Disney ABC page swap- Sign ups May 5th

I have been gathering info and some ideas for this swap and wanted to get some ideas/opinions on a few things. Any suggestions are very much welcomed, because I would like this to appeal to as many as possible.It is a very time consuming and money intense swap, so it will take a great deal of time and dedication.

This time around I wanted to add an extra twist to this swap. Everyone who joins will choose 2 letters and will do 15 pages. You say "why 15 pages per letter choice"?. I wanted us to donated 2 completed albums (I have already bought both) to my local (which is 3 hrs away) Make A Wish chapter. We did this with the autograph MAW swap I hosted about 2 yrs ago. I thought this would be a nice way to celebrate like Disney is this year with their GAD. So basically 13 pages will go for the swap for one letter choice. Since you will be choosing two letters that will be a total of 26 completed pages. With the addition of donating 2 completed albums (one for a boy and one for a girl) that will make it 15 total completed pages per letter. I really hope you guys will join in on this swap..


First let me list some of the topics I have written down for the ABC part. I have no suggestions for "J" or "L". Any ideas would be great plus any more ideas for any other of the letters is great. When you do join and would like to do something different for your letter choice it will be fine to change just run it by me to make sure it stays with the guidelines of subject material for this ABC swap (I have questions for this subject to come).

The requirements for this swap will be the usual completed page 2 options that are given. Also I am going to add an additional option and that is to use sketches. So basically there will be 3 options to choose from to meet the page requirements.

I think it is best NOT to have restaurants, specific characters, resorts, stores, or special events in the ABC part of this swap. Those are to specific and all of us do not see all the same characters, or eat at the same restuarants.

I want to try to keep the ideas different from Rebeccas Disney ABC swap that we did last year. I will find the link to her swap, so we can try not to duplicate the same subject material as that one was last year. A few questions on subject matter for the abc's:

1. Do you want to add lands and/or rides? Is that to specific?
I believe this will be to specific. So general disney it will be
2. With the sketches option... Would you like me to add different sketches you can choose from or would you like to choose your own from the pagemaps.com link?
I may just have several to choose from. This way I can make sure they are compariable to the other option and contain a place for journaling and several photos. However if you do have a sketch that you would like to do just email/pm to make sure it will be up to par with the others.

3. Would you like additional groups of 4 to have catagories for resorts, restuarants, stores, or specific characters(rebecca has a autograph complete page swap, so this may not be a good choice) and we just completed special events pages a few months back?
I will just keep it at the abc part since there is extra with the MAW books. This way there is not sensory overload.
4. Do we want a title and ending page? That would require a total of 14 swappers?
Still thinking on this. I do like 123SA suggestion and have it if there is an additional swapper that wants to join after all the abc spots are filled.
Also if anyone has suggestions for subject material under any letters please tell me. I can add it. I definetly need some for "J" and "L".

nah, we can catch those in other swaps. The more general the better. The only exception might be the Fab 5 or something.

nah, let's stick to just the alphabet. Especially if we are doing MAW books.

Probably have sign ups on May 7th and the due date will be Aug. 20. That will give us 3 1/2 months to complete this swap. Since it is a big one that should really help everyone to make sure they have the time to complete it.

I am planning to join.

1. Lands: I can always use MK lands, the others not as much, but I can make it work.
Rides: I like them, but if we are giving them to MAW, any kids under 40inches can't ride the headliners....

2. Sketches: I love them. I would like to use one. I don't mind finding my own. However, my concerns: are all sketches equal? Do you need to include your sketch so people know the photo size? (Do we want MAW people to have to measure the spots?) Do we have to pick a sketch with a 4x6 photo or a certain number of photo spots?

3. No extra page groups for me this time.

4. Title/end: As long as I don't have to do it, I am fine with or without. I would suggest NOT having it as an option at signups, but if you end up with an extra person who wants in, then add the spot.

I hope this doesn't come across too critical -- I think Electric Parade, Villians, and the trashcans are too specific. The electric parade would be especially hard for me to get a photo - -is that the one that goes by the monorail resorts? I don't know who Pipa is. THe villians...I always seem to find them and I could definitely use that page, but is that because I usually go to MNSSHP?

I love your MAW idea and I am looking forward to being a part of this project.

Little confused on this question AWM... sorry. So I just copied and paste page requirements (not including sketch option) and then pasted the element list. I am going to put in that as part of your element requirements that you can use an Altered letter for the first letter of your title just make sure the remainder of the title meets the requirements(see below).

Required for ONE 12x12 page

Title: topper, letter, borders, block or tag, letters on squares or other shapes
AND
Option 1: 2 places for 4x6 photos, 1 element or several small embellies, and a place for journaling visible or hidden
Option 2: 1 place for 4x6 photo and 2 or 3????? places for smaller photos, 1 element or several small embellies, and a place to journal
Option 2: choose a sketch from pagemaps.com or another sketch site.

Element list:
Title = standard 8x2 topper (other sizes are okay), welded and shadowed letters, letters on squares, circles,mini tags or other shapes, a large title tag, title on a box, borders, photo mat, altered CD.
1 paper piecing (not a single layer diecut)
2 photomats for a 4x6 photo, 2 layers, smallest layer 4 ¼ x 6 ¼, embellished
2 journal boxes, total of 3 layers, minimum writing space 3x3, embellished
2 tags (or 1 large tag—greater than 2x3), 2 layers, something in the hole and embellished
