Your Celeb Sightings?

Probably 15 years ago or so I literally ran into John Stamos! It was very crowded near the castle and I got bumped into by someone and then I bumped into this man! I apologized and he turned around, smiled and said no problem! I almost fainted!

I also saw Dean Cain once during a taping of the christmas parade for TV. He was walking through Frontierland eating a hamburger! LOL!

In June of this year I saw Kevin Smith and his daughter at DCA! She and a friend were riding Mullholland Madness and he was waiting for them at the exit! No one seemed to know it was him and I only did becasue hubby is a huge fan of his!!!

OK, apparently John Stamos is a big Disneyland fan. :rotfl: He outnumbers all the other celeb sightings reported so far. :) He sounds like a nice guy, too.

Rumors are John Stamos is a HUGE DL fan.....HUGE!!!! I've only seen one celeb, she and a guy were with a plaid at the picture spot for Space Mtn, she looked soooooooooo familiar but DBF and I could not place her, they turned around and walked right back up the exit and rode again, when they came back (we were sitting at the exit waiting for the girls to get off the ride) the looked again and DBF and I realized who she was...Selma Blair from the Hellboy movies. :) She looked so familiar because we'd just watched Hellboy II. We didn't say anything but we did smile at her as she walked by, she smiled back and said "hi". I work with a lot of celebs so it's important to me to make them feel like "normal" people...but like I said, with Adam Sandler (or John Stamos or a few others) I'd be really hard pressed not to approach them. :) And yes, I agree that they are noticed more when they have plaids with them.

We saw Christian Bale and his family on Toy Story Mania with a Plaid. Gorgeous family...his daughter was so cute! I didn't recognize him until he took off his sunglasses and smiled. Then we knew it was BATMAN!

I've read quite a few times Christian Bale is a huge DL fan and goes quite often. :thumbsup2

We sat next to Cameron Diaz on the train. She had terrible acne! lol

We saw Jon Favreau near the exit of POTC Oct 24 with a plaid...

I had no idea who he was until DH pointed him out and told me everything he's been on..

The most exciting people I have seen (and my tongue is totally in cheek) were: the actor Paul Sorvino and his wife (Mira's parents) in Tomorrowland back in 2001, famous SoCal weatherman Dallas Raines in front of POTC with a tantruming child back in, I guess, 1994 or so, and a lady named Marilyn Grabowski (who has a Joni Mitchell kind of look to her face), who was a big deal at Playboy Magazine behind the scenes, waiting in line for Haunted Mansion back in 2001. Now just a couple of weeks ago when we were at DLR for a day trip, we were sitting in DCA and I saw a woman walk by (wearing a hat) who I am pretty sure was one of the lead actresses on "Californication" (Natasha McElhone is her name, I think). I watch that show regularly so that is how I knew her face.

We have seen all kinds of Plaids galore walking around, and now we look for them specifically to see if we can recognize anyone famous. so every time a Plaid walked by us two weeks ago, I would say, "Plaid," and we would all look. But we never saw anyone who looked even remotely familiar!!!:rotfl2:

Yes, John Stamos is a huge Disney fan and collector, owning the original Disneyland sign as part of his Disneyland memorabilia collection. But we have never seen him either, darn it:mad:. I am convinced that there are probably famous folks at DLR all the time, every day, but they can so easily blend into the massive crowds there, IF they don't travel with a Plaid, that they can stick a hat and glasses on and never be noticed. I think the ones who use Plaids are actually drawing more attention to themselves.

And, of course, most of you know that I went to DL (back in 1986) with Bret Michaels of Poison (and Robbie Crane of RATT) - way before Rock of Love, Celebrity Apprentice and all that business. (Photos in TR.)

Wow. I love me some Christian Bale. Lot of people think he's a jerk after that soundbyte of him screaming at the lighting guy on the set of Terminator made its way around...but it kind of made me love him even more.

I've only seen Holly from The Girl's Next Door and Selena Gomez.

Holly has come into my work a couple of times, but I had no idea who she was :lmao:

I saw Willem Dafoe in line for Tower of Terror - we had done child swap, and he and a couple other people were in front of me in line with a plaid. It took until I was walking out to meet DH that I realized why he looked so familiar - it was the Green Goblin! :rotfl:

I just remembered, DBF swears he saw Jackson (from Hannah Montana, can't remember the actors name) while we were there a couple months ago. None of us saw him but he swears it was him....

This may be a dumb question.... sorry... so the plaid CM's only escort celeb's? I was trying to remember what the CM's wore and all I can remember is red solid jackets. So is there special ones that were the plaids for the celebs? Hummm, if so I know what I'll be looking for next time :)

Do some celebs forego the plaid CM and just try to blend in with the crowd? Has anyone ever seen a celeb just by themselves or are they with the plaid CM's for the most part?

From what I understand, it's like $300-400 an hour for a plaid cm to escort you around the park and A LOT more to get the front of the line pass...

I was talking to a CM about this and she says anyone can do it if they have the money to do so!

DH spotted Paul Walker from Fast and Furious somewhere in Fantasyland with a female companion and a little girl. I saw Quinn from past seasons of Real Housewives of Orange County, not quite as famous but still fun.

We have seen Pam Anderson, and one of the famous ice skaters as well as an NFL football player. I think dh said it was Jerry Rice or something. I am not into sports but I think that is who dh said it was. He was a 49er. The asian ice skater wasn't Kristi Yamaguchi but the other famous gal and she was there shooting a commercial.

We just saw John Faverau as well on Oct 24th. He was watching Fantasmic with his family and we pretty much followed them out of the park (we were watching it as well and sitting right in front of them). They were in the dessert seating and we were right below. We also saw ANOTHER famous comedian who has been in movies and tv but for the life of me I can NOT think of his name. He was there that same weekend in World of Disney with a plaid but I still cannot think of his name.

Some celebs do try to blend, and I'm sure they are good at it. I'm sure we've been there at the same time as some celebs but we've never noticed them. We always notice them when they have plaids with them. And they are called plaids because the uniforms they wear have plaid, also a solid blue but there plaid too. The ladies skirts are pleated and pleats are plaid inside and blue outside.

When my now 22 yo DD was 3 we saw the then 4 yo Olson twins filming an Easter thing or something near Toon Town. My daughter waved to them from the sidelines and one of the twins said to the other in aw, "that girl waved to me". That was so cute. :cutie:

What a cute story! Little 4 year old Olsen twins and your little 3 year old...totally picturing it (well, except I don't know what your DD looked like, LOL).:goodvibes

Hey Bumbreshoot, I am up in Bellingham. Gotta love the PNW.
I will upload a picture when I find it. It was very cute.

A couple of years back at Epcot we saw Michael Jackson with two of his kids. No plaid CMs, but he had an entourage of other people with him, probably his own security as well as some of Disney's bigger people. He came in just to ride Test Track. Sorry, I know it wasn't DL but figured in the scheme of things...
