Soarin' does not have a Mile High Club! Trip report- 8/20 final chapter.

How many days of camp do they have? For some reason I am thinking two weeks.

I dropped them off on Monday and pick them up July 11th. I have a bunch of photos on Facebook- I should post some here. I am also working on an update. DH is making dinner then we are going to the store. :lmao:

Well, close to two weeks. How nice of DH to make dinner. And think of how fun to go to the store with out the kids.

It's exactly 2 weeks even to the hour. DH cooks every night he is not at the station. He is a far better cook than I am.

We are going to return a camera and buy the dogs a liittle pool. :rotfl2: I need help.

Scotty uses the excuse that I won't let him cook but he never wants to cook when I want or need him to.:rolleyes1

I hate going to the store to return things and some stores are worse than others. Recently I was at CVS and they charged me over double for the things I bought and they treated me like I was a criminal over the whole thing. I haven't been back.

:rotfl: Silly rabbit!

I hate that! I am sure there are people who scam them but for the most I think people are honest. We had to go to Walmart and return one of the digital cameras we bought the kids for camp as the flash didn't work. DH tried to return the day after we bought it and the lady gave him all kinds of grief so I did it yesterday no problem. I think 3/4 of it is the mood the person is in. :rolleyes1

Sorry I am slacking on an update. DH and I ended up watching a movie last night. Today, after work, we are going to swim and BBQ and have a margarita. :thumbsup2

Hope everyone has a great July 4th weekend! :grouphug:

I operate with the belief that most people are good. And you are right that it depends on the mood of the person working. I can imagine DH was pretty ticked off. I would have been.

Enjoy this alone time with DH. Time alone when you have kids is rare and should be enjoyed.

Chimayo and Duke's are both on the beach! :thumbsup2 The other two are on Main St across PCH.
Yeah! Thanks for the info! Getting very excited for our trip but October 2 seems so far away! I guess I shouldn't complain though, heading to Disneys HHI in August for a couple of days. Just can't wait to get to DL though!

The original plan: Tuesday 6/15:
DL: 8 am-mid DCA: 10-10 MM 7-8

• Disneyland by 6:30 for MM at 7 am, Fantasyland if we skipped it on 6/13
• Toontown
• Blue Bayou
• Jedi at either 2:25 or 3:30
• Cafe Orleans
• F! at 10:30

What actually happened................:rotfl2:

Soooo………guess who didn’t make MM or Toontown? ::yes:: Yup, us! We also bagged Blue Bayou, Jedi, Café Orleans, and F! :lmao: Why do I even plan? I was talking to DH last night about WDW and he said that next time we are going to do 2 days on and then take a day off, lather, rinse, repeat. I have to say I agree with him because looking back, although we didn’t follow the original plans, we seemed to go-go-go and didn’t really get to enjoy the GCV like we planned. We are thinking WDW for December (or at least that is what I am thinking) and we’ll do it his way.

We also discovered that the GCV had BBQs and as most of you know, Disneyland’s food gets a little old so we decided that we would BBQ lunch/dinner the next couple of days. Michael ran to the store the day before, during the power break, and grabbed burgers, dogs, fruit, and chips. :teeth:

Anyway, we slept in a little but still made it to Disneyland by about 8:30 am. Did the whole Splash, Indy, Space FP gig and did some things we hadn’t like Autopia:

After a fun-filled morning at Disneyland we headed back to the GCV for a swim and a few drinks.

To be continued………………..

I love that you can grill and see the rides that close to each other. I think I may revamp my plans to do 2 days on and 1 day off. My dh would kill me if we ran, ran, ran on our vacation. Back to the drawing board I go. We are there long enough that we can still do alot. (I added 2 more days while you were on vacation and bought our tickets too.)

I like that you guys relaxed and didn't stress too. I enjoyed our trip so much more for relaxing.

:goodvibes I am but today was a little hard. I got letters from the kids. Now mind you Joshua looks happy in every single photo, like really happy and in his letter he asked me to come get him. I think he might have been hesitant that first morning when he wrote the letter but even our rabbi said he is having the time of his life. Little beast! ;) Gabby's letter was informative but a little tmi to share. Chloe's however did make me a little sad. She said she cried, which I know is true. :guilty:

Both places are excellent but I like Chimayo a little better.

HHI looks like SO much fun. :thumbsup2

October is such a great time for Disneyland. The HMH overlay is the best. :cloud9:

Isn't that great?! We could see the BBQ area from our balcony too. I swear we couldn't have asked for a better location for our villa. :lovestruc I loved watching the final nightly WoC from the deck and listening to the music too.

Oh that is so sad. Poor you. And poor them. Sometimes it's so hard to be a parent. I know your first instinct is to get in the vehicle and going to get them. :grouphug: I am feeling for you.

After our swim and BBQ we headed back to Disneyland and stayed until closing. It was not busy and we did all the biggies and then some. The following are all from my cell phone.

This is line for HM. ::yes:: Nate is laying down in the line. Everyone was waiting for F! and I am sure the WoC. Notice the churro- they were hot and fresh and oh so good!!!!

We always try to ride BTMRR during the fireworks. Here is why:

There is something amazingly magical about the fireworks for me and riding BTMRR during them is awesome! Once I watch them from the hub, this is the only way to fly. pixiedust:

It is but I know I can't. I also know they are having a great time now but that stung!

Theres a grill over at DCA? o.o I would like to know more about this, might have some good eats there. =3

Enjoying your report, I thought you stayed at Marriott the whole trip. Had to check it out because our room at GCH is so expensive, even with the 40% off. I am sure it will be so worth it though. Your DVC room looks amazing.
Your family is very sweet, hope your kids are starting to settle into the camp routine. My DH and I are pretty much empty nesters, it is a big change, be we enjoy each others company.
