Well I was "supposed" to work tonight at TDS from 8pm - 11pm for inventory - but instead was called in and worked from 11:15 - 5:15 and then me and my friend went to dinner. I had a half turkey sandwich, dry, on wheat. It was okay but I'm still hungry...it was on their "lite" menu and had the calories so I went with it. Of course I'll have a second dinner now....but one a little more in my control and I'll still be within my points today. AND - I had a pleasant surprise when I got home - DH & DD finished getting the Christmas decorations down - WooooHooooo!!

Hi,

Well for me the decorations have been down since 12/26. That is the earliest for me and let me explain why. DD (Abby) was home for Christmas and the week and brought Zoe with her (kitty cat, aka grand-kitty). Well Zoe woul dnot leave the tree alone at all. Actually the day after Chrstmas, as I have been told as I was at work and did not see it, Zoe got stuck about one-thirds of the way up the center of our 6 foot tall artificial and fully decorated and lit tree. That was it = Abby and DH got Zoe unstuck and said well the tree needs to come down, no two ways about it.

I came home from work and the tree was 80% undecorated and all the christmas stuff was down that night.

Quite an adjustment for me as I am used to leaving the decorations up through the first week of January and epiphany.

I love Zoe and hopefully next year, when she is a year older she will be a little bit less curious!.

Question of the Day

For those who celebrate Christmas: Is all your decorations down?

Nope! Tomorrow is Russian Christmas, so we keep them up until after that.

I am SO glad I found this thread! I've been doing well so far. Last night I did something I've never done before in all my years of dieting. I was feeling like I wanted "something". I ignored it, but it kept up, and I really wanted something sweet. I had a can of my diet orangeade (I usually limit myself to one a day), but that didn't help. So...I PICKED UP THE PHONE!!!!! I called my Mom and said "Hi Mom, we're going to Scotland!" She thought I was nuts:lmao: but after talking with her about our trip and other stuff, I hung up and was able to ignore the feeling (which had lessened alot by then). I am so psyched! I always say that my "toolbox" is full, but I keep forgetting to open it. Well, I opened it!

Meanwhile, I've lost 18 pounds since mid November when I had surgery (my appetite dropped off and so I took advantage of that!) I was getting pretty messy over Christmas, and then we planned our trip, and that was all the motivation I needed. I've been to the gym every day except today, walking on the treadmill and using the elliptical trainer (which, BTW, is my favorite exercise--I love that thing!) I have arthritis, so I started slow. I've been doing 1/4 mile on the treadmill at 1.5 mph, followed by 10 minutes on the elliptical. Yesterday I really felt like I could do more, but I didn't want to push it. Tomorrow I'll increase to .30 miles, and 11 minutes, and then increase every 2 days by .05 miles and 1 minute. Like I said, I want to be able to do 2 miles. Once I get there, I'll bump up the speed a bit. I have 2 surgeries ahead of me this spring (a skin graft to close the incision from my November surgery, which never healed, and then rotator cuff repair), so that will slow me down, but not by much! I am determined!!!

Best to all of you, and I can't wait to get a buddy!

OK, this is weird. First it won't take my post, and then it triple posted? What's up with THAT?

Happy Birthday Charity!

Hi, I hope all of you are doing well and making healthier choices. I have been doing OK in the drinking water and exercise departments. But I have been eating healthy meals and a bunch of junk snacks.

My Christmas stuff is still up I am not sure when it will come down. It will probably be another week or two before it is all packed away. Most of the outdoor stuff has come down.

Tomorrow my online classes start. I am taking two classes towards my Master degree in non-profit management. We shall see how well I do managing my time with the additional commitment.

Good morning guys!

I hope everyone is doing well for this Monday!

As far as the question of the day, we got all our Christmas stuff down last weekend. And in it's place all sorts of LSU stuff to celebrate our victory tonight! Hopefully anyway!

About to tackle the morning exercise and then this week will be off to a good start!

Have a good day everyone!

Does anyone have the link to the smaller version of the BL4 challenge clippie?

