine how stressful it will be. I know the anticipation anxiety was easily double, if not triple, for the 2nd round versus the 1st... so 3rd round?? :scared1: Seriously, you all should do something this weekend to celebrate being done!

And when you're feeling stressed, take a moment to look down at your feet... See those shoes you're wearing? They must be special because there are SO many of us who want to be in them this week! :worship: But we're not in them. YOU ARE! :thumbsup2

and remember we'll be waiting with you, and rooting for you!

Well it's official, we're all flubbers. Hopefully, we will be some flubbers in pretty pink polos!

OMG! All these "flubber" posts have me laughing so hard! Just ice to know I'm it alone!! And maybe you are right...maybe we'll be pink flubbers soon...lol!!

Hi Everyone!

Just got back late last night from WDW. Just wanted to pop in and congratulate everyone in R3. I'm sure your interviews were fine. I can't wait for the final announcement! I'm so happy and excited for all of you!

Okay Round 3 Superstars - yes, you're all SUPERSTARS!!! First off - congratulations on your interviews. I know a lot of you are saying you flubbed the interview, but I highly doubt that any of you did.

See, I've been sort of obsessing about why I did not make it to Round 3...Obviously I was up against some super tough competition as you all are amazing - this board just proves that - and that may be the reason I didn't move on, but I'm very curious.

As you all wait for news, I have a question for all of you...Especially those of you that applied for the specialty panels. When you did your videos, did you use a park memory or did you gear your video to the specialty you were applying for. For example - if applying for runDisney, did you use a runDisney memory or did you focus on an actual park memory - something that actually happened in the parks versus something in a race. If you applied for DVC did you focus on a DVC memory or did you tell about something that happened at the Magic Kingdom for example.

I feel really confident in my written answers - those to me were relatively easy to answer and pretty straight forward, but the video was a real challenge for me. I've never done something like that and I think that's where I might have gone astray.

I hope some of you will be able to answer this question as I can't be the only one that is wondering about things like this.

When I first found out I didn't make it to Round 3 I wasn't sure if I would apply again next year, but I love runDisney and would love to be able to answer questions for folks. I know that I would have loved someone to answer my questions before my first couple of races :). Once I got over the disappointment, I started realizing that there's no way I can not apply next year!

To those of us that didn't move on to Round 3 - what is your answer to this question? Maybe we can all help each other make a plan for next year and see where it takes us!!!

Interesting question and it will be interesting to see the responses. :)

I would love the "looked for or desired" answer to who designed the Partners statue? I mean were they looking for the designer over the sculptor or was the question just worded poorly?

Happy Saturday, everyone! Congratulations to all the finalists in finishing your interviews! :cheer2: You're all far too hard on yourselves - I'm sure you were great! I was very satisfied with my written answers, but I'm wondering about the videos as well. I pulled some footage together from my marathon trip, put in some commentary and music. I'm wondering if something simpler may have been the key. I was also thinking about not applying next year (it's such an emotional journey!), but I also love RunDisney and Disney in general and don't know if I'll be able to stay away from another try. We'll see in about ten months!

:grouphug: to all of the finalists! Can't wait to hear about the next steps in your magical journey!
