Black Bear Sighting?

I'd pack heat, those bears can be dangerous.

You'd have to be packing some serious heat! Shooting at a black bear just makes them mad. You shouldn't try shooting a black bear with anything less than a moose rifle. I don't know about the types of guns Americans hunt with, but I'm sure someone will comment.

Besides that, I'm pretty sure that I don't want to be camping at Disney with my kids beside someone "packing heat"

It's ok. I slept at a Holiday Inn Express last night.... I'll take my chances wif da bear.

You will NEVER believe this. Earlier this evening the black bear was at my site begging for beer!! It seemed he forgot to ice his down. He also sat in my chair & at my pic-i-nic table and started talking about TT's, toy haulers, 5'ers & pop-up's. I grew suspicious when he started talking about stealing beer from Gatordad. The bear looked a LOT like Donnie.

Did Donnie perform miracles like those only seen in the Bible. Start out with 6 beers, and drink all night......

Oh....and Id say you have about as much of a chance of spotting an actual bear at the fort as you do of winning the lottery. Heck....Ive never even seen a raccoon at the fort!

You know what's strange? I've seen deer, squirrels, rabbits, armadillo, lizards, owls, bats, eagles, a bobcat (once), alligators, snakes, turkeys, peacocks, roosters & chickens (back in the 70's - but I saw a lot of things in the '70's) cardinals, blue jays, ducks, egrets, herons, fish, these damned cute oversized chipmunks, AND otters! But I have NEVER seen a raccoon!! Disney must have a pact with the raccoons to stay off their property.

Well, I've seen a horsefly. I've seen a dragonfly. I've seen a housefly. But I ain't ever seen an elephant fly!!

I didn't bring my USB for my camera - but Wynottah has a little brother now. So, total otters at Ft.W at this very moment, in my motor home.... is THREE!! Wynottah, Oscar, & Whattabotta. I just sent an email to Miller Brewing Company asking them to please start distributing "mini beers" so my otters can hold them more easily. Whattabotta's just a little guy and a 12 oz beer is a little more than he can hold. Oh.....he can handle the volume - otters are notorious for consuming copious amounts of beer - it's just a little hard for him to hold a 12 oz beer can.