Hey guys!!! Just checking in! I'm on the countdown... I leave for WDW Wed night and I'll be running the 5K this coming Friday. I'm so excited, but nervous too. I don't feel as prepared as I would like, but I cannot wait to experience this. It's something I never fathomed possible for myself...

Hope everyone has a great day!
Stacie

I just grabbed it from a signature. If you right click on it in a signature you can get the properties for it.

Good morning, everyone! How did you all do this weekend? We had some challenging food situations, including dinner a some friends' house Saturday and dinner out yesterday, but I was able to take it easy on the food and saw results this morning on the scale, thank God! This is the first Monday in a long time where I weighed less than I did Friday (yes, I'm a scale freak, compulsive about weighing every morning -- not good! :rolleyes1: )

Happy Monday, everyone! I am going to be so good this week because on Friday I AM GOING TO DISNEYWORLD!!! :woohoo: :cheer2:

Good morning everyone! The weekend was a bit of a downfall for me but still a loss from last week. I'm bad and step on the scale each morning as well and yes Saturday morning showed me weighing less than this morning. Still it is all part of the lifestyle change I'm trying to make and that means learning how to get through weekends as well. :)

Good Morning! I actually got up somewhat early this morning :woohoo: :cheer2: I'm working on trying to get up early enough to workout before work. But my norm lately has been to oversleep and go in late :sad2: So, this is a start.

I think I did pretty well this weekend. Not as great as I could have but pretty good.

I too have been weighing compulsively. I'm happy w/ what showed up today, hoping it sticks for tomorrow's weigh in.

Have a Great day everyone!!

Good monday morning everyone.

I had been good til yesterday afternoon, and went on a crazy stress eating binge. Yesterday is over, and today is a new day, and I am back on track, and going to stay there. I did a 30 min watp video this morning, ate a healthy breakfast, and am off to work now. There is supposed to be a big warm up here in the next few days, so I hope to get out in the fresh air to walk tomorrow.

We can do it!!!! :cheer2: Tomorrow is weighin day, and hopefully we will all see a loss!!!:cool1:

good monday morning -- well at least the temps are mild for ohio in January! i couldn't believe when i heard a high of 64. BIG FOOTBALL day here for us buckeye fans....but i'm actually opting out of the party we were invited too. it's too late so i'm keeping the youngest home and then i can avoid the temptations! i'm not into watching the games, i go to socialize and i know this game folks will be into the game....so i'll stay home in my jammies :thumbsup2

sorry i didn't get smaller versions uploaded yesterday -- here they are

Well back home to reality, lol. The scale was not as bad as I thought it would be after hosting Christmas Eve and day and then off to WDW from 12/26 and home last night. I got on the scale this morning:scared1: and I gained exactly 1 pound...:scared1: I am shocked I knew my clothes felt the same but while I did not make great choices, the choices I made I only ate a littel of.

Take a few days off from the DIS WISH Board and you end up 10 pages behind... I am up to page 18 now, so I should be caught up in time for the next thread to start....

Anyways...

Answers to QOTD...

Q1 - I like to walk and I like to swim. I start my new aqua aerobics class in a few weeks and I can't wait....

Q2 - the tree is down, but the ornaments are waiting to be packed back up. That is on the list of things to do this week... So sad to see them go away for another year....

I am going for my weigh in tonight. I am a little nervous about this since I didn't have a great weekend food wise. I had some nachos on Saturday night that I am hoping will not come back to haunt me tonday... I have been hiking up and down the stairs today to try and get some last minute exercise in to offset the calories. Hopefully, it will work. Other than that, I have had a pretty good week...

Talk to you all soon,
Goof

Good morning everyone! I am excited to see all the early morning action on the boards. I have not done any exercise today, but hopefully will get something in before the sun sets today. I had a pretty good day yesterday. Spent most of the day getting the rest of the tree down. All the decorations are in their tubs ready to be put in storage. I stayed within my points and that is a good thing. I haven't started journaling yet, so that is my goal. I have 28 ounces of water beside me waiting to be finished and a couple more where that one came from, so I think I am good with the water. I didn't eat much breakfast, only an orange so far. I am not big on breakfast, but am trying to change that too. :) I wish everyone luck tomorrow while weighing in. I am rooting for all of us!

Have a super Monday!
