Hello

We arrived home Thursday night from the best Disneyland Paris trip ever!

Highs!!!!!!

The crowds excluding Sunday wow that was very :crowded:

The weather was dry had a bit of rain on our first night but didnt put a stop to any of our plans.

Davy Crockett was perfect for us!

Cafe Mickey again was just brilliant!

Character interaction with Elsie was amazing felt my self welling up a few times :rotfl:

Lows

Only thing apart from having to come home is the smoking I really don't see why they bother with designated smoking areas when every one smokes where ever they feel they want too and CM's do nothing to stop it

Elsie saying her first words :lovestruc

I intend to do a very heavy photo filled TR but moved house yesterday and busy busy busy unpacking!

Wow what a busy time of it you're having :goodvibes! Aw what was Elsie's first words - and how magical that it was at Disney .

I feel like this one is for me !!

Since 2009, the Walt Disney Company have specifically asked that all Disney parks should now be operating a non smoking policy.
Furthermore in France, there is a law called "loi Evin". It has been originally voted in 1991 and was supposed to be applied progressively until 2008.

Therefore, stickers have been posted to all and every entrance of restaurants, shops, attractions and show places explaining that the French Law is banning smoking in all public areas (a queue line is considered as a public area) threatening to be fined (around 70 Euros if you are caught in these premises being smoking). I must be clear : control can be made by State Agents and not Disney. Disney wouldn't be authorised to fine his guests. Control have never been done since. Nowhere in Disney.

When this came first in place, our duty was to explain to smokers that dedicated smoking area where situated in different places of the park and that they were free to used it.

I recognize that the application of the rules is supposed to be our responsibility but even if we are supposed to give the best magical experience to all of our guests, we are just basically human being and I really fear that I could, one day, be in front of a man who punch me because I dare asked him to stop smoking.

As for me, I swear I tried harder & do my best to ask at the beginning of the rule application, and I totally understand smoking stinks for those of you who want to avoid health problem related to tobacco but as far as at some point guests are narrow minded and selfish (even not thinking of children & kids breathing their bad toxins), that I actually stop asking all the times.

I could honestly do this all day long and I prefer to bring magic than to be
the one who is the bad villain which does not allow me to do what I want because I've paid and therefore can do what I want

(nicest version by the way) :rolleyes1

EDIT : Sorry I forgot : Weeeelllllcccooooommmmee home :yay:

Welcome home
Great that you had such a fantastic trip and that Elsie said her 1st words!!

Hi guys I have started a TR if any one is interested the link is in my signature

Welcome home... Sounds like you had a great trip. I agree with you on the smooking thing. Why can't people just go to the smooking areas, instead of smooking in the streets, in line and everywhere else??? The problem is that in France you can't forbid people to smoke outside, you can ask them, but not put a sign up saying No Smooking. As long as it's outside, it's allowed.
