I think I told you guys I have a gadget fetish (I love them) well, here's the new one: electronic grocery list. You press the button, speak the item and it automatically puts it on a list. Then you can print the list out when you go shopping. I think it's cool. Bill on the other hand told me I was crazy "and what's wrong with a pen & paper" <sigh> he just doesn't understand :rotfl:

That does look cool, but I must admit we have the pen and paper on the fridge instead. :rotfl: I can't see dh "authorizing" that type of expenditure.

For those of you with crappy weather please stay safe. It is supposed to be here tomorrow and they don't know what it will be.

Hope everyone is having a great weekend.

We are expecting a winter storm later tonight into tomorrow and possibly beyond. They say 6 to 12 inches. It is bitter cold here so I'm sure we won't get freezing rain.

I think it is too dry for anything to happen here tonight. Our radar shows a wintry mix all around us, but there is nothing happening outside. And it is still 37 degrees. Stay safe, friends!

I am watching the Celtic Woman Christmas concert on PBS while I DIS and do research on a talk on Christmas Carols and Customs I am giving on Monday. I must say I am definitely getting into the Christmas Spirit tonight! :)

Can I get Pixie Dust this way???

We have rain right now.....just enough to coat the streets...the kids are marching again tonight in 2 and 1/2 hours...the streets are bound to be slick:eek:

Plus I really don't want to watch the parade in the rain and I want to get pictures. :sad2:

actually, so far so good...we have had it for 1 week. I am finding it easier than everyone yelling items at me and them I am expected to remember to write it down...it is easy enough to for all of them to use (even Bill has mastered it)

I had to laugh when I found Jackie leaning into it and whispering "Ipod" continuously. I said...grocery list..NOT wish list!! :rotfl2:

:rotfl:

Good for you guys for getting the shopping done! I still have to wrap all the gifts I have bought too. One thing at a time, though.

Are you getting snow yet, Deb?

Nothing yet, but it's coming. I think tomorrow will be a good day to stay home and wrap presents.

I just checked accuweather. We are currently 13 degrees, but it feels like 1 degree. I guess we should be happy that we aren't in the negatives...yet. It looks like the storm will hold off until early tomorrow evening then dump on us all night. It is doubtful that the kids will have school on Monday.:sad2:

I just checked our weather. We may get a little messy tomorrow and Monday morning. I'm guessing we won't really get any of it...we'll see.

I guess I'd better end my P3.

Kristine how is your weather now? We have ice everywhere! I am so glad I do not have to go anywhere today.

Not sure if our washer will be delivered today or not.
So how bad was it for you midwesterners? It is just now starting to sleet.

Hello All. We just discovered emailsanta.com. The kids each sent a letter and got an immediate response. Then we checked to see who had been naughty or nice. We were all nice, but the kids all got B+ and I got a C+ I was just being honest :rotfl: It was fun seeing what the kids from around the world were writing.

Do you like it? Sounds very intriguing! I would think it would come in handy for a family on the go. When someone notices that something in the larder is getting low, all they would have to do would be to talk into it, right? Ingenious, actually! Let us know how it "really" works out!

Sounds like a Clare-ism.

So it's YOUR fault! You jinxed us!

We did the letters the other night. And we check the naughty or nice list daily at http://www.claus.com/naughtyornice/index.php

The sleepover was a success. I survived, and more importantly, so did the children. They went to sleep around 11:30 and were up at 6AM! I heard them playing video games downstairs but I didn't go down until about 7:30. Parents were here at 8:30 to retrieve them. We were busy running around all day today and I am finally laying down resting. I'm exhausted.
