Hi Jenny :wave2:

So how was Christmas? Hope to "see" you soon :goodvibes

 Hi Jo!!! Christmas was awesome! We had a blast with Jenna and the gang. I am trying to finish but now I am dog sitting so it won't be unil tomorrow that the last part is finished.

:dance3: :dance3: Ok girl, your company has left the building, the cleaning can wait, you need to finish your TR before the New Year LOL! Seriously you're killing us here with the cliff hangers that last weeks ;):dance3:

:goodvibes How did you know I was cleaning like a mad woman? I am trying to get it posted but with the Wii in house, it's hard to get much done. DH bought me the HSM game for the Wii so the girls, their friends, and I were up late last night singing. It's SO much fun!!:rotfl2:

How was Christmas?

Day 10: So now it’s 7:30 pm and the sky is clear! Looks like the fireworks will be a go! :woohoo: I was dying to see Spectro but worried about making it for the fireworks by 8:30, so what does my wonderful hubby do? He tells me to stay and watch Spectro and he’ll take whoever wants to go with him to ride the rockets so we don’t miss Eileen. How cool was that?!!! Gab stayed with me while Michael took the Joshua and Chloe to Tomorrowland.

Gab and I snagged a prime spot for Spectro directly across from Tony’s. We chatted about what a fun tip it had been and how glad we were that we bit the bullet and went to WDW instead of Disneyland.

The lights dimmed and the parade started. I had heard that Spectro was like the MSEP at DCA. Hello? No way! Other than twinkling lights, it wasn’t like the EP at all. The EP happens to be my very favorite parade of all time and I have to admit I didn’t like Spectro very much. The psychotic looking clown things scared me to death. :confused3 What movie are they from? Anyway we watched it but it’s not something I would insist on seeing again.

:hyper: After the parade we booked it to Tomorrowland by cutting through all of the shops. Love that little tidbit of info. We arrived at Astro just before 8:30 and found DH chatting with Eileen. Once we arrived the kids gave her the Lady we bought. She thanked them profusely with tears in her eyes. They had written on a little card too. It was a tender moment. There were 2 more CMs with “their” families who were also going to view the fireworks from the Astro deck.

We talked with them and the other CMs about how magical Disney was. pixiedust: It was really magical. On the way up the Astro elevator, I lost it again and tears were streaming down my face. It was really more than I could handle. I mean think about it, that’s a once in a lifetime opportunity and it was ours. I felt so blessed and lucky and my heart was so totally overflowing. Again, for the non-Disney freak, I know how silly that sounds but for those of you who get it, you totally understand. :cloud9:

We stood on the deck and waited for the fireworks to begin. Eileen was right; the view was like none other; truly unique. We could see everything from where we stood! She said to pay really close attention to when :tink: was flying because we could see her entire flight and her landing.

We took a load of pictures from the deck, which are still my camera. Hopefully the mods won’t close this because it won’t be finished until I get the final pictures up. Anyway, with tears still streaming down my face, the fireworks began. WOW! :thumbsup2 I have no words to explain how amazing they were from this vantage point. Unreal, unbelievable, and spectacular, hardly do it justice. Tink’s flight was just as awesome as she said it would be and the girls were in heaven. It was like the show was just for us with only a few other people there. We watched in awe and nobody said a word. :goodvibes

As soon as they ended, Eileen led us into the elevator and handed us yet another Dream certificate as we exited. That I can take a photo of and post later.

We gave big hugs and Eileen asked if she could walk us down Main St as we ended our final night at WDW and MK. A profound feeling of sadness swept over me. We walked and made it to the castle in time to see the kiss goodnight which totally left me sobbing. I think, for a moment, Michael saw what Disney means to me and appreciated it as well. pixiedust:

We strolled down Main St while Eileen told us the story of a recent Castle suite guest. It was a little girl who was dying of leukemia and her family. Her dad had to carry her around the park that day because she was so ill. Later when they got to the Castle suite, Cinderella was actually in the suite waiting for the child, which they don’t usually do and she said there was not a dry eye in the house. :sad2: There wasn’t a dry eye with us either. I think we all felt very grateful right then and amazed at the power of Disney and phenomenon that Walt created.

We said goodbye to Eileen, exchanged emails and big hugs, and watched her walk away. I don’t know that she will ever truly know what she did for us. We will never forget her and plan on meeting again on our next visit to WDW. :grouphug:

:sad2: I cried all the way out and all the way to the bus stop and all the while waiting for the bus and all the way back to the POR. Michael asked if we’d be hitting MK in the morning before checking out? My answer was: no way! That was the perfect ending for such a magical trip and I didn’t feel like tempting fate. That day couldn’t be topped and nor would I try. I wanted that to be my lasting memory of WDW until we could return.

Next up: departure day and how we spent 30+ snack credits! :3dglasses

Dude, why you gotta make me cry....?

wWOW! So very cool! What a great way to end a great trip! You reallly had such a magical time and your guardian cast angel was sent to you all to make your dreams come true!

I agree with you on spectromagic, the guys at the beginning of the parade are scarry! I saw EP when I was a kid, and nothing compares.

I can't wait to see all the pictures!!!

Jenny that sounded absolutely amazing, you are so lucky and thanks for telling us all about it :goodvibes

Can't wait to see the photos :thumbsup2

So is it still May 09 or is there still a possibility for December of this year?

It looks like May 2009 is our best best. DH has agreed to that and with Mexico next month and the landscaping this Spring, we'll be lucky to be eating more than Top Ramen as it is. ;)
