I don't know if I told you all or not, but I had a job interview. I wasn't totally in love with the place, but I knew I could tough it out, if need be
But today I got the call that I got the job so now I need to wait for a background check to be done and that's it. I'm also excited about the salary. In Florida, it's very typical to get paid almost nothing. and I've never made out of the teens per hour. This will be my first job, making in the twenties per hour. I know this doesn't seem like a lot to you all who live up north...my friend in NY makes $40 an hour as a nurse..but I'll gladly take it.
I think I'm gonna buy a bigger piggie bank.

Congratulations! I got a job too: substitute teaching. I'll start in August.

I was very surprised after graduating college that I couldn't find a job that paid well at all. Florida is tough, but we have got it good in other ways.

How are you? Did you get through that awful storm ok?

We are good are you guys ok? They only showed Longview but I figured you guys got it too. They said it had started to dissapate by the time it got to us so not sure. I had about 5 calls during the storm making sure the kids and I were not on the road. Apparently some of my friends think I am more insane than I am! I had me and 4 of my 5 kiddos sitting in the hallway trying to act like nothing was wrong lol. They didn't buy it to well! And my 14 year old texting me being sad because she was going to die by herself without her family because her mommy would not come get her.
