Jon and Kate Plus 8, Official Thread-Part 3

I'm sure if there's a divorce Jon will have the children most of the time and Kate will have the children when she feels like it.

And she will complain about how exhausting it is to do everything alone. Some people always have to victimize themselves to boost their sense of self importance.

You know, what I noticed on Monday's show was a difference in body language, especially Jon. I always felt he seemed anxious, like he was worried about what Kate would say next. He was sort of tentative in his movements. On Monday, he seemed to be physically calmer and more confident. More relaxed, despite everything that was going on.

Not the kids though. It was especially hard to see the twins scurrying around trying to help their mom. It felt like, oh no, we have to take over or mom will have a complete breakdown.

Yeah- when he's not hanging out at bars with 23 year olds... or having them over to sunbathe....

Exactly! ;) She'll be off doing her thing and when she gets home, she'll allow him a life. I honestly feel like she's going to hold all the cards in a divorce and she'll cry to the judge that she absolutely MUST travel for business, so Jon will HAVE to be available to be with his children. Then when she comes home, and her schedule allows, she'll boot his butt out of the house until she'd bored playing mom and go back on tour somewhere, and expect him to drop everything and come back to be with the kids. And FWIW, I love how everyone is so surprised at the sunbathing. Do you really think the paps were the ones to break that story? :rotfl: With all those kids around you don't think one of them clued mom in when she got home? :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: When was the last time you were able to keep a secret from your spouse with your kids around? And when Kate realized, what did she do? She left again, instead of sticking around and fighting for her marriage and her man. Jon is just a means to an end. Kate was going to have these kids whether it's what Jon wanted or not. I think everyone agrees that got married when Jon was relatively young and almost immediately got thrown into having twins. How hard is that on a relationship? Then you push for more? Now she's complaining about what a rough life it is when he's doing most of the work. She's away for a week or two and her "job" at that point was to shop for a party and throw the party, but all she did was complain and moan about how hard it was. She took the kids shopping, but the kids were off playing while she had Mady and Cara help with the party bags. Then she had someone else watch them while she had help setting up the party. So what was so hard?

I guess it's hard when your personal errand boy/punching bag/stress reducer has decided he's had enough.

The judge CAN'T require a parent to be a "stay home" parent.... Jon can get a job and put the kids in daycare if he wants.... She'll "allow" him a life... What kind of wuss is this guy?? She's aggressive and he's passive aggressive.... NEITHER OF THEM IS A VICTIM... the kids on the other hand...

I believe that she married him because he was younger and she could control him. Well she got what she wanted. She wanted someone who she could control and tell what to do, what she did not realize is that it would end up biting her in the butt because she has to tell him everything to do.

I don't get why people don't understand why she was upset about Jon not being there to "help" with the party preparation. IMO, it was the fact that he simply left. She was very clear that they have help, so that wasn't really the issue, it was that he was ABSENT.

Are there really that many women out there that would really think it was okay if their husband just left for the weekend on an unplanned "getaway" during a weekend when you had family things already scheduled?

My husband travels for work and I was a SAHM. Honestly, I never once opted out of a child's birthday party preparation when he got back because I was tired of being home alone with the kids. I might have laid down for a nap and had him do the shopping or something, but leaving for the weekend?

Isn't this a board to discuss things about J & K? Does that not include what we think on the subject?

Discuss your opinions all you want. But expect others to disagree.

I think people are assuming an awful lot by declaring that Kate does nto want to spend any time with her kids, etc. & etc.

This picture really speaks a thousands words doesn't it.

Yep, it speaks volumes to me. According to Kate, this show is FOR THE KIDS. Everything about the show (including the books, the tours, etc) is FOR THE KIDS. The only reason they do all of this is so THE KIDS will have everything they deserve ... b/c the kids DESERVE THE BEST.

Yet, here we have this little guy off on the sidelines with his bike. All alone and looking rejected. I can just picture him seeing all the attention the motorcycles attract ... so he heads off to find his bike in order to garner some of that attention for himself. "Look, Mommy! I have a bike too! Play with me, not those guys."

Yep, it surely looks like this show has been good for that little guy.

Access Hollywood just had very old videotaped home movies that Jon & kate made 10 years ago, when they were in their early twenties and so in love. Kate was so gentle, soft & free then. They were just barely students, making their first trip to Disney. They were very lighthearted then. She didn't have the hardness, harshness or critical attitude she has now. Jon wasn't so sullen and subdued back then.

Sad for them both. :(

Jon was away becasue he needed a weekend off? Sorry jon, you dont get a weekend off from being a parent and husband. Especially when his children were having a bday party and left kate to do it all without him. Sory this changes my opinion of jon(for the worse) and what was he doing on his weekend away?

One other thing I noticed from the show - thoes 5 year olds are STILL in highchairs???? What is the deal with that???? My 2 year old isn't even in a highchair anymore, and I can't remember the last time she was! I mean, maybe they want to make sure they stay at the table.... I don't know - I just thought that was crazy.

Hey, they don't have the bibs anymore so we are happy...;)

Has anyone thought that she made him leave before the party. He had been there with the kids while she was gone and now she is back and she may not want him there and then she played the victim for the camera's

OMG - thats really sad.

I was watching the episode from Disney, when Kate totally freeked because one of the girls got ice cream on her outfit. They were doing the interview at home, and one of the producers asked her if she thinks she over-reacted.... With a totaly straight face, she was like "No, I don't think so at all." :sad2:
