Changes to Passes Issued By Resorts

As the Resort computer systems are being switched over from the Disney Property Management System (DPMS) to the new system called LILO (and I don't know what it is an acronym for, if anything) it is being done on a phased-in basis.

You can tell if the new system is in place in your resort if the first three digits of the ticket number are "076" as DPMS has all tickets start with "079".

You will be able to purchase new Annual Passes at the Resort. You will not be able to do renewals or use the Florida Resident Monthly Purchase Plan. They will be on a separate card from your room key, and will be on the Resort hard plastic stock.

If you have a room only reservation, on the KTTW it will state "ROOM ONLY".

Once all the Resorts are switched to LILO I will make changes to the ticket sticky.

In a few weeks when I am the Boardwalk Inn would I be able to switch my current Annual Pass onto one of the Resort hard plastic stock cards.

a. I don't have an answer for that.

b. The resorts are being phased in. If the resort you are at has switched over to LILO you may be able to do it.

I was able to pick up my new Annual Pass this past August while staying concierge at the Yacht Club. I was turning in a voucher I had purchased in March. They gave me the pass on the regular "paper" the passes have always been on. I didn't ask for a hard plastic one, but neither did they offer.

1) This is more of a change than people realize.
2) This is absolutely huge, huge, huge !
3) The interface changes a little, but the database is the BIGGIE.

4) The DPMS system was built for 1960's Las Vegas resorts.
5) It was only slightly modified for Disney; mainly the screen appearance.
6) There have been several upgrades, but no real change.
7) The new system is supposed to get away from the Vegas database style.
8) This is why the staggered phase-in.
9) Let's all hope things as as well as IT-Dept plans.

Let's hope it works better than the website upgrade that "lost" everyone's ADRs!

That will be great! I hope Pop Century is phased in by Dec. 18. :) I always hated to have to wait to buy my AP somewhere else when checking in and putting other family member's tickets on the room cards.

Thanks!

We are AP holders. Our home DVC resort is Boardwalk. Does this mean we can transfer our APs to the boardwalk hard card stock if we wish?

Doubt it.

The AP's will be issued on separate cards from the Room Key-card.

If you have a room only reservation, on the KTTW it will state "ROOM ONLY".

One of the big reasons, no doubt, is that the Room Key-Card would have the "valid dates" printed on it (for the resort stay) but then, (afterwards) the AP would not have its valid dates printed on it... and currently, all AP's do feature those dates.

I have a feeling that Mickey'sApprentice is not looking to get their AP added to their KTTW card but to get it put on a plastic card instead of a Tyvek card. It goes back to the paper(Tyvek) vs plastic discussion.

Some people may now want to replace their Tyvek tickets with plastic tickets under the belief that they will last longer and not get "de-magnetized". Time will tell whether or not they will do this.

So will the AP be hard plastic then?

I dont think i can get my APS at the hotel because we are upgrading our GAD tickets.

so for the average vacationer on a regular tickets included package will this really change anything?

LILO and Stitch. Of course.

Because like all IT people they are expecing Stitch to wreak havoc on the new system as it goes live.
